• Boot Camp x 64 is not taken care of on this computer model

  Hi all

  I need help to install Windows 7 on my imac I have listed all the specs here:

  24 "iMac - early 2009 - Intel Core 2 duo E8135 - 8 GB - running El Capitan

  I have several versions of windows can I install:

  XP Pro, Vista (somewhere), version of 32-bit Windows 7 upgrade, Windows 7 full install the 64-bit version

  The problem I encounter is that, while I was able to install the full version of Windows 7 (64-bit), I am unable to find any version of the Boot Camp software, support that will install properly.  When I try to install the downloaded software when I created my PC boot camp partition it gives me the message "boot camp x 64 is not supported on this computer model."

  Does this mean I can have only a windows partition that is running properly if I buy a 32-bit version of Windows 7?  Is there a way around this, like the installation of Snow Leopard first on my mac and the corresponding version of boot camp.  I guess I could start there and make all the upgrades?

  You're right, the computer is a Probook 6470 B.  I also noticed in your chart that the docking station power is estimated at 90 watts.   How I plugged the power lists 65Watts on etiquette, which may explain why it does not work very well.  I think I must have caught an old powersupply in my bag for laptop computer to my upgrade of the previous work computers.  Another food I have is rated at 90 watts; I'll give this one a try.

  If your phone is connected to the internet, it will ask you to enter your gmail account to retrieve the password after several failed attempts to unlock the phone.

When you replaced the motherboard, replacing out an a1310n and explains why you see what you're doing. The replacement card has very probably a model different name, product number, serial number, and software build ID then what is printed on your computer. You have 2 choices to fix this;

  (1) take or send the HP computer or a Center authorized service and the "Tattooed" computer with the right information, such as indicated in your case. "Tattoo" is the process of writing of HP/Compaq to the BIOS system information. This service can be a significant cost.

  (2) purchase HP a1310n recovery disks (5092-3066-Windows XP MCE SP2 recovery disc + Supplement 1 (61NAemMPC1/2)) of the third party provider ComputerSurgeons.com

• How can I use my admin account when I forgot my computer password?

  I was recently reading to make a password reset disk. I did it successfully. I also redesigned and strengthened my index of password to make it just something I'll remember.

  I also read that I could also connect to my laptop using my administrator account, if I forgot my password for the regular user. I don't know how to do this. The Vista Welcome screen shows my normal username when I start my computer. How to access my administrator account?

  It comes to my laptop. I'm the only one using it.

  A couple of years, I've had problems with one of the Service Packs. I had a very good help from Microsoft. One of the people helping me explained how to connect using the Admin account to display system information. I think she used the DOS prompt to change a setting. Then the Welcome screen showed the Admin account. But, if I can't log on my computer to do this, I can't do the account Admin appear on the Welcome screen. Is there another way to display the administrator account on the home screen?

I am very proud of my computers altruism because its creating discs for other recovery models computer, but it is very frustrating for me to be the owner of this particular model.
