iWork Suite for Mid 2007 MacBook 13 inch

Just erased my 13 inch Mid MacBook 2007 running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5. How can I get the applications in the suite iWork (Pages, Numbers) for this machine?

Install from a DVD iWork; If necessary, buy one from a source like Amazon or eBay.

  • DDR3 DDR3L vs for mid-2012 MacBook Pro 15 inch

On crucial.com, I chose my system I, mid-2012 MacBook Pro 15 inches. I want to move to 8 GB of ram, but I want to know if their DDR3L will work. On their site it says DDR3 is 1.35 volts and the DDR3L is 1.35 volts as well. They are both the same speed, 1600. What is the difference between the two and the DDR3L will work? My current ram is DDR3 4 GB and the speed is 1600. Thank you.

  • RAM upgrade for mid-2012 MacBook Pro question?

So, I bought some RAM Corsair (2 x 8 GB) to install in my MacBook Pro for mid-2012. It has been well over a month now and I get freezes and flaws that were not there when the Apple RAM stock has already been installed. My question is... are it freezes and the seeds one result of the brand of RAM I have installed (Corsair) or the fact that I am superior to the amount of 8 GB of RAM recommended for this laptop of Apple to the particular address?

    Thank you.

As you can see here, your MBP can, indeed, support for 16 GB of RAM. However, DIMMs must meet Apple specifications which are often much more demanding that really meant DIMMS for PC can meet. One of the advantages of buying from OWC (in the link) is that they provide 100% support so their products need to be designed with the Mac in mind. If you have no problem with DIMM Apple, but you do with Corsair DIMMS, I would say getting them replaced or, better yet, to get a refund.

  • Best replacement battery for mid 2009 Macbook Pro

    Hi all

The battery on my MBP of mid 2009 is on its way. I discovered recently that Apple now no no batteries for MBP 2009 community service because they are vintage. I was very disappointed by Apple, after hearing this. My question is what is the best replacement of the third battery in my laptop? I read the comments from Anker Lizone, keys and power GreenBox. They all seem similar, much good reviews, some bad. Nothing similar to the original farm. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks in advance!

  • OS for mid 2009 MacBook Pro update

I work for a non-profit on a laptop given to us by a local research laboratory. So the first thing to understand is that I have to find "the best way to make things work" even though it is not as advanced or great power that may be desirable in an ideal situation. Who says:

I've been running OS 10.6.8 on a MacBookPro mid-2009. From now on, the software companies are all pulling the versions of software that I can use on 10.6.8 so I have no choice but to update my operating system.

My concern: two years ago I updated a MacBookPro 2007 10.6.8 to 10.7 (Lion) and he died 3 weeks later. The technology at the Mac Genius Bar told me that it was because the real hardware - hard drive of the machine - was so old that the upgrade has been too hard on it and it burned. I understand that, even if the hard drive is not burning after an upgrade, the computer may run very slowly and for the same reason (physical constraints). It would also be a problem.

Given all this, what is the best suggestion for the safest possible and achievable OS upgrade, that I can put on my machine so I can stay in business? Can probably manage 10.7, even if the material is nearly 7 years old? What 10.8.5 10.8 or same?

I realize that system specs say it can work even in Yosemite. But I don't want to take the risk that go well, given my recent disasters.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

You never mentioned the amount of RAM the machine has-

You can always switch to Mountain Lion 10.8 - here

    http://www.Apple.com/shop/product/D6377Z/A/OS-x-mountain-lion

There is a cost, but I don't know if you call or otherwise contact Apple with your situation - you can get a redemption code - well no harm in trying

  • Updated BIOS for mid-2010 MacBook Pro?

Cannot get my MacBook 2010 mid Pro 13 "to recognize the new 3 TB Western Digital My Passport 3 to. Execution of Yosemite and noted topics such as this one with Yosemite and a variety of HDs external on the internet. No problem with the previous 2 TB WD My Passport which it replaced as more storage. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Again internal 2 TB Seagate HD.

There is "a knee in the curve" technology used in outdoor pens. 2.2 TB. The older models do not work with elegance on the disks of this size.

If you have a smaller car that could live in this place, then you can exchange the 3 TB drive in another enclosure to try. If all else fails, you need a new case to go over to 2.2.

  • Macbook Pro 17 "since mid-2007 update

    Hi all

    I currently have a MBP 17 "bought mid-2007.

So far, the computer is doing well (for a 9yo computer). I just upgraded to El Capitan without problem. However, for some years now, my computer is slow (which is I guess than expected).

    I was trying to update.

    Here is the info:

    MacBook Pro (17-inch 2. 4 GHZ)

Processor 2.4 GHZ intel core 2 Duo

    Memory 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 256 MB

I would be interested in upgrading my RAM and also do a SSD upgrade.

    RAM upgrade

As I understand it, with my mac, I go to 4 GB of RAM. In this regard, I have 2 questions:

-is it worth it for me to update the RAM (I am currently using on average 1.7 GB / 2 GB of RAM)

Should-2x2gb RAm I buy? I looked a little, but I can't find exactly the name of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM for 2x2gb... Would be Crucial 4 GB Kit (2GBx2) DDR2-667 SODIMM memory for Macdo the trick?

    SSD upgrade

Today, the mbp is a 160 GB SATA drive. For me, 160 GB is quite small, I'm always struggling with space when I barely programs on.

Is it worth updating the SSD in my case?

If so do you have any recommendations on what SSD to buy it?

I've never updated before mac so your knowledge and your comments are very much appreciated!

Thanking you in advance for your help

    See you soon!

    Hi Aqualover001:

Congratulations on maintaining your Macbook Pro going for so long.

You can actually improve your memory 6 GB. http://eShop.MacSales.com/search/MacBook+Pro+2007

El Capitan uses a lot of memory. I have a Macbook Pro 2011 and had 4 GB of memory and found it was not enough. I upgraded to 8 GB and it works well.

I don't know if you can add a SSD, but I found a video on installing a hard drive, but it seems a little involved. Here is a video to view. https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=K9r1UAVq9AU

Maybe someone else who has a 2007 can comment on the SSD.

  • 24-inch iMac (mid-2007). How to upgrade?

I have an iMac 24 inch (mid-2007) with Mac OS installed 10.6.8. I just installed a new HD, I have to reinstal of Mac OS X. I am to the 10.5.8 level using my cdrom. How can I upgrade?

    Thank you.

The upgrade to 10.5.8 requires using a disc; It is generally a retail DVD of Snow Leopard. It can be purchased on the Apple Online Store.

Update since 10.6.8 is possible by downloading El Capitan, or redownloading a BONE you obtained previously from the Mac App Store or by purchasing a download code for Lion or Lion of the mountains on the Apple Store online.

Hi xmicros, it looks like your Mac comes with 10.4.9, which you can not download, but you can buy and download 10.6.8.which should work just fine.

  • The upgrade of the MacBook (13-inch, mid 2010) HDD and RAM

    Hi all!

Before I get started here are my system specs:

    MacBook 13 inch, mid-2010 (white)

    Model: A1342

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 320 M 256 MB

    Serial number: 451244SHF5W

    Software: OS X El captain

OK here's what I've done the research and understand from my research since a page archived Apple.com, ifixit.com and crucial.com and some comments I've read as well:

According to ifixit.com, saying that most of this computer can manage is a 750 GB hard drive, yet I go to Crucial.com and when I look at the SSD (which I can't afford) says that this computer can be installed with a 1 TB SSD. Does this mean I could install a hard 1 TB? This computer can manage a second 500 GB hard drive at all? My second Question is in what regards the memory now, I go to apple.com page archived and is no longer being updated by Apple, it says most who manages this computer is 2 GB to 4 GB. I am not convinced. Is not possible to move to 8 GB to 16 GB or more on such a system? I'm just curious, I bought this from a seller on eBay who reconditions the Apple laptops and I bought this for a member of the family. If none of these improvements are possible I send this computer back and get my money back. Thanks for the help. I need a response as the end of today! AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

    It's the right information:

A model of Macbook 2010 7 identifier, 1 will support up to 16 GB of RAM (download the OWC)

    https://eShop.MacSales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/upgrade/DDR3_Wh ite

You can install a SATA HDD/SSD currently available that are 2 TB of capacity.

You can install a "data cube" instead of for a second HDD, but as this Macbook DVD drive can have a 2 TB of HARD disk installed, I see little interest to do unless you have an extraordinary amount of data.

    Ciao.

  • Can I connect an Imac 24 inch, mid-2007 in Spain American?

I have a 24 inch American mid 2007 Imac, but I just move to Spain and I want to use it here.

THE CORD is BED 125v (it's a small label on the cord) and in Spain, power is 240v, does that mean I need to buy a transformer?

I have only a converter for the plug but not a transformer if I'm afraid to plug it.

    Thank you

Yes, you just need an adapter plug that should be available to any airport or the hardware store.

  • The Sierra of MacOS will propose for the Mid 2009 MacBook Pro in the near future?

I have a model Mid 2009 MacBook Pro and when I try to upgrade the software of OS systems to the Sierra, he refused my request to download because it "cannot be downloaded to this computer." I noticed other Mac computers, for example, iMac Mid 2009 or newer and MacBook Mid 2009 or more recent systems only one are close to mine are candidates to download the software, but the MacBook Pro is the only one that is not on this list for availability. So, my question to my question is, will be available Mid 2009 MacBook Pro updated to day for Sierra anytime soon? And if not, why?

Please let me know what your answer is as soon as possible.

    Thank you!

    My answer is no.

However, as long as I and everyone here, do not work for Apple, my answer is certainly not authoritative.

However, as I've used Apple computers for more than 30 years, he never had a case when they released an additional OS that works on previously excluded material.
