• Iomega Portable hard drive now does not appear under "Devices" after accidentally deleted USB cable. USB

  My Iomega eGo Portable hard drive was connected by USB on my Macbook Pro OSX 10.9.5 cable and I was transferring my iPhoto folder.  Unfortunately, the cable dropped and I got a message on my laptop hard drive had not ejected correctly.   I reconnected it the cable, but now, it does not appear under devices in the search page.  I also checked the disc utilities and it isn't here either.  I tried to connect the hard drive of my iMac, but it does not appear in the devices out there either.

  Although I have been using a Mac since they first appeared on the market and can usually work things, I find it more and more difficult with all the new technology.  Everything that used to be so easy, one of the great things the Mac since MS-DOS.

  If anyone can help I would be very grateful, because I have a lot of files on this disc of old Mac and use the Iomega to backup my most important files.

  The drive may have failed.

  Try different USB cables.

  Remove the naked drive from the iOmega enclosure and test it in a known functional wardrobe.

  I just updated my OS to Sierra of MacOS. I have connected my external hard drive (HDD) and it does not appear under "Devices" in my Finder window. It worked fine before the update.

  I use a MacBook Pro (end of 2013), currently running MacOS Sierra (Version 10.12). My external HARD drive is a SeaGate Slim SL Media (500 GB).

  The external HARD disk appears in disk utility application. He also appears on the about this Mac > system report > USB. I don't know what the problem is, the external HARD disk is identified but does not appear for use in the Finder window.

  I read that it could possibly be in mode 'sleep' and putting the MacBook to sleep (while it is plugged into the external HARD drive) and it to wake up again should solve the problem.   It is a problem that has been reported previously in iMovie 10.1.1. Photo library will be displayed intermittently when iMovie is launched. The only solution I know is to open the photos app before the launch of iMovie. That has always worked for me. It seems that if Photos is opened and closed even before iMovie will appear. Once it appears, it will remain as long as iMovie is open. I hope it works for you.

  Hello Marwan,

  When you create a document you have many options that can make changes to it.  By default, a document is open to all registered to edit users.  If you do not want to allow anyone to edit your document, you can make this change through the function of 'collaboration '.  Just change the document you created and develop the collaboration tool to view your options.

  5440 HP Office Jet works great on win 7 64 bit system except, that the device does not appear under: Add Remove Programs, and from the start menu. How ever id appears under the motto and printers. Need to know how to get the bequest to reappear under programs, menu add/delete and start.

• I cannot import video from iPhoto to iMovie because the app does not appear under 'movies '.

  In the screenshot you posted, you should see iPhoto in the list between films and photo booth. Also movies iPhoto should appear in the browser. Since you see nor it seems than iMovie and the operating system cannot see iPhoto library. If you click the photo button in the toolbar you see your photos in iPhoto? If this is not the case, this would confirm a problem with iPhoto library. Try opening iPhoto, hold down the command and option keys. In the first aid window trying to repair the library and perhaps rebuild if repair does not fix your problem.

  I checked my installation of JDeveloper, and this menu option is there. It is used to manage the Java libraries in general and has nothing to do with JDBC.   SQL Developer documentation is wrong.

  I already pointed you to the Preferences section to manage third party JDBC libraries and the Division helps. If you don't want that follow, then you are on your own.

  Note that DB2 / iSeries is not a third party database supported in SQL Developer.

• I am trying to transfer an old profile in Windows 7, but the AppData folder does not appear under my name in the USERS folder. How can I find it?
