  • Nikon D810 is compatible with 5 Lightroom?

For the first time trying to attach new D810 with Lightroom 5.6, Mac Pro 5.1 2012.

In addition, for the first time call Nikon (I was old Canon user) and they want to sell me their software to capture from $180.

Uh, no thanks. I'm trying to figure if LR 5.6 is compatible D810 "attaches" but it doesn't appear so.

D810 also uses USB 3.0, and Mac Pro's USB 2.0.

I have a 15 ft cable USB 3.0 that imports images from camera in the Mac without problems, but when I start captive capture LR says "No camera detected".

Someone at - it a response?

Lightroom does not support attaching them to the D810 - yet.

  • Nikon is not compatible with El Capitan

    Hello

I hope someone can help me with this...

I have a Nikon D3200. I just got a new Macbook Air with El Capitan, and he didn't have problems trying to use the two together.

I could not install View NX2, who, after some research, I discovered is a common problem with El Capitan. I found links on other threads that led me to download View NX - i and another link to download View NX2. It seems that View NX2 is now installed, but when I connect my Nikon, it is not recognized. In fact, I have another point and shoot Nikon camera and it does not seem to recognize that no more. Problem is that I can not even use Photos as the importer on my Macbook Air because my camera just is not recognized at all.

Side note: I have connected my D3200 to my old Macbook that runs on Yosemite. View NX2 and Photos seem to work well with the import of images. They both open up when the camera is connected. But I did not have enough space on this laptop to import the pictures anyway...

On another thread regarding this issue, the user spoke using the Image Capture to import the photos. BUT my camera is not recognized by the Image Capture either...

I'm not sure this is a Nikon problem, or a problem of iOS with El Capitan compatibility - I foresee contacting me Nikon too.

    Thank you!

I also have a D3200 and it can connect with the latest versions of NX - i, of Apple's Image Capture (found in Applications),

Photos (I've disabled this) and Adobe Lightroom.  with the exception of the pictures, they don't open automatically.  It comes

with 10.11.2 of an end 2013 27 "iMac to start 2011 13" Macbook Pro.

Select this check box, plug in the camera and then turn it on.  Then in the Apple menu, click about this Mac...

Then click on the system status button.  On the left side of the box of the report, expand the material (if it isn't already)

then select USB.  You should see somewhere under the tree of the camera "NIKON DSC D3200".

If this is not the case, there may be a few odd hardware problem.

That's what I get with transfer of images (nothing to camera when I did):

With Nikon Transfer 2 provided with NX - i:

And just to smile and laugh:

So the connections work, just need to understand why it does not work on your Macbook Air.

NX2 is borked and will probably never get it fixed because it is replaced by NX - i.

You must also remove all Nikon software and re-install NX - i.

Also check the version of the firmware on the camera. Mine are listed as C-> 1.04 and L-> 2.009.

  • Hi how I can get.my nikon d7200 to work with my lightroom program 4

Hi can anyone help to bought a nikon d7200 but cannot use my lightroom software 4!

It takes to spend on new software or will there be a fix for this problem?

    Thank you, Jamie

    Two options-

    1. upgrade Lightroom software to the latest version. (Minimum required for D7200 is v6)

    2. download and run the free Adobe DNG Converter - Convert from raw to DNG raw format images. Import into LR4.

Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Windows: Adobe DNG Converter 9.1

Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Macintosh: Adobe DNG Converter 9.1

  • Files Nikon D810 and LR CC raw / DNG Converter

I just got a Nikon D810. I upgraded to Lightroom CC as the Adobe person assured me that she would recognize my D810 raw files. This isn't. Neither the 9.3 DNG Converter. I already have successfully copied the files to a folder on my hard drive. What's wrong? Help, please!

I know, I thought it would be too much work. It says "Preview not available for this file" - Although it shows the boxes (with no images) and file names. Is it possible to only put in place something wrong on the device itself?

You connect the camera directly to the computer, or you use a card reader?

Have you used the Nikon software to get the images of your device and on your hard drive? As I read the Nikon software can corrupt, change, images as well as the Nikon software can read them.

  • Does anyone know when Lightroom5 will be upgraded to be compatible with my new Nikon D750? Thank you

If someone could just tell me what Lightroom5 will be compatible with RAW images from my new Nikon D750. I tried chat, phone and now here. First time very frustrated Adobe user. I bought this product in order to be able to develop images RAW to discover what is not not compatible with my camera.

You and thousands of others are so ask about it. It will be supported in the next update. But there is no announcement as to when it will be. There is a release candidate of DNG converter 8.7 you can use to create copies DNG that you can use now until the next update is published.

  • Can I use my AVI of Nikon D90 files in first Pro CC on my iMac?

Hello and thanks in advance to anyone who can lend me a helping hand. I am new to first Pro CC and Macs. I used my AVI of Nikon D90 files before with Premiere Elements on my PC no problem, but the same movies do not work on my new Setup with first Pro CC and an iMac.

I can see and hear the film clips in the Source window, but when I try to drag the sequence window I get a little hand with a sign of 'no '.

    I use a version 7.1.0 (141) CC PP and I am on OS X 10.9

Do I need to transcode the files? If Yes, what? And what is the best way to do it?

    Thanks much for any help!

My guess is that you have not yet a timeline in the sequence window. You can right-click on the item in the project Panel and create a sequence of the clip that will be exactly right for your support.

The fastest way to start is with a series of tutorials that take really very little time to complete.

It should get you passed to Premiere Pro quickly.

  • 4.4 Lightroom; Camera Raw 7.4 and Photoshop CS6 13.0.6. Not compatible with Nikon D810 raw files

I work with Lightroom 4.4; Camera Raw 7.4 and Photoshop CS6 13.0.6. Last month I bought a new camera Nikon D810, when trying to open files with this software I'm told that the files are not compatible with this version. I have updated their until I could, but still I can not work with my new file format. What is the solution?

You must update your version of Lightroom to 5.6 or newer to support the native file of the NAVE of the Nikon D810. Take a look at this page for more information on when a particular camera support has been added to Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

  • I just switched to a Nikon D80 with a Nikon D90 and I use Photoshop 4 and bridge. I can't open the NEF (raw) images off bridge. How can I get the camera raw dialog screen which came to my D-80?

I just switched to a Nikon D80 with a Nikon D90 and I use Photoshop 4 and bridge. I can't open the NEF (raw) images off bridge. How can I get the camera raw dialog screen which came to my D-80?

Devices supported by Adobe Camera Raw

First of all, the D90 was supported in Camera Raw 5.1.

Open Photoshop and click on Photoshop (Mac) or help (Win) > Plug-ins > Camera Raw to see what version you use.

Photoshop CS4 comes with Camera Raw 5.0.

Try to update Camera Raw in Photoshop to 5.7 via help > updates.

If this does not work, try to manually edit Camera Raw

So your Camera Raw is not up-to-date.

The Nikon D90 has been initially supported by Camera Raw 5.1

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

and CS4 is compatible with Camera Raw to version 5.7

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html

If help > updates in CS4 says again you are up-to-date, then try to manually install the Camera Raw 5.7
