  Every time that the computer shuts down, the same updates keep installation again and again.  They also create a new folder on drive C named as numbers only with the 2 files in each directory.  These are difficult to remove.  Previous updates of the same number succeeded.  It is a bit of a pain!

• ColdFusion 10 Update 4 Installation incomplete?

  I'm testing the 4 update on my local development machine (Windows 7 Pro 64-bit).  I downloaded and installed the update.  It never restarts ColdFusion when it's done.  He says he will, and check in a few minutes, but even after half an hour, it didn't.  So I manually restarted the ColdFusion service.  When I log back in CF administrator, it shows that the update 4 is still available to install (and the orange Star turns at the top of the screen).  If I go to the system information page, it lists the level of update:

  /C:/ColdFusion10/cfusion/lib/updates/chf10000004.jar

  and the version at: 10,0,2,283281

  I ran the tool, WSConfig to remove and replace the IIS connectors.  Is there anything else I should do?

  UPDATE: I ran the updater a second time, once again had to manually restart ColdFusion after waiting 30 minutes so that it restarts itself, and yet the CF Administrator reports that the update is available for installation.

  Ok.  After a few attempts over and looking at the logs for the installation of the patch, I decided to add the account domain user that ColdFusion is running under the local Administrators group.  Running the installation again, and everything worked fine.

  I do not think that I came across this with previous updates, and the account ColdFusion has never been in the Administrators group, so I don't know what has changed with the Updater 4.  But at least it works.

  But it is troubling from a security point of view - I don't want my service account for ColdFusion to have administrator permissions on my local machine (or on my production server, which uses the same domain user account).

  In my history of update, this update shows as installation again and again "with success" since August, but he is still listed as an update to install.  This also applies to Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (kb948465), who has reportedly updated several times and still is listed as an update.

  Some info: I'm currently using Norton 360 - like Firewall and antivirus.  I also run Spyware Doc.  I was attacked last year, computer failed and I had to wipe my computer. (Assistance with this manufacturer.)  I'm not sure it solved the problem.  Since then, I have had problems with the computer running the browser to leave/run slowly, slowly, the problems to open programs.  This may be due to the loop of 'Windows update '?

  All the updates of Windows Defender will have the same number (KB915597).

• Windows Update fails repeatedly to install updates KB3079904 and six other people, keep trying for 3 weeks now

  Drop support for Windows Vista is apparently present but perhaps without notice.

  Three weeks since July 14, 2015 Windows Update has repeatedly tried and failed to install seven updates. Three other updates cannot be installed while in time (KB3072633, KB3057154, KB3065979) but was finally installing manually through Microsoft Download Center.  Further attempts by MDC didn't settle because "the update does not apply to your system" (KB3070102, KB3067903).  KB3072630 update did not show an available option of Windows Vista.  The remaining updates would download a version of Vista but just have not installed (KB3070102, KB3079904, KB309392, KB3067505 and KB3065822, which is a Cumulative of IE9 for Windows Vista update).

  With no fix that works my PC will apparently try to download these and other updates in perpetuity.  Some files, such as KB915597, is constantly to be installed and reinstalled successfully during this time.

  I tried to upgrade Vista on TOSHIBA to my mother, it runs cpu to slow to 46%, I'm sure I need of more memory, my concern is that I just tried to upgrade on my HP17 for the new completely WIN10 have not upgraded, but froze on a continuous flashing, cannot access via ctrl alt esc file insight and nothing moves percentages are 0 nothing downloaded? or downloaded?
