It is possible that you have one of the bracketing options selected. Try changing the drive Mode Single Shot Adv. or another appropriate setting.

Hey Oscar! Your camera HI-A77 will require repairs. In the United States, we request a copy of the invoice as proof of purchase for warranty service. However, I can't confirm if this is the case for other countries or regions. If you are in the United States, you can configure the service and check the estimate of the repair on this link. You can get contact information for support from Sony on this link if you are located in another country or region.

  • Sony SLT - A58K continuous shooting Mode

I noticed that when taking pictures in continuous mode, the first Salvo fires quickly, but it seems to go more slowly to take the photo and the LCD screen or viewfinder (if you use it) shows the flashing of image and suggest you do not get anywhere near the 8 shots per second - also after a while it seems to pause before continuing

Here is a video showing it - could it be down to memory card or is it problem with camera

    Hi walkerx

I don't see the link of the video, but I'm guessing it's a problem of small buffer.

Here is a site that lists buffer tests:
    http://www.Imaging-Resource.com/prods/Sony-A58/Sony-a58A6.htm

It seems to me that the motorway a58 unfortunately just has a small buffer - that means, it grows quickly, but his memory will fill up very quickly and start to slow as he tries to face to save the photos on the memory card to clear its internal memory to take more pictures.

If you are not already using at least a class 10, try that, but honestly I don't think it will help with the burst mode, single shots (where images are saved faster to the map)

Looking at the tests from the link above, it seems that the a58 motorway has just a very small buffer - only designed to do a few quick bursts, not shooting continuously

    Thank you

HI - A58 supports the SDXC standard so there should be no limit in the range of reasonable ability. In theory, SDXC standard is up to 2 TB...

  • Sony A77 - ISO auto?

I just got my Sony SLT - A77, and I love it! However, there is a setting that confuses me, and it's auto ISO.

When I use mode has I prefer to use auto ISO but on this device, it doesn't seem to be possible to specify a maximum authorized shutter time?

It's really confusing for me, why even do you have auto ISO if you can't choose a maximum time of sutter? It is practically useless without it, and many cameras have this feature.

Is this something that could be fixed in a future update?

I hope that Sony will implement such a feature. As far as I know that Nikon offers this at present).
Please note that the A77 displays its ISO value currently selected when you press the shutter half.

  • PSE8 SLT - A33 CR6.2 Raw distorted on the load Images

We use PSE8 with Camera Raw 6.2 to edit the raw files from Sony SLT - A33. We took a few photos that have the Sun in them. When we consider the raw files in Camera Raw 6.2, the Sun is a red ball artificial light. And if there are people in the forground of the image, they are artificial blue color. If we open the Photo Organizer of 8 elements files or any other photo viewer that can display the raw image files seem normal.

Of course, it has something to do with Camera Raw 6.2. Someone else knows something similar, or have an idea of what may be the cause? At this point, we are afraid to try to edit raw photos in Camera Raw 6.2.

The red and blue that you see are probably due to clipping being lit indicators.  Red indicates clipping of culmination (one or more of the RGB channels are completely maxed out) and blue indicates the shadow clipping (one or more of the channels RGB is zeros).

You can enable and disable highlight clipping indicators by clicking the triangles on both ends of the histogram.  A white frame thin around the indicator means the warning will be persistent and you can disable it by clicking on it.  When the indicator is not persistent, you can get a temporary indication of clipping hovering over one of the triangles.

  • Why is my dark a77 picture on auto modes?

Is there anyone with problems in 3 modes auto producing dark pictures with their Sony SLT-a77V?

Please, try the troubleshooting steps in this link to see if this will solve the problem. Please note that the exposure compensation settings can be set that when you're in automatic program (P), priority shutter (S) or aperture priority (A).

Also try to change the modes of the camera flash. If you find the dark background when shooting with the flash, try adjusting the flash in slow sync mode. Again, this flash mode setting is available only in P, A, S and manual exposure (M) shooting modes.

  • Prices NP-FM50 NP-FM500H interchangeable?

I have an old battery NP-FM50 with my old Sony Mavica digital camera disc.  Can I use this battery in my new Sony SLT A-58?

Hi carterike! The NP-FM50, NP-FM500H are not identical when it comes to physical appearance. The main difference would be the Groove on the NP-FM500H which is not present on the FM50. This is the case, the NP-FM50 does not fit into the battery compartment of the SLT - A58 camera due to the indented inside. On the other hand, the NP-FM500H battery will go in because of the Groove corresponding to the protrusion.

  • a canon ef 50mm f3.5 lens kit enough for photo magazines and after effects slideshow?

I don't know if this is related to the legacy

I work with camcorders Professional before (sony hdr fx7 and hitachi sk,) in my previous company (video production company)

but for some reason, my current employer (company accountant company) now does not give me a project related to the images. I'm just the graphic animation of all time.

our company owns a sony slt a57 with 50mm f5.6 lens.

Personally, I have canon Rebel t1i with maximum 50mm f3.5 lens than I usually use for weddings and birthdays.

This is the goal of basic as well as the box.

do I need a really need an images bokeh in my slideshows? What is my 50mm f3.5 more than enough?

or should I buy a 50mm f1.8, 200mm f2.8 or what will be the best?

I'm shooting in a studio for a presentation of marriage and a guy said that a 50mm f3.5 will not a good image for slide show and it does not give me a good photographer?

The camera and lens have very little to do with how a photograph is good. I saw an amazing job for a smart phone. Most of my work is done with special lenses. 90% of my video is shot with Prime lenses. I recently shot a pilot for a television series and the camera had a zoom, but not fired one shot with a zoom, I've only used the zoom for framing. I hate zooms. I have a short zoom on my personal camera but only to convince them. When I shoot portraits that I use usually sets a goal and it is usually a 50 mm or 85 mm equivalent because I like to be close and personal with my subject.

Point of view is controlled by the position of the camera, depth of field of your subject, the focal length distance and openness. Control the quality of the glass the bokeh (quality of the output of the areas of intervention) and each objective has a different look. Reserved (e) has everything to do with the way the lens is made and you can not the same aspect of a lens digital SLR consumers that you can get with a Glass of Cooke, and a set of objectives Zeiss will give you a different look. Do you need special lenses to shoot for a slide show and make it beautiful? Not at all. You need the ability to find the light, ask and cope. That's all. Do you need a zoom? No, except if you can not control the position of the camera and you must change the framing (think sports or wedding photography where you can not go to your subject and take a bullet in the head). If you can make images like you with the train you have then it is pointless to spend more money on the train. If you want to change the appearance of the images you shoot then you should start to experiment with different objectives and not only the focal length.

  • Bridge cannot read the format from my new camera RAW

I just bought a new Sony SLT - A58 but bridge says that it cannot read the RAW format, so, I can't download my pictures.

I went online and found an Adobe Camera Raw 6.7.1 and DNG Converter 7.4 plugins that supposidely would solve the problem. Nothing helps. Still refuse to recognize the RAW format.

Desperate as it's my job to camera and and need it up and runing as soon as possible. I have had absolutely no problem with my older Sony A100.

What's weird is that... If I pass the photos in the converter, it shows me the .dng pictures version, so something is there. Why the bridge can not see my RAW photos? ... and also, leave tons of caches and weird icons in the file, a real mess.

I'm on Mac OS 10.6.8 platform (Snow Leopard) and using CS5... and Yes, all my programs and software are up-to-date.

    Thank you for your help...

    ... and happy new year

So if the RAW support is specific, why do a plugin for CS5 and for my camera?

Adobe has released versions of Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) immediately to ACR 1.0 (which was compatible with Photoshop 7). However, cameras supported varies according to the version of ACR and the version of the Adobe application.

    You must match:

    • your camera brand and model
    • the version of Camera Raw that takes in charge your camera brand and model
    • the specific version of Adobe software that supports the version of Camera Raw that you need.

In your case, the Sony SLT - A58 was first based ACR 7.4 - which is only supported in CS6 and later versions. CS5 is not compatible with ACR7.4.

Full list of supported devices is here

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

Applications of camera Raw compatible Adobe are listed here

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html

CS5 is certainly not an antique and the A58 Sony isn't a huge technology Hasselblad. I have friends who have a large Nikon and Sony A77 and Canon and import their FIRST in their Bridge CS5.

All that matters is that the specific camera corresponds with what version of ACR - and what applications are Adobe are compatible with this version of ACR.

Can't comment on great Nikon or Canon mentioned above without specific camera model numbers.

However, the Sony A77 is supported by ACR6.5 which is compatible with Bridge CS5 +. Easy to see why this combination works.

Similarly, your Sony A100 was first supported by ACR 3.5, which is compatible with Bridge CS2 +. Easy to see why it works.

Always read the tables linked above Adobe and cross with each other. That should clear up your confusion.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 any data 'Date Created'

I studied this background in Adobe and public forums without seeing a similar discussion. I have a folder of .mts clips shot in AVCHD on a Sony HXR-MC2000. I can import or drag-and - drop clips and they come into my seq very well - obviously a recent update, I have installed has tackled the problem of no audio import with the clip, thank you, Adobe!  But for the life of me, I can't have the "Date Created" coming with the clip info. I have this box checked in the Panel PP6, but not these data imports.

Any ideas?  I am running CS6 6.0.1 on an iMac running OS X 10.8.1 Mountain Lion

    Hi Miltko,

Using a Sony SLT A37, can't do PrP to include creation or modification dates in the data of the project file. That is why the yet more general shortcoming. I would like to hear from users of Nikon and Canon.

You can add these metadata in first Pro CC 2014.2 from now thanks to the display of the metadata > base. In the next release of Premiere Pro, metadata will be sortable in the project Panel (it's not currently). I tested it and it works fine.

I also tested Premiere Pro CS6 and "Date Modified" and "création Date" metadata are sortable in this version with some standard .mov files I have in hand right now.

If I understand correctly, all the metadata in the project Panel will be sorted in the next version. This is one of those unsung, updates that those of you on this post, will enjoy.

    Tip:

To ensure that the metadata you need are included in Premiere Pro, please follow the standard advice: copy your SD card set to HD from your computer, and then import the files using the media browser. This way your audio, timecode, dates of creation and modification dates will be imported.

If you have followed the standard procedures and you still do not see the metadata, file a report bug here: http://adobe.ly/ReportBug

Premiere Pro CS6 allows users the Date of creation and update metadata for sorting by date, if your device is supported for use with CS6.

    Thank you

  • Cannot open Canon Cr2 file in Photoshop CS6

I purscahed PShop CS6 Upgrade a few days there is a update for the full CS4 Extended (which has been updated CS5 last year).  I installed CS6 as an upgrade to the CS5 installed and registered.

Bridge CS6 or Photoshop CS6 read Canon Cr2 raw files, and start "On Photoshop" display my purchased CS6 is a beta version.

What has gone wrong?  Should I uninstall CS5 and CS6, reinstall CS4 and apply the CS6 on CS4 upgrade?

    Thank you

When you get beta CS6 cleaned from your system:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/4361731#4361731#4361731

or by the sound of things, you need to use

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

Use the vacuum cleaner and choose CS6 in the list

But when it's settled and CS6 (non-beta) is installed, you may need ACR 7.1 update if you have a recent Canon camera
