jpg made slow on g 4305

I have a DMM 5.2.2.13 management 8 g 4305 DMP 5.2.1 running.

The problem I have is some of the running jpg files in the playlist are rendering/loading slowly when they are displayed. More slowly load jpeg. Thus, for example, half superior image appears in a second or two the bottom half of the image is rendered for the full picture to display. jpg under about 260 k size images do not have this problem, but I have more than 260 k up to currently 800 k size JPEG.

There are no tickers or other video, just the jpg file to fill the entire screen.

Research on the question I made changes to the DPM who do not help. Changed the mode of access for read write memory, enabled caching and changing the syslog setting mode.  While I believe it was to help solve the problems with the 4400g I thought I'd try wouldn't them hurt.

The playlist itself is 3 minutes in length with each slide showing 10 seconds, for a total of 18 slides. Total of 7.4Megs with a value of jpgs in the playlist.

Jpg files are 1366 * 768 is the resolution of the screens and 72pixels/inch.

If the jpg images files are to be smaller is there anywhere any documtation that indicates what size, if I can give to the people of design?

I have seen from indicating that flash files must be less than 500 k, but nothing on jpeg files.

Or is there another work around the rendering of images of slow?

Thank you

Mike

Hi Michael,

Are you by chance using progressive JPEG images? If this is the case, they are not officially supported on DMP 4305 such documented to:

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/video/digital_media_systems/5_x/5_2/DMD/user/guide/media.html#wp1182846

Try to convert the images to non-progressive JPEG and see if you see improvements.

Another thing that you can use to improve the loading time of image is to use the preload feature. You can create a presentation of DMD with within a playlist, and then you have the option to set a time to preload for your image, as mentioned in the:

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/video/digital_media_systems/5_x/5_2/DMD/user/guide/playlists.html#wp2150005

Hope this helps,

Marco

  • Premiere Pro 20141 made slower?

    Everyone is made slower with 20141?  My hardware (PC) used to render my sequences in real time, but now they take about 2 X in real time.  I have the same GPU NVIDIA I've had before, have updated the drivers and PP said he will use it, but I see no activity on it now.  It is difficult to compare because I can't go back until 2014.  I have the time even if I render to SOUL in line to wait or do totally in PP.  I'm tempted to go back to CC (pre-2014) and making comparisons, but have not yet done.

    Thanks for the thoughtful response.  I thought I had scored my issue 'resolved' little time after I posted it.  I don't think that there is a change now.  The monitor that I had used to display using GPU has stopped working (probably due to a change by NVIDIA) so it looked like the encoding was not witnessed.  Once I got a usable monitor, I have seen that uses the GPU in 20141.  In terms of time spent, I am still trying encoding real time with some settings, but when I encode to more outputs, there is less help.  Could have been true before.  Basically I'm happy now.

  • Jpg considerably slow down Performance on Mac

    I work with sequences that have jpg files in the new CS6 coming to a crawl when you work on them and making them.  I use a brand new 17 "Powerbook with the 2.5 i7 and 16 GB of memory.  The same sequences in CS 5.5 make lightning fast, and when I'm working on it there is no problem of speed or performance.

    When I work on the same sequences in CS6, my computer came to a crawl.  The rendering is incredibly slow.  If I am, I can literally not do something else - like visit web sites in Safari or send an e-mail.  I can do it, but it is incredibly slow.

    Here's the jpgs of reasonable size that has not caused any problems to 5.5.

    I tried to uninstall CS6 and resettlement and that did not help.

    I just changed the option of rendering and video playback to only the software and which really accelerated things on the same sequences, I had problems with that.  Can someone explain why it would make such a difference?  It has something to do with the Macbook Pro?

  • CPU, made slow load

    Hello!

    I have a project to make. When I starts making, Manager tasks and other similar software shows 28-32% of CPU load, memory usage 1, 8-2 GB (for 16 GB) of disk 0-3%, 0% load GPU load. Anyone has an idea how can I speed up rendering? How to load the CPU at 100%? Project is not dependent on, GPU load so GPU is normal at 0%, but I wonder why memory, disk and CPU use is so low?

    Not everything you do will be focused on the processor.  Loading of the processors will NOT AE make quick, which I suppose is the point of asking questions on this set.

  • Made slow when you are working on a large vector illustration

    I have trouble working on images from vector - panoramic, zoom, selection etc. everything is constantly trolling. I can't understand what is wrong. It occurs only if the image is too complicated (Yes, it contains several hundredths of anchor points).

    The computer has been used for CADing, but I now use it mainly for AI, PS, ID and 3D image making using Deep exploration/3D via composer (Deep exploration/3Dvia is not working properly because the lack of video memory). I tried to work with the same type of vector image using another computer (equipped with Nividia Geforce 9600 M 512 MB). Same result as the old computer, everything is trolling. Although when using Deep exploration/3Dvia, it works smoothly. I spread while the video card is the problem.

    In addition, neither computers operate on 100%. So I can exclude that the processor is not the issue either.

    Can someone tell me what the hell is wrong...?

    Yes, he treats it as a compound entity composed of line primitives so that I calculate transformations on a point by / by level of access road. All this side - your computers are pretty weak, both of them. Since the AI is CPU only, weak processors would have a huge impact negative performance and it is probably the case here. And they probably were not that great for CAD, either...

    I think you might have some misconceptions about the work of parallel processing how and what to KEEP. You can also consult the manual of Concepts on when things go in the PGA, and when they go into the CMS and find out how to see the use of the PGA. If you try to load the buffers of the SGA by making a parallel with full table scan, it won't, because this combination uses your PGA and multiblock reads to increase performance - negative in some cases, such as yours.

    All ideas, which will be noticed if disable us graphics hardware acceleration on our desktops? Slow Windows gui performance, made slow web site, slow video playback, etc...?

    Hi ulozas18,

    Graphics hardware acceleration sets a level of graphics hardware capability and performance for a device that runs a WPF application.

    It is used to accelerate the processing speed of codec video.

    If you disable hardware acceleration, it will strongly affect the graphics performance of your computer.

  • Printers Epson print very slowly in Windows 7

    Hello

    very very slow printing and print spooler

    All of a sudden, I'm practically impossible to print on one of my 2 printers epson (R260 and R1800).    By hitting print (or ctrl-p) in any application (Adobe CS4, or MS Office, Internet Explorer or Firefox), it takes between 2 and 5 minutes to the next printer dialog box upward and so much time to print striking impression.

    I removed the printer and re-installed new epson drivers, and I also did several selective startups and clean boots, none of these help.   The printer is connected directly to the computer via usb.  When all printers are removed and only MS xps document writer, and fax are listed, the dialog boxes find instantly, but as soon as I re - install any printer, it crashes.   I also re-installed Windows 7 (as an upgrade), and stopped and restarted print spooler, but that has not changed anything.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, it drives me crazy...

    Thank you

    André

    I have an Epson SX405 and it was made slower and slower since I was a Windows 7 laptop.

    Finally discovered (a trick on another help site) the AUD in C:\ProgramData\Epson\PRINTER file. The more it grows, it gets the slower.

    So just delete this file. The driver will create an another next after printing, but nice and small.

    After that, keep him from time to time, delete before it happens basically again.

    I hope this works for you...

  • Graphics in InDesign export to PDF pixelated

    I throw a piece of paper, containing a few announcements, stories and features. The ads and the following functions are linked INDD files and contain text and images related to PDF formats, HAVE and PSD.

    I recently acquired CS6. From this point, when I export the project in PDF, many of these linked graphics appear and print badly pixelated. Convert graphics EPS, however, solves the problem: the graphics look good in the PDF. While converting all the EPS graphics would solve the problem, it would be a lot of work that I would rather avoid, if possible.

    The question seems to be in my settings or a corrupted installation, because when I package for the project and send it to a friend, it can export to PDF format without any problem. I do not believe, however, that I changed all the default settings, and we use the same export presets.

    I export my PDF of such as 'Adobe PDF (Print),' using the preset 'press [quality]. I use Win 7 Home.

    Any ideas short of reinstalling? Thank you for advice or suggestions.

    A jpg made from a PDF file on my machine:

    pixelated.jpg

    The same image, packaged and sent to my friend, who exported them with the same settings. JPG did the same method as the previous one:

  • drawGraphicsData animation...

    Hi all

    So, it's out of my comfort zone, but I'm trying to come up with a proof of concept for the bottom. [traceImage] literally does what it says, however, I am trying to achieve a function which should facilitate tracing: that is to say: I want to animate this line: curves.graphics.drawGraphicsData (gd); or find a way to make the line look like, it animates around the bitmap tracing.

    I really have no idea where to start, but I'll be scouring the interwebz all day for a preview, so if someone has knowledge on how to create the illusion that the curves. is animation, I would be extremely grateful.

    THX in advance,

    ~ Chipleh

    function traceImage(bitmap:Bitmap):void

    {

    While (imageContainer.numChildren > 0) {}

    imageContainer.removeChildAt (0);

    }

    var bm:Bitmap = bitmap;

    BM.visible = showBitmap;

    imageContainer.addChild (WB);

    curved var: Sprite = new Sprite();

    imageContainer.addChild (curves);

    var gd:Vector. < IGraphicsData > = new Vector. < IGraphicsData > ();

    var strokeFill:GraphicsSolidFill = new GraphicsSolidFill (0 x 008800, 1);

    GD.push (new GraphicsStroke (1, false, LineScaleMode.NONE, CapsStyle.ROUND, JointStyle.ROUND, 3, strokeFill));

    GD.push (new GraphicsSolidFill (0xffffff, 0.75));

  • Confused about support of color in PNG format profile

    NOTE - you must hover over the image to see the real images.  The images embedded in the Web page have their stripped profiles - like the photoshop!  Interesting.

    I ask a similar question on this before, but could not give a satisfactory demonstration of how photoshop doesn't support color profiles in png.

    But now I have a great.

    Photo A: is with the correct color profile and displays correctly in firefox and probably other browsers - poster also correctly on the windows desktop and using large icons.png-color-profile-test.png

    OK, all of you who don't believe me, take this image and try to read it in photoshop...

    I do and don't get on any profile mismatch warning as I do on jpg or tiff:

    Photoshop strips the existing profile and adds sRGB, which is not the right profile.

    This is how photoshop transforms good colors bad:

    Photoshop not handling profile.png

    Completely messed.

    I've had several people notice how my images saved from photoshop png had 'off' or wrong colors - usually washed out in the profile of the monitor w / my comparison.

    I get 'ok' results if I flatten the image and * convert my existing profile to sRGB - and I usually get

    something that looks like 'acceptable '... If the jpg made in specific colors.

    Fundamentally, photoshop can not read or write png web images. and maintain the loyalty of the colors unless they have no profile.  Even if they have an sRGB profile, I usually get washed out looking for pictures if I don't strip it but let adobe convert it.

    Googling for my problem, I found references to this issue in Adobe Photoshop dates back to 2002.

    Why adobe won't solve this problem?  It's horrible.

    They could fix it with a file plugin for existing users of CS5 - 6, but there really need get fixed and Adobe should stop ignoring this problem.

    :-(  I find this depressing extra because I'd rather distribute my photos without loss in png, but with photoshop, I find myself with the jpegs with loss to get the accurate reproduction of colors.

    PNG-color-profile - test.png opens fine in Photoshop CS6, CS5, CS4, and CS3.

    And they record it with the profile and reopen correctly as well.

    The profile can be stripped, if you use a third-party PNG plugin, or if you have your color settings on ignore profiles of school boards.

  • Frames SWF and Flash Player

    Hello

    Could I have the definition of these notions?
    What is the relationship between them?
    In particular, I would like to know whether or not they are related between them during execution.

    Thanks in advance.
    See you soon.

    FR1, when fully charged, you should get the first enterFrame.  Because there is a stop() on FR1, you will get enterframes in the note image (unless a lot of code and made slow it down), and the currentFrame remain FR1.  Meanwhile, FR2 is downloading.  When it's over, unless there is some code that switches on FR2, you'll stay come enterframes the frameRate and currentFrame will remain FR1.

  • .. must completely remove the suite CS3?

    Vista 64-bit.

    Sorry, only about 800 GB SATA HARD drive, puppy... I have, I know.

    8 GB OF RAM.

    I just installed CS4, and the man he charge my quick projects. A previous 1 min. to open the project now opens in 5 sec Wow...

    All my projects were to be indexed / model before that I could work with them, not much.

    But my video projects are nervous and a little out of sync. I hope that will clear up once they are returned. "And that's where it's a big deal '. It will take hours for some to return. I did a search on "CS4 made slow and found "Some Suggestions" and"Sysinternals"about prejudice. I also saw the Bill "Pr Pro Benchmark".

    I'll try to do what I can. If you've seen one of my previous threads, you will see that I am not savvy in computer science.

    However, before you do anything, I want to know one thing. I have the suite CS3 full. I wanted to know if CS4 would allow me access to these items, such as dreamworks and others, "not that I can work with them' or do I have to remove/uninstall the suite CS3 completely? All I want to do right now is still allows you to add Menus, and I finished my main project. CS4 still included as you know.

    It's just a matter... for now.

    Thanks again

  • Title 1 project to another copy

    I'm working on a 70-minute school show at the present time. The children did a production of the wizard of Oz, and because the school was unable to choose between two Dorothea, there are two separate versions with a different lead interpreter.

    The children taking part ages range from 5 to 12 and because of their age, we made the decision to put all their names on the credits at the end. With stage crew, lighting, design, costume, actors etc, it of a huge clip and ends almost 120 seconds of time (we also deliberately made slow enough so the children could see their names). Securities held during the last song of the show which includes the set of actors and therefore needs a transparent background.

    Ideally, I wanted to create two versions of the titles, with the only change being the main actor. Due to various categories of performer/helper, the text is quite complex, and it is has a bit of text formatting to make, so I was hoping to avoid cutting / pasting. Stupidly, I assumed that I could create a title in a project and just use (with change it) in the other project, but it doesn't seem to be possible. Similarly, export a movie does not work, as the black background is not transparent in the film imported in the project 2.

    Any suggestions on how to work around this problem would be welcome.

    Thank you

    Colin
