JAva virus
I got a Java update recently but no word if this update fixes the hole in java who gave us a risk of viruses. There are no updates on java or very useless forums Web site. Anyone knows, thanks
There has not been reported with the last update specific security concerns. Java has been so problematic for so long though there is a consensus among security experts that vulnerabilities will continue to emerge.
It is not true that "almost everything using Java.» Sometimes people confuse Java with JavaScript, which is very widely used. Applets Java a lot less.
How different JavaScript Java?

Are what plug-in "TM" you referring?
And, no, it does not protect against the 'hacking' or viruses.

What programs do I have and what they are and what can remove chrome Google java 6 update 4,7,11 I have firefox, it's the same thing and something called microsoft redistrubate
1. you want to only have the latest Java installed. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall all older versions. Then download and install the latest version of JRE 6 Update 21.
http://Java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
2. Google Chrome is a browser. Mozilla Firefox is another browser and Internet Explorer. A browser is software that allows you to 'see' the Internet. It does not hurt to have several browsers installed, but if you do not want Google Chrome, uninstall it from Add/Remove programs.
3. make sure that your computer is free from virus/malware by performing a thorough analysis. At least do preparatory work and scan with MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware, as described here:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware
4. I'm not sure what "redistrubate microsoft something called ("restributable"?). [translation] "means, but if it persists after that you did the malware scanning please post back with the missing details.
If you can't do the work yourself (and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea), take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad).

Yes, so either you have malicious software, or something has changed your homepage.
What you can try. (I advise you to follow these steps in the order)
1 reset your default home page.
- Press the ALT on your keyboard in Firefox, then click Tools > Options.
- Go to "Général" and click on "Restore default" under Startup.
- Then close and reopen Firefox and see if the malware popup always appears.
2 look for malware on your computer and malicious Add-ons on Firefox.
- Press ALT on your keyboard and click on tools > Add-ons.
- Sweep your list of Add-ons for those unfamiliar or suspicious, then click on 'Remove' or 'Disable' next to them if you find them.
- Download Extension Defender (an add-on on the Mozilla Add-ons page).
- Open it and find the Firefox malware, in case you missed some dangerous Add-ons while watching on your page of modules.
- Download Malwarebytes Anti-malware.
- Install it from the installation file that you downloaded.
- Once installed, open the program, update the database, then run a scan with it for malware on your computer. The program will remove malware for free. (Feel free to uninstall Malwarebytes, once you have finished using it)
3 reset Firefox, which can resolve a number of issues which you can't fix it with Firefox.
- Type of topic: support in address browser bar and hit enter on your keyboard.
- Once you reach the page, click on "reset Firefox... ».
Note: this will reset your Firefox addons, preferences, etc.
I hope I can solve your problem!

I need not any virus
There is a version Firefox 8.0.1, but always download Firefox only on the site of Mozilla to be certain that you found a copy of "own."
The update for Firefox 8.0.1 is not "pushed" for Windows users. It is not available using the help > about Firefox > check updates for Windows users. Firefox 8.0.1 was a major problem for users of Java with OSX (Mac); There was also a problem for a small number of third-party Windows users with some add-ons.
- See-> https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/8.0.1/releasenotes/ (expand "What's new in Firefox")
You can download the full installer on the link below, save it to your desktop, close Firefox after downloading (Firefox button/file > Exit), run the Setup program.
- Download the current version (choose your operating system and language): https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
- See-> http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Installing+Firefox

How can I now if I have a malware or a virus?
Hi, I just drop on a Web site that gave me a warning of a possible virus or malware on my computer (I'm nervous and I closed it down) so I don't know if it's a warning to safari from apple or a malware or a virus on the site
What happened between the two, and a few minutes later, it's my mac started to go very slowly (always the safari was opened) and I tried to look for the problem but I couldn't do anything because he has everything locked for a few seconds and slowly again
so I closed safari and restarted the Mac.
now everything seems fine
so I deleted all cookies, history and cache I've seen on other posts in this forum
but I'm afraid I have a virus or malware or something
but I went to research, and new versions of the mac does not come with Java installed (so mine)
So it is possible that I still have something, since I had no java installed and already deleted all cookies, history and cache and all data Web site?
The pop-up is just a simple Javascript and tries to rip you off.
And no, there is no virus in the wild which will infect your Mac.
If you stay alert and keep your Mac OS X up-to-date, you'll be fine.

Only if the device has been jailbroken. You have received a popup of java in Safari. Go to settings > Safari > clear the history and data from the Web site, hen, everything should be good. Nothing to worry about.
