KB959426

Cannot install the update of security KB959426, all others are fine.

Hi Ollie54,

Thanks for posting answers.microsoft.com

Can you give us please review of Vista that is running on your system?

Click Start and in the search for the nature line WINVERS and press ENTER.  Please list the OS platform and the revision and the Service Pack, it is running.

In addition, it stops with error code 80071AA7 - are there any verbiage more that you can get what goes with this error?  Any file or dll specific it points toward?

I know from the information, provided that you reset the Windows Update, but, let's run CheckSUR and see if we can get the update to run again.

Here is a link to CHECKSUR

My ericsson F3507g GPS can't find any satellites... I tried everything (land bridge, Garmin Nav & Go,...) as user in other post, but it still does not work...

    Any ideas?

BTW: I thought about GPS antenna malfunction...?

Can you confirm that you are able to get NMEA data flowing? And that you get all the data by satellite?

Also, it would be intresting to know if you can get out the signal 3G max indicator? That is, are you able to get 5 bars indicating maximum intensity of the 3G signal? To achieve this, you might need to move a little, preferably outdoors and also near the station a basis as possible. If you get 5 bars of GPRS or EDGE (2 G GSM) cover is not interesting, only UMTS or HSPA (3G) is interesting.

Update security for Windows Vista (KB960803)

    Operating system: Windows Vista

Thank you guys for all the help. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to properly solve the problem by using the methods described above.

Finally, I had to reinstall the software to factory settings using a rescue disk, that I created when I bought the laptop and now its all good.

I have a general question... whenever I did reinstalling, I received around 71 updates, some dating from 2007 and 2008, are all those that are necessary? some of them didn't or they came as not neeeded after failing to install.

its just in general, I have no problem however.

    Thank you guys!

I tried a system restore and nothing - I received a message saying restore failed.

    Hi sherylls

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem.

Question: The Windows update install you installed, what was the installer of Windows or the Windows Installer Cleanup utility?
If it wasn't the cleanup utility, please get it from the link below and see if that fixes the problem.

If this does not resolve the problem or if this is what you have already tried, please see the link below on the manual removal of Office 2007 (my apologies, I am assuming you are using Office 2007)

  • Computer updates Cause either BSOD start or reboot continuously

    Hello

My problem occurs when I try to update my computer by using Windows Update.  The updates will download and install problem, but when I restart the computer as needed, things start to go wrong.  The first time I tried to update my computer, the computer would crash to the BSOD everytime I tried to start it.  It would break just before the Vista orb appears when starting upwards.  I used the installation disk to use system restore to restore the computer to the State it was in before the update.  I've tried so far my computer again.  The installation went well, but when I restarted my computer, the computer would have reached the stage of "Configuring Updates" - step 3 of 3 where it might go from 0% to 97% then restart itself and repeat the process.  I used the same method as before you restore the computer to its original state, but this time I came with several errors.

First of all, two programs recently no longer work, I installed.  All their files are there, except the .exe files.

Secondly, the network in the system tray icon has a red "X" next to it, and it gives the error "the dependency service or group could start."  However, I can always connect to my network, I am sure that what is actually wrong with it.

Third, I get two errors when I start my computer.  These errors come Windows Defender and the other two come from Windows Problem Reports and Solutions.  Whenever I try to run a program I get an error: "0xc0000022: this program does not initialize."  Also, whenever I click the games button in the start menu, the Explorer window will open briefly, and then close without taking me in the Games folder.

There are 20 update, I installed at the time which could have caused this.  They are:

    KB963017

    KB951847 x 64

    KB948881

    KB952004

    KB956572

    KB958690

    KB959426

    KB960225

    KB960803

    KB960715

    KB890830

    KB960544

    KB905866

    KB915597

    KB955706

    KB967912

    KB960353

    KB960003

    KB959997

    KB962871

I think it's all of them.  I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 x 64.

So my 3 main questions are:

What updates are the cause of the problem?

How can I solve the problem of update?

How can I correct the mistakes of program described above?

    Thank you

    Hi someone77,

Thank you for using the Vista Forums.

I think you should seriously consider upgrading on-site. Your personal files should remain intact.

Here's a great post from Marilyn that explains how do.

    Dave UK

    Hi David,

1 have you made changes to your computer recently?

    2. you receive an error message or error code?

I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

Method 1: Perform a clean boot, and then check if it helps.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Note: Make sure you perform the steps in How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state to start your computer normally.

Method 2: Follow the link and run Microsoft Fix - it, and then check if it helps.

Diagnose and automatically fix common problems with Windows Update

Method 3: Reset Windows update components, and then check if it helps.

How to reset the Windows Update components?

To do: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

  • Windows Update does not install the updates from 14/04/2009. Error code 80070002.

I'm running 32-bit Windows Vista Home Premium on a Dell Dimension E520 PC desktop with processor Pentium dual core and 3 GB of RAM.
Reasonably up-to-date hardware. Well protected and all software security entirely to so far.
My problem that goes from Windows Update is not install updates from 14/04/2009 and returns the error Code 80070002.
I followed the advice and went in the Windows Software Distribution folder and remove all the contents of the data store and records downloads and tried again about thirty times now.
I get regarding the acceptance of the license agreement and clicking on, ok, when Vista dims the screen and asks if I started it and then the error message in Windows Update, saying: "some updates were not installed."
Is not a computer expert, I guess that what is described in help Windows Update error Code 80070002 is the same as 0 x 80070002 for which I found advice on a Microsoft page to save these commands
    net stop wuauserv
    CD %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution
    Ren Download.old download
    net start wuauserv
as a windows batch file and run as administrator.
I now have a download folder and Download.old folder. Fascinating but no help at all!
I infer that the numbers of 0x0 are my six error codes failed attempts to install Vista Service Pack 1, a few months ago who always ended up with an unusable computer suspended with a black screen and the white writing showing 46 thousand of 96 thousand file and something, followed by a number of 0x0.
The only way I could get of these attempts was by booting from the Installation of Vista disk, masking the Service Pack 1 update and using the system restore, but that's another story.
Have an impact on my current problem, I wonder?
For absolute clarity are the updates that won't install:
Explores update for Internet Explore 7 edition (KB963027) 14/04/2009 (Just editing that.) Typed a wrong number in a first time. Sorry).
Four updates of security for Windows Vista (KB952004) (KB956572) (KB959426) (KB960803)
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - April (KB890830). (I downloaded it manually and run it from my office and we found no problem).
Update of security for Microsoft Office System 2007 (KB960003)
Update of security for Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (KB959997).
I'm at a loss what to try next.
FYI, I use Uni-bleu Power Suite 2009, McAfee Total Protection and Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition with Ad-Watch Live on.
I tried to do everything that it with Ad-Aware died, but my hunch is that the problem is in Vista ot the updates themselves.
I'm quite competent with guests of orders, not to mention manually editing the registry!
However, any help would be received with gratitude and I guess that if the instructions are evidence of fool I have very carefully follow step by step.

I have the same symptoms: from a distinct point in time updates of windows works more and every time returned the error code 80070002.
After a few hours, I found the solution: sfc/scannow reported the wuauclt.exe file.
And the reason was: McAfee virusscan put this file in quarantine. He is falsely W32/Generic.worm.aa in there.
Restore this file from the GUI of McAfee completely solved this problem.
