JO 8600: unused cartridges

Are the cartridges from my old 8600 officejet series, serving just now be inserted and used on a new hp 8600?

Depends - installing cartridges cannot be used in another printer.  If it's cartridges at retail they could be used, but only if "cartrdige" protection was not established in the original printer.

If the protection of the cartridge is set then the cartridges can be used only in the original printer.

    Hi @Paula15,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you have found a cartridge problem message on your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. I'm happy to discuss this issue for you!

Please have a look through this guide, an 'ink cartridge failure', not 'compatible ink cartridges', or 'Ink cartridge problem' Error Message appears on the printer. You will want to ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges does not, and if one of your colors is low or empty, they will need to be replaced as well. Check out this guide, printing with depleted cartridges, for more information.

Hope this information is useful and have a beautiful day!

  • Officejet Pro 8600 ink cartridge error

one or more cartridges seem to be damaged K.  Message appeared after replacing the exhausted original install black cartridge.  I replaced the cartridge to spare with a new cartridge, nothing helps.  I cleaned the contacts and even replaced all the original cartridges installation, once again nothing is.  This is a wireless printer and PC using a windows 7 Home premium OS.  It seems that a printer problem not connected to a PC or a BONE.  It's the HP printer 2nd I have who has the same problem.  All suggestions except substitute the printer?

@ REBjr.  -I understand that you are getting the error message on the printer that is related to the print cartridges.  Are you using genuine HP unfilled ink in the printer? I would like to start by doing a hard reset of the product to try to put the printer back into a known working state and try to clear the error message before replacing parts.  Here is a document that provides the steps for the hard reset.  Also, is there residue on the black cartridge?  If so, I would look at this link here. It aims to get a printer ink cartridge error message when you try to install a new black cartridge in the machine. I hope this helps.

  • New half full cartridge

I bought the combo color/black ink for Hp Office jet pro 8600, ink cartridge number 951 approx. A month ago. At the time, I needed only one color. I keep other stored by Hp recommendations, in any case, I had installed the blue today, it's less than half full, a new cartridge.  We

took another package and tried to be as blue to make sure it wasn't the printer itself, we recorded complete. Placed another back in, said it was a little less than half full. I contacted the place where it had been purchased, they said contact Hp. The inks do not print as many pages as specified by moments, it seems that it differs from one place to another retailer.

What or can make a missing ink, I'm not complaining, stuff happens, however at $110.00 a pop for ink a month sometimes $220,00 depending on where you got it, I feel I have to ask, is it as about $30ish a cartridge.

  • 78 cartridge XL

I have a deskjet 6122. I put a new cartridge XL 78 of the storage. It does not work.  Noticed it says Singapore may 2012. It's new, just what I can do to make it work or is it really has expired. Desperate, I bought again a (78) and the printer works fine.  Any suggestions

The date on the cartridge is the end of warranty date, not an expiration as such.  (The cartridge may work after the expiration of the warranty).  What is the nature of "it doesn't work"?  If the cartridge is rejected, or it prints, but with the wrong colors?

The likely failure of old cartridges would be yellow or cyan does not. This case can be cured by soaking the print head nozzles down to approximately 2 "of very hot water for ten minutes about.

Another possibility is that the cartridge is rejected with an error message on the computer (or the flashing on the printer).  In this case clean the contacts of the cartridge as described in this document to solve the problem.  Note that at this stage, you have two 78 cartridges with tape removed.  The left print heads pending will dry out.  But... do not create a Ribbon on the nozzles because this will almost certainly cause colour mixture, ruining the cartridge.  You can store the unused cartridge as follows: get a "sandwich" size Tupperware and put a piece of towel folded in the background paper.  Put about a tablespoon of water on paper towels.  Now place the cartridge on the side, ensuring not to let the print head in contact with the sides or paper towels.  Seal the container and keep in a place fresh until the cartridge can be used.

  • Wireless Canon Pixma MG5320 printer does not

I got the Pixma MG5320 for a few years. All computers are connected by wifi. Not had any problems until yesterday. The printer is displayed in offline mode in all computers suddenly and nothing can be sent to the printer. I tried to turn the printer off and on several times. The printer itself seems fine. I did the same thing to computers. The printer does not appear in network. I use Windows 7 and Windows 10.

Anyone know what is the problem and how to fix it? This is the problem with the wifi the printer component and is it replaceable?  I have a lot of unused cartridges. Just too lazy to replace this printer yet.

    Hello.

  • HP Deskjet 882C prints only in black and pink

    Hello

I need assistance with my printer.  Before changing the cartridge, my printer started printing in black and pink only.  Then, I changed the new cartridges and it is always the case.  My OS is windows XP Version 2002, service pack 3.  I have had no changes to the operating system at the start of this problem. Short buying new printer cartridges, I thought I would check with you.

    Thank you.

The issue has nothing to do with the drivers or the operating system, there is a problem with your cartridges.

You have probably some very old cartridges #23. The cartridges have a life span and may lose colors (usually of first yellow and cyan) if stored for years. If these are original HP cartridges check cartridge warranty date as shown here.

If the cartridges are inside their two-year warranty call HP to 1-800-HPINVENt or contact your dealer for replacements. If the cartridges are beyond their warranty period, then buy a new cartridge.

Where to buy new cartridges are looking for the date "install by" on the package. I would look for a package at least six months before the "install by", which would have had a year of remaining warranty.

When to store unused cartridges for an extended period to keep them in a cool place and keep them trained as they would cling on a store display. This will give you maximum shelf life.

    Kind regards

  • do I have to buy color ink cartridges? HP Officejet Pro 8600 more Windows XP

    HP Officejet Pro 8600 more

    Windows XP

The printer will not print anything (including black and white which is my default setting), at least that I have installed a new yellow ink cartridge.  He says that the cartridge is exhausted and must be replaced before printing.    I have black and white printing color cartridges? Is there a solution? Thank you very much.

    DavidDavid salvation,

Yes, you will need to replace the yellow cartridge to continue printing. Here's a good explanation of the design of the print mechanism, and what is needed to keep them in good working condition. Your printer is user replaceable print head. With this printer's ink lines that need to be filled in ink in this way that the print head should not be clogged jets in turn cause poor print quality problems.

HP, as other printer manufacturers, offers you with permanent print heads printers requiring ink for all colors, avoid the print heads.  HP, like some other manufacturers, also offers printers with user replaceable print heads.  These may of may not require ink in all colors in print, even though damage may occur if the print from the cartridge empty.  Finally, HP as some other manufacturers also offers printers with the printhead into the ink supply.  He is replaced at each change of cartridge.  These printers will happily print with a diet low, empty or many deleted completely same models.

When you buy your next printer (from HP or from another manufacturer) be sure that you understand what is the type of printer and choose one that fits your needs.

  • How can I disable the cartridge on my HP officejet printer protection 8600?

    Hello

I read that the officejet 8600 has a cartridge protection feature that can be disabled through the Toolbox. I have been through all the settings in the printer of his auto tools and can not find, I also have trawled through all kinds of HP stuff on my computer and cannot find any protection tool box or cartridge feature.

It's one of the links, I'm referring too.

    http://www.cartridgesupport.com/HP950and951usage.PDF

But has met several items similar to this on the net. If someone out there can give me a step by step method to achieve this goal, I will be eternally grateful.

    Thanks in advance.

    Robert

Is your printer still under warranty? You can check with the tool of warranty HP here.

If this printer is connected over the network, you can enter the printer's IP address in your browser and change the settings there.  You can find the IP address of the printer from the Control Panel, click on the wireless icon.

This disables the marking cartridge so that they cannot be used in another printer, that it does not print with another printer that have already been marked cartridges.  From the web page: "feature allows you to mark all the authentic HP used in your printer cartridges so that they cannot be used in any other printer. If someone tries to use your cartridge protected in another printer, use of the cartridge will be blocked and they will be that it can be used in the original printer. »
