Jet L7780 Office color printing problems

Recently received an error message that my head of printer KY on my model # C8192A Office Jet is missing or damaged. I replaced the print head. The good news is the printer works. However, it is not the green color printing. A ran a self-diagnosis page. All 4 cartridges are almost full and they expire in 2016. Health of the print head was listed as good. Any suggestions?

I see that you have the Officejet Pro L7780, recently it takes to replace Black / Printhead yellow and now it will not print green. It is possible that the printhead cyan / magenta must be replaced, even if it is listed a "good."

You will have to perhaps run a level or two of cleaning, perhaps to align the printer. This HP document: Troubleshooting Print quality problems will show you how to perform these actions.

  • absence of dv6/PSC of color printing problem

    I have a dv6-6b91eo laptop core i7 and a machine to print/copy/fax psc 2100. The problem started a couple of days when I had to remove a piece of paper that had tied in the printer. I did a test run from the pc and only got a b/w copy. I thought that maybe the color cartridge had been damaged as asked me to remove the cartridges for inspection. I replaced the cartridge with a new color. I did a test run from the pc and only got a b/w copy. I then tried the copy function and it scanned and printed OK, color and all. So, what to do? Is there a software patch that can fix the problem? I Don t have an installation cd for the PSC, so if that's what is needed I must find it on the web, but where? Is it a pc or a printer problem? Any help much appreciated.

    Downloaded and run the HP and Docfor Scan print program, but he found no problem with my system, but after I did a backup copy of files on my external hard drive WD My Passport, and here the dv6 color printing capability has been restored after the backup! Also I have absolutely no idea how or why, but the printer works now dv6 o.k.! If you have no idea why this has happened, please let us know, I really want to know both why stopped dv6 color printing after only eliminate a jam on the psc 2210 (no changes have been made on the dv6 and scanning and printing color directly from the psc2210 worked o.k.) and why it has been restored after having made the back-up file. Very confusing to say the least. I will mark this as a solution, but I would really like to know why.

    Photsmart 7520e-All-in-One Printer - have had several printing problems with tints very concentrated prints all pink or all blue or all green or gray.  Place in a new point of sale because I read that it might be a power issue.  This seemed to solve the problem.  The next morning to see the same problem... rising arrrrgh.  Spent by the doctor to print-scanning HP and do you feel test shows I have counterfeit cartridge-[test print shows all alphabet caps and tiny alphabet; color block and alignment are perfect] and please note I have all the authentic color HP cartridges.  Printed quality report and it came out perfect 3 times. Printer a fourth and he came out with lines horizontal ghost on all color blocks.  Again to print and it was perfect.  Print report situation printer and not rated for conflicts.  Is it a power problem, Windows 7 problem - please help.

    Personally, I would say that the problem you describe sounds like a printhead problem and perhaps a cartridge problem, which should dissipate if you try another cartridge. My best advice would be to check the steps in the guide below, make sure that you have tried all the. Some steps may look familiar to you already did some work on this issue.

    If the problem arises again, however, after these steps, troubleshooting, I would recommend contacting HP directly, to see if they have a replacement option for you or for a trade in option.

    The colors in the print window of are different with a photo of basic, and if I start to print it print the right color.

    The printer is gecallibreerd and if was no problem so far. The wrong color is still red.

    When printing color photo, there is a thin vertical lines about an inch of distance. Ruled out interference from other devices connected to the printer via the USB port. I did copy the image on USB and put it in the USB port of the printer. The image has NO vertical lines. I have a suspicion the printer driver. Anyone with the same problem?

    Thank you for your interest. I have solved the problem. It turns out that the only time where I had vertical lines wes when I was printing color photo of my computer, program Picasa or Microsoft. The disapeard question when I chose the best print quality. It is much more slow but clean! the lines have been in my opinion line breaks in the quick printing mode.   • Office Jet 7310 all in printing problems

    I have the OJ7310 All In One.  For the past two weeks, the print quality is bad.  Do not print the straights, pages begin at the top left and when printing is complete, it is tilted on the page to the right with the lines walk slowly to the right.  The words are illegible due to this increase in staircase.  I have tried aligning the cartridges, cartridge, disconnect and reconnect the printer, automatic test of cleaning pages.  The self-test, you are white vertical lines in each band missing white space and colored in color test patterns. Black test target, most are OK, but there is a white stripe going vertically up and down.  Individual color blocks seem to be OK except a jag on the left top edge purple, green and red.  Food seems to be OK.  I deleted and reinstalled cartridges, looked for pieces of paper, removed the cartridge duplex on the back and reinstalled.  When you print a presentation last week, he repeated that she was having paper jams when there was not any jams.  I do not buy a new printer, if it's something that can be solved easily, but I need my printer for business and it must be legible.  When I go to the best quality in the settings, it seems better.  I print a lot of things every day in the project and this is the worst.  I've never had problems with this printer because I got first and had to update the driver.

    Clean the tape coding as shown here.  That should solve the problem with alignment change towards the bottom of the page. For the missing nozzles try cleaning the contacts on the cartridges as shown here.

  • HP Office Jet 6000 wireless duplex printing problem

    (Note: all printers updates have been made)

    Printer works great as duplex, however:

    I try to Print Duplex (1/2 letter size pages - portrait booklet with the paper size of 8.5 "x 5.5" ).

    When I go to print I select the paper size for brochure (predefined size as shown above), however deselects the duplex option and manual is the only option.

    If I reselect Duplex then the size of the paper goes back to 8 1/2 "x 11".

    It's normal for duplex printing on non-standard paper?

    I know I can do it manually by printing one side at the time, but it defeats the purpose.

    A list of most of the formats accepted for our printers can be found here (http://goo.gl/Bwv10), although according to their use some sizes may not be supported.

    Hello! IM in charge of a large print in a University Lab. All the quad macpro running on 10.6.4 CS5 all updates.

    I have a major problem when all 3 printing CS5 applications: (being the worst) Illustrator, photoshop and indesign: each one produces a different impression, even if I use the SAME color management options (color management application using my own created color with an i-profile file - a tool of greta macbeath and using eye - one match 3). IM to print on a laser 7750gx XEROX printer. very cool printer never had problem with colors before with him, in any case, it was always the software part that was causing problems of color (as I suspect in this case).

    How can 3 software under the same application collection and the brand, using the same color profile and options (IDENTICAL! it is triple check all the options!) can produce 3 different prints when you print the same image (this is a color created in photoshop CS5 psd)?

    I remember having trouble like this when we arrived first CS1 in our lab, but not that bad... I checked everything... I really don't know how to solve this problem...

    the best setting so far is in Photoshop during the application manage the color and using my perceptual color profile file. best performance so far, not the best I've had in the past, CS4 was much more perfect with color management.

    I really need to find a solition because students are waiting for the color to be almost perfect (and they almost used CS4 in the past...

    Well, the code printing changed between CS4 and CS5. Among other things, we have refined the color management to follow the evolution of the requirements of the OS.

    It looks like check in the tool is a good step.

    I don't get accurate color. I tried two new cartridges HP color without success. (I can't check for the Toolbox since I got my new computer with Vista). I only get black and pink and white essentially. Until very recently, even thought that it is an older printer, the color was excellent. Any suggestions? Thank you.

    Although the issue you described is different from what the title in the following document States, the proposed solution might help: printed Images contain blanks or streaks of single color.

    I understand your Red looks more like Brown when it prints, I think that the cleaning cartridges can help. The above will help you in this. Also, please make sure that your ink cartridge ink level is adequate.

    Cyan does not; Yellow barely comes out when printing.  Tried all three levels of cleaning of the printheads with no luck.

    Print report prints black (three shades of black & gray); Pink (six shades of pink); shows barely any yellow; no blue.

    Another problem when faxing multiple sheets from the top, one sheet will be Telec.  None of the others are picked up and sent thru fax.

    The warranty of the cartridge is based on the information printed on the cartridge (and readable by the printer) as shown in the paper here.  It should not be necessary to have an acknowledgement.  In which country are you located?

    The print heads are separated from ink supplies.  There are four inks separate, accessed from the front.  The print heads are accessed from the top as shown in the document here.  Note there is a combination black/yellow print head and a cyan/magenta printhead.  The print heads also have a guarantee, based on the date and usage.  Check the use based on the plug diagnosis and the date in the above warranty document.

    You could settle on a previous installation. Try this:
     
    Go to your device manager and see if you have an old installation of the printer and right click Uninstall. You can also check if there is an old facility of the printer in Control Panel, printers, right click and delete it. Install the printer using the Add Printer Wizard. If it fails again with the same error, go to Device Manager right click on the name of your computer, click on "Scan for harware changes". He must find the printer and install it.
