Key Windows Win7 on my Satellite L500 is not readable

Hello

the first excuse my bad English, please. :)

I bought my L500-208 years ago with Windows7 64 bit.
My activation key is more completely on the bottom, but its not really readable. I've always had the Bill includes Bill of the license key (Windows7 64 bit).
How can I get my activatino return key. Is it possible to get it?

Thank you for your helpp

Greetings
Dave

Hi Dave,.

You should know that the OEM key that you will find at the bottom of the unit belongs to the Toshiba Windows preinstalled system. This key cannot be used with a clean Microsoft Windows and my experience system even if this key is readable, it would not work for the activation of the system.

The system which is already preinstalled Toshiba (or a part of the recovery image) is already activated. If you only use the Toshiba Recovery disk to reinstall the system.
In case you want to install the system using the Microsoft disc, you must use the key provided with this disc

    Hello

    Hmmm strange
First of all make an update of the BIOS, that this should be done if a newer version is available and you have any questions.

You said you did a update check WLan if you used the latest version of the driver
Here you will find the latest WLan driver versions:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

You can also check WLan card settings in Device Manager-> properties-> advanced settings WLan card.
The same WLan channel must be used for the local network and router WLan card.
Check if the MAC address filtering is not enabled in the settings of the router.

    Hello

Last night, he went into a temporary profile and he got a message saying "another profile cannot load at this time please try again later".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Kara

The error message is not known to me and also looking in google didn t get advice.
Maybe your Windows operating system is confusing upward.

Have you tried to boot Win 7 in safe mode?
Try this. Restart your laptop, press the F8 key.
In advanced startup options, select the option called Mode without failure.

If the laptop does not start Safe Mode, try the last good known Configuration option.

If this n t help, try to fix my computer. Here, you can choose between different settings.
Who could solve that problem is HARD drive recovery that helps you define the notebook to factory settings. But it also means that your disk should be formatted!

    So be aware of this!

Can someone tell how to fix this?

    Hello

I have the Satellite L500 also but I couldn't t notice this problem. SRS audio device that has something to do with the audio driver, I think.

What do you think to update this driver? You can get it here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

Before installing the latest version I recommend you remove the old first. Do a restart and install the most recent.

  • Satellite L500 is not enabled switching

    Hi all

I'm new to this forum. I got a Toshiba Satellite L500 attempt to fix and the fault is that the laptop has been stopped normally and now will not light.

I checked the power adapter that is giving 19.25v. I have stripped the laptop down to the motherboard and checked where the DC plug is soldered to the motherboard and who also reads the 19.25v with the adapter plugged. Can someone suggest a possible cause.

First impressions are a failure of the motherboard, but other ideas are welcome.

    Gary

Your description is OK, but we still Don t know some facts.

When the laptop is connected to power supply is power laptop LED works or not?
    Battery is RUN on (load)?

This way virtual, we can only speculate what may be the problem, but if there is no power there problem with electronic control gear and, I fear, you need professional help with this m.

  • Satellite L500 do not charge the battery

    Hello

First of all, I want to say sorry for my English, and I hope that you will understand me.

    Any ideas?

My laptop is Satellite L500 (PSLJ3E).

    Hello

Maybe the fault of the battery.
    Have you tried new battery?

Without checking this, it of really difficult to tell if your battery or any other part may be defective.

  • Satellite L500 - battery not charging

I have a Satellite L500-13W. This was bought to the Portugal, it is not listed on the website of the United Kingdom.

I have a problem with the battery. It will not charge although it will run when plugged in. I read on another blog that an update of the BIOS cured the problem on another model. I found an update on the Portuguese site, but I do not understand the language, especially when it comes to my laptop.

I was wondering if anyone was aware of this problem and the cure and also suggest how I would go about updating the correct BIOS

    Hello

First of all, you can download all the drivers on the European driver of Toshiba download page where everything is written in English:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

Here you can also search for your model, as far as I know Satellite L500-13W belongs to the PSLJ3E.

More info on BIOS update: this update is a bit complicated because it could destroy your ROM module so before making the update, close all programs running also your antivirus and firewall, disconnect Internet and make sure that you are logged on as administrator. Do not stop the laptop during this procedure.

If the BIOS update work doesn t it seems to be a malfunction of the equipment. Maybe your battery needs to be replaced

  • Find product key Windows 8 on a computer that does not start

I bought a laptop Lenovo, a little over a year and all of a sudden, he started a loop when I try to turn it on. The computer seems to want to start with the Lenovo logo and then I get a blue screen with an irritating "your PC has encountered a problem and needs to restart." We are only collecting the error information and then we'll restart for you. : ("message and then the computer restarts and does it again and again and and more.")

I brought my friend who is a technician and he said that I need the product key Windows 8 to create the Recovery Disk/USB. So I checked the area in which my laptop has been delivered to and there is no product key is located. Is it possible to find even if my computer does not start? I can access the configuration screen, but I can't find anywhere here either.

Any help with this would be really appreciated.

    Thank you

With Windows 8, Microsoft changed stickers that have the product key that the user must type in during the installation of the operating system of new embedded BIOS product key. The idea is that by eliminating the tile, you eliminate one of the easiest ways for nefarious users get a legitimate product key. The sticker also eliminating product key removes any concern that the vignette could get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating the process of typing in various letters and numbers in the installation of the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a computer with Windows 8, the installation process automatically captures key software product of the motherboard BIOS without input from the user. This means that these stickers familiar windows product key will no longer appear on Windows 8 computers.

You must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 8, if its not functional, you should ask a Lenovo recovery media:

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-4HWSE3

Computers laptops Lenovo include a function called the Lenovo OneKey Recovery button, which is used to boot into the recovery environment and to reinstall Windows.

If this does not work, contact technical support

  • Satellite L500 will not start

So today, I decided to restart my computer because it was a little slow.

Now, the computer laptop everything wont start even upward. In the picture that is happening, then it brings me to the boot menu.
I try every option to boot, but it brings me right back to the start menu.

When I try to recover the system, the screen goes black after it says "Windows is loading files".
I did not do anything for her in the last 24 hours.

What it looks like when I boot.
    http://i.imgur.com/7bHA0h3.jpg

Pictured his visible that the laptop is trying to boot from the HARD drive. But obviously this procedure fails.
So I guess the HARD internal disk does not work correctly
Probably previous slowdowns related to HARD disk problems.

Try to start with a Linux Live CD or another disk (WinPE) bootable system
This Live CD don't install anything on the HARD drive and generally even if the HARD drive is faulty, the laptop could be started.

Finally, I think that you will need to replace the HARD drive in order to reinstall the system.

  • Satellite L500 - can not find the drivers for the keys FN for Windows XP!

    Hello.

I found and installed all the drivers I need for this laptop using Windows XP. My problem is that I can only activate wireless on this laptop in pushin' FN + F8 key, I installed the Realtek Wireless drivers and they are installed correctly, but I can't get wireless to work because of the FN keys. When I press the FN + F8 key, a blue led should light up next to the volume control, but it is not...

I searched the Hotkey Utility on Toshiba India site, I downloaded and tried, but I get the error 'this utility program does not support this system', the common Modules gives me the same error too.

I tried to install the other Hotkey Utility driver for another laptop and it does not give me this error, but it does not work either... I actually let my laptop freeze a second, every 5 seconds... and the FN keys still don't work.

Anyone know where I can find a Hotkey Utility work for my laptop XP?

Or maybe is there a way to activate wireless without the FN keys? I don't need the other keys... I want just a way to activate wireless.

    Thanks for your time

Have you tried to activate the + WLan-WLan card-> properties > Device Manager in-> Advanced + tab?

There are a few options that control the WLan card and perhaps possible to activate the Wlan it.

  • Question about product key Windows XP Pro on Satellite A135-S4427

I have an A135-S4427 which came with Windows Vista.
As I did not like the vista I formatted and installed Windows Xp Professional with SP2 and got all the drivers working.
All I need now is a product key for activation of windows. I tried to use the key which is at the bottom of my laptop... but did not work.

    Any help please?
I appreciate any help on this...

    Thank you

    HI penny,

The product key on the bottom of your laptop is specific to the OEM of VISTA that came bundled with your noteook version. If you have installed a different operating system, then you must use the product key provided with the operating system that you have installed. It will be normally provided in the CD itself or on the packaging.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite L500 will not start - Windows issue?

My nephew is the owner of this laptop 1 year old and asked me for help yesterday.
There's an eggtimer permanent on the mouse cursor and clicking on trackpad or any key does nothing.

I ctrl, alt, del to open, and then select the Task Manager, but then the thing freezes. place then the only solution.
I could not access my computer or start / programs, etc. by clicking on anything does nothing.

I started in safe mode with network and updated & ran several programs - super antispyware, spybot, ccleaner & anti malwarebytes. the latter find stuff but unimportant or whatever it is was reported by none.

It has none of the recovery disks because none was provided. He never made the recovery discs as advised when it is new, so I tried to make a series of discs, but it was impossible to read some files and I had to abort the operation.
I have downloaded and run mechanic system but this found no real problems.

When I try to open my computer, the answer is a long time to come and opens a page of help windows in m/s only. He advises the system restore but there ar no restore points available.

When I tried to launch avg he behaved "very odd" to say the least. I uninstalled that too.

I uninstalled several toolbars and games stuff that my nephew had but for all my efforts, above the situation remains the same. I'm trying to do a windows repair disk and will try that to see if it helps.

I put the disc and restarted with poor results. He asked me to reinstall windows, and I agreed. I then, a long time later had a message saying that the computer has an error unexpectedly., restart to complete the installation.
When I click ok to restart, the message is repeated. I retried several times - same result.

I tried turning on off and powered by pressing f1 through f12 in turn. no difference.
I think I need a new disk (64) of windows 7 or a recovery dvd set of toshiba.

Any thoughts on recovering from a bad situation would be welcome.

    > I think I need a new disk (64) of windows 7 or a recovery dvd set of toshiba.
    > Any thoughts on recovering from a bad situation would be welcome.

Yes, I agree with you at this stage that I would also try to reinstall a new Windows system or Toshiba Recovery disk image
Usually the new OS install helps determine what s wrong here, from my point of view, it looks like the BONE was confusing to and installation of the operating system might solve this problem.

But as you know, it's just a theory. I think that if would not help you with new installation OS (recovery), the next should be a RAM and HARD drive test

    What do you think?
