ITunes can import 24-bit audio files?

Hello

I've been looking for the right settings import audio files in 20 bit and 24 bit. Is there anyone who can tell me if iTunes is able to import these files without quality loss?

I am desperately looking for a response on the internet and nobody seems to know (or care?).

Thanks for any response, Marc

iTunes will downconvert to 16 bits, if you convert the files.  I use Enqueue or VLC to read files that I don't want to convert.  There is a free app on the App Store called FLACTunes that allows to convert to Apple Lossles, but she too back.  It was an application named Fluke that would allow iTunes to play FLAC not converted. I have but it is buggy and I don't know if it is still supported.

    Hello jesskenneth,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers Site.

The extension Flac is not a type of supported Windows Media Player file. However, you can user your favorite search engine to search for a solution that can convert the file in a supported file type Windows Media Player.

    Hi Tim,.

This is not a supported feature. If the PDF is secured and you have the legal rights to extract the audio, it would be possible to locate and unzip the PDF file raw file data using third-party tools as follows the structure of the file of low-level (a hex editor or editor Cos) - but Acrobat can not help you.

  • Can't understand why audio files always take a lot of space on my macbook

Hi everyone, I apologize if this has been asked before, I'm going cross-eyed trying to find an answer.

Stupidly, I didn't use iCloud DOES NOT mean that all my music and photos would be stored on the cloud and take MUCH space on my macbook. I discovered the hard way. So I'm moving all my pictures and music on an external drive. All well and dandy. Except that since I moved my iTunes library and all my music files, when I look at my storage, it shows still 154 GB allocated to audio. (Meanwhile there are now 140 GB Audio on my seagate SOMETHING that was supposed to happen happened.) I've looked everywhere, I can't understand why there are still some 154 GB of audio files on my laptop. Any suggestions or tips are greatly appreciated. Please be lenient, I was on a pc for a few decades and finally crossed the step last year, but I'm still confused by all this cloud stuff and find my way in on a mac. (I'm on OS X Yosemite). I guess it's one thing to iTunes, but I could be far away.

    Thank you in advance.

I guess that after you copied the folder iTunes external hard disk, you checked if everything is there, then deleted the folder iTunes on your Mac drive.

If NOT, then you know what to do.

If so, force Spotlight to reindex the reader.

Rebuild the index on your Mac - Apple Support Spotlight

    ---------

iTunes: link again or external HD library:

    * Open iTunes while holding down Option (Mac) or shift (Windows).

    * In the dialog box, click Choose library.

    * Select the iTunes folder that you moved to the external hard drive.

    * Click on choose (Mac OS X) or open (Windows), and then choose the library inside iTunes file.

  • iTunes can't find my music files

In Windows employer all my music files are in the folder itunes/music/itunesmedia. My itunes is also set at this place, but most of my music has the explanation mark and will not play? What can I do?   I recently tried to clean my multiple file locations by moving ALL my music files to this place, have closed and reopened itunes and have executed the "consolidate files."  No assistance

The "missing file" error occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parent folders, or the reader, he feeds has been a change to the drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl - I to get the information, and then click No when asked to try to locate the track. (Because of a bug in iTunes 12 you currently have to say no twice!) Look under the Summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music folder in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case. If everything is where it is supposed to be trying to fix the security permissions for iTunes for Windows.

In some cases, iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info, but this time, click on search and browse the lost track. Then, it can offer try to automatically correct the other broken links. Although he said something like 'use the same location' I think he expects to find the titles in the same layout artist & album that they were before, with a systematic change to the path.

If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed files then the chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies will make it difficult to restore media on the precise way that iTunes is expected. In this case, as long as the missing files somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script for reconnecting to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.

If you want me to try to provide specific advice, please post back the following details:

    1. The location of the media file under Edit > Preferences > advanced
    2. The location of a sample of missing follow indicated under Get Info > file > location which begins file://localhost/
    3. The real path to the file which you gave 2 details.

  • How can import you programmatically ics files?

My work used MS Exchange, and I like meetings of export business of ics files so that I can import them into the calendar from Apple to get the recall of them on my iPhone. Sometimes I get too busy and forget to check my personal email in order to import the ics file. This has led to more than a missed session I get enough deep my job of writing code, systems architecture, etc. So and if well, sometimes it takes employee leave for the day to remind me that I have to go home for the day, too!

Since my Mac at home is always online, I looked at using Dropbox/hazelnut instead of e-mail/applescript, but it seems that he is I have the same barrier - by program (i.e. non-interactively) import the ics file. I found snippets of Applescript that can work with some adjustments. The below a runs until the calendar app opens asking to specify the name of the calendar to import the event in. I need to manually answer the guest with cancel/ok right here. I change the calendar name setting window title parameter 'Add' and default home', but it's still stuck there.

    dupCalName the value «»

the value path (path to the office as text) & "Personal.ics".

    Tell application id "com.apple.iCal '.

    activate

-Get the name of the application (probably 'iCal' or 'Calendar') for the GUI Scripting later.
    Set iCalName to its name

-Since it is possible for more than one calendar to have the same name, the idea of the repeat loop is better than the simple name here references. But that one loop is necessary in this part of the script.
Repeat with i from 1 to the count of calendars

Set thisCalendar to i - calendar Gets an id to the calendar reference.
If (thisCalendar name is 'Personal') then

    Set dupCalName to "Personal".

    Set replacementName to "Personal (old).

Set the name to thisCalendar to replacementName

else if (thisCalendar is "Personal 2") then

    Set dupCalName 'personal 2 '.

Set replacementName 'personal 2 (old) '.

Set the name to thisCalendar to replacementName

    end if

    end repeat

    tell the end

    delay 1

-"Double click" the file, because the Calendar iCal/s 'open' does not work in future versions.
Tell application "Finder" to open the file path

    Tell application "system events".

    say iCalName of process

-Hedge bets on the name of the window "Add an event" or "add events".
say (first window whose title begins with 'Add event')

    Repeat until (if it exists)

    delay of 0.2

    end repeat

Click on the popup button 1

Repeat until (menu 1 pop up button 1 exists)

    delay of 0.2

    end repeat

Click on the menu "new calendar" menu 1 pop button 1 up

Repeat everything in (menu 1 pop up button 1 exists)

    delay of 0.2

    end repeat

    Click on the OK"" button.

    tell the end

    tell the end

    tell the end

-check if a 2 personal exist after the new iCal import and change its name
    Tell application id "com.apple.iCal '.

    activate

Repeat with i from 1 to the count of calendars

thisCalendar Set of calendar I have

If (thisCalendar name) is "Personal 2" then

Set the name to thisCalendar to "Personal".

    output of repetition

    end if

    end repeat

    tell the end

    Tell application "SystemUIServer".

    activate

If dupCalName is not "" then the screen of dialogue "Found an existing calendar named" & dupCalName & ".". It was renamed "& replacementName &". "buttons {"OK"} default to the 'OK' button with icon 2.

    tell the end

I found importing ics files was something that I forgot to do it manually, so I came with a Hazel rule that uses the Apple script to automate it.

My Hazel applies to my Dropbox to 'follow' folder and my download folder. the ICS work/other files will happen through Dropbox, and those of my macbook, where the rule is executed, are saved in the folder downloads.

Hazel detects the ics file, run the applescript and finally moves the file to the trash folder. The script has reliably namely when the calendar app is done by importing the ics file, so I hardcoded a delay at the end of the script so far. Without the delay, Hazel will try to move the file before it has been imported. You will get an error message from the calendar app that it cannot process the file when this happens.  You may need to play late, if your system takes a long time to import the ics file.

    Use case:

Many of my social networking sites allows you to export the events under ics file to import into your calendar. In addition, my employer uses MS Exchange to schedule meetings, and if you forward a meeting to your personal e-mail address, all in session sees. If instead, you export the ics meeting and import, your information is secure

    [code]

    property dittos: alias "Users:jgooch:Downloads:e1204988566180171.ics".

-"Double click" the file, because the Calendar iCal/s 'open' does not work in future versions.

    Tell application id "com.apple.iCal '.

    activate

-Get the name of the application (probably 'iCal' or 'Calendar') for the GUI Scripting later.

    Set iCalName to its name

    tell the end

Tell application "Finder" to open the file dittos

    Tell application "system events".

    say iCalName of process

-Hedge bets on the name of the window "Add an event" or "add events".

say (first window whose title begins with 'Add event')

    Repeat until (if it exists)

    delay of 0.2

    end repeat

    Click on the OK"" button.

    tell the end

    tell the end

    tell the end

    delay 2

    Returns true

    [/ code]

This works very well with Hazel and El Capitan.

We did a huge interactive pdf file in InDesign, with text and sound and video files. They read well both in Acrobat Reader on imac and a PC with Acrobat Pro. The file opens in the application overview on imac, but then the audio files and video files are not possible to open. Anyone know if there is a feature to listen to sound files in the application preview or Acrobat Reader is that so?

If your A / V files are not also playable in the preview, then there is no configuration preview that will change this fact, and the interactive visualization is Adobe Acrobat Reader on the Mac.

  • QuickTime import into single audio file

I made a video After Effects Quicktime last night and tried to import into Premiere Pro today but PP is only to import the audio. I checked the file and the video is there and it works very well in a drive and in After Effects. Premiere Pro, on the other hand...

I point out that I did the last update yesterday and it's the first time to have this particular problem. Anyone else having this problem?

Well, I found a solution of sorts. The real project was yesterday, so I had to go forward and dynamic links to the file in After Effects and just make it through all of creation. So it's now out of the way. My boss yesterday as well updated and it has had a similar problem. For him, the first said that he has not found a certain video file. He would later copy the project and all the goods to a different folder/location and that solved the problem. I tried to move the Quicktime file, but not the entire project. This morning, I opened a new project and attempted to import the same Quicktime and he did very well.

The culprit, seems, is the one that made her ugly reappearance after many great updates of Adobe. We had started these projects in the previous version, then set to level and attempted to continue/complete the project. For some reason, first gets a bit confused by this.

    Thanks for all the help!
