• I moved CS4 Standard again win laptop 8.1. It does not recognize the serial number.

  This information is incorrect.  your serial number, if it worked on windows xp, will work in 8 victory.  You may need to use compatibility mode, but even that is unlikely.

  As Steve says, you must uninstall your existing discs, software and then download and install the version on the page above.  Note that this page is about everything in the CS2 package, so you need to scroll a bit to get to the hearing.

  A small number of people have problems with this system and the related FAQ Steve to the above includes instructions for some changes of registry fix that... but most people can just follow the Adobe pages.

  I don't know what else I can add.  The fundamental question - what to do when the serial number is correct, but the downloaded replacement does not have a serial number invalid.  It's urgent because I am editing a book for publication.
