Ke1 host configuration screens

Not knowing what I was doing when I got my K1 I put some apps on one of the 5 home screens. Now I can't figure how to get rid of them.

You can press on and hold the icon until the garbage bin icon at the top right of the screen. Click on the trash can icon to delete the icon your currently pressing.

  • Security and dell updates Computer Configuration screen new

    Hello

A new computer, arriving today, will be a year 1 subscription of McAfee internet security. I prefer not to activate, but rather to install and use one of my 3 licenses for Norton Internet Security 2013.

The new Configuration screens computer Dell have one called 'security and dell updates' which saves both Dell and the McAfee subscription updates. No other choice except all cannot be ignored.

If I skip this step, (1) this will prevent activation of McAfee (if not turned on, then maybe I can leave it on the computer should I want to later uninstall Norton and use McAfee, if possible)? and (2) separately, manually register updates Dell so I don't lose this Dell Update functionality?

  • Cannot run Virtual ESX host configured in my Asus u56e laptop machine. Says Intel Vtx unsupported...

    Friends,

I can't run Virtual ESX host configured in my Asus u56e laptop machine. Explains Intel Vtx unsupported.

I checked to find that my machine has Intel VT turned on in the Bios.

Please notify. I tried to use VMware-guest64check - 5.5.0 - 18463 tool and it said that my machine can support 64 bit OS. Fixing of newspapers.

In my computer, open your VM ESXi and go to VM-> settings.  Under processors, check the box next to 'Virtualiser Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/IVR.'

  • Backup of ESXi host configurations

When you use the host profiles, what is the best way to save specific ESXi hosts?  Your host profile standardizes the host configuration, but if you need to restore your ESXi host for a reason, even after the application of the host profile must be configured to the specific IP, hostname, etc of the host.

Assume that you have an installation of VMware enterprise with 50 + guests.  Is there a good way to automate the backup and restoration of specific configurations of different ESXi hosts?  RCLI scripts? VMware Assistant management scripts? Some 3rd party management software tools?  Your ideas / popular experiences. (In this environment Auto-déployer has been dismissed as a management option)

    Thank you

Yep, answer files are a feature of the host profile and do not depend on deploy Auto.

Automatic deployment takes just left this feature also.

  • Host Configuration frontend

I read the article about the magic of Middleware on the front end host configuration, but when I hit the URL and observe through httpWatch shows always the appserver/port as 'host '.   Doesn't seem to matter what I put in there, it always returns the same thing in host headers.  Issues related to the:

    (1) is there another tool that shows the host headers and the news coming out of the application?

    2) what format must I be filled in this setting?   It must have the full URL in it (like http://sitportal1:7070/fc/Controller.jpf) or a hostname (like sitportal1).  Aid seems to illustrate the format which must be entered as.  I tried pointing to the front-end web server as well (sitweb2.company.com) but does not seem to send anything like the header, but the name and port of the WebLogic app. Server

    (3) the application is deployed in a cluster and I made the changes there as well, with the same results.   Yes, managed servers have been restarted.

I got points, who wants them?

When you configure the parameter FrontendHost, the host of the request header is ignored, and the value of FrontendHost is used in the location header of the response (to be rather than host a header value sent by the client). This can be tested with HttpWatch, just fill in different values and see what is returned in the Location header (also try with the FrontendHost parameter not set no, in this case, the Location header must resume the host header value).

"I understand that well? Yes, only FrontendHost it not really used for masking, but more to prevent redirect attacks against third parties.

  • After a power cut my PC is in a loop in the start windows normally, safe mode, last known good configuration screen

After a power failure when I start my PC, it gets to the screen... "We apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully... When I try to reboot in one of the 5 modes to start normally, safe mode, safe mode with command prompt SafeMode with network, last known Noah correct configuration of their work and the loops of the computer to this sreen repeatedly.

KB307545 is a very bad idea to begin with - especially after a power failure (and it's usually just a very bad idea).  You don't describe symptoms suggestive of a need to run the KB307545, but, I'm not a Microsoft Support engineer so don't hesitate if you are forced to do, and I wish you good luck.

What you need to do, is start in the XP Recovery Console and run chkdsk/r first.  Is is possible that the blackout damaged your NTFS file system and a chkdsk/r is to clean it.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu you want to see, he has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start tapping the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restart on system failure, and then select.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

If your system has a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), we need to know what the screen says:

Here's a BSOD example showing information you provide:

    http://TechRepublic.com.com/i/tr/downloads/images/bsod_a.jpg

Send for the nose and the Red arrows (3 to 4 lines total).

Send all * line STOP message since there are clues in the 4 parameters.

If it looks like there is some kind of name listed in the STOP message file, send this line also.

Ignore the boring text unless it seems important to you.  We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know what your BSOD looks like.

Answering queries and results report of the disable automatic restart on system failure screen and you can decide what to do next.

See what the BSOD said would be interesting, but I would still recommend that you run chkdsk /r from the XP Recovery Console to make sure your file system is not damaged.

Answer the questions and we can see what to do next.

  • WRt160N is unable to access the configuration screen after the demotion to a lower version

I just bought WRT160-V2 two weeks ago. The connection kept down all the minutes. After reading some threads in this forum, discovered that I was not alone. A thread under the instructions of a http://audipages.com/router/ site. So I upgraded my router for firmware v2.0.0.02 build 008. The connection is much more flexible. However, Setup screem has not come back. Now, I am not able to access the configuration with 10.10.10.1 screen. Help, please. Thanks in advance!

After an update of the firmware, you must reset the default router, and then configure the router again from scratch.  If you have not done this since your last update of the firmware, please do it now and see if it solves your problem.  If you have saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.

To reset your router prress the reset button for 30 seconds... Release the reset button... Unplug the power cable from your router, wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cable... Now re - configure your router...

  • The profiles breaks iSCSI host configuration

I determined that host profiles do not support configuring vSS correctly to for iSCSI jumbo frame support.

How the host profiles work when applied is that they will seduce all of the existing switches and then re - set their place, problem with the way in which it does this is that it supports all the features required. I.e. Jumbo frames.

I can get my understanding confirmed (host profiles are not fully cooked) and ask the next question.

Is it possible to tell a host profile to ignore elements like a vSS configuration? My review, it appears that once the host profile was created from a host of sample you can not say NOT to implement parts of it.

Fix - now host profiles are not fully cooked.

  • Errors in the HA agent on the Host Configuration

    Hello!

I have a problem with vmware HA.

    I have 2 (ESX 4.0.0) cluster hosts and a Vcenter server 4.0

I game enable HA in the cluster, but my guests cannot configure agent HA.

It gives this error: unable to complete the configuration of the HA agent on the host. See the details of the task for more information. Another HA configuration error.

In the details of the task for this task: cmd addnode failed for the secondary node: internal error of the MAO - cold agent will not start. : unknown error HA

How can I solve this problem?

    Thank you!

The most common problem is a bad DNS resolution.

Don't forget that your hosts are registered with a domain name FULL in vCenter, and then test each ESX and vCenter (for the ENTIRE domain name) DNS resolution.

Also make sure that each host and vCenter have the FQDN defined as the host name.
