Keyboard characters

Hello

I have an Acer computer brand new, bought two months ago. From the beginning, every now and then, the keyboard is upward, producing strange foreign characters when you press about to mark or quote key, etc.. It is only periodically, but makes me crazy.

In troubleshooting, after a system crash, two days ago, system health report indicates problems of configuration of driver for the keyboard and mouse. I had initially used the mouse and keyboard from my old XP system because I preferred the crappy Acer that came with my new computer. When I saw the pilot's error messages, however, I opted for the keyboard and mouse Acer. I tried disabling and uninstalling the previous mouse and keyboard drivers and updated the drivers for the keyboard and mouse Acer. I don't think that this had, however, because I always get strange foreign characters, and the health system report always brings the same mouse and keyboard error. I updated the drivers several times.

I wonder if the problem with the mouse refers to the hanging and crashing the problem to which I was confronted, as this is the only error produced by the system health report. When the system crashes, hard drive barattes like crazy in the background, I see the blue icon of waiting and I can never come back to focus again on the mouse, forcing a difficult start, then the difficulty to return to Windows. I suspect that this issue is linked to the search background indexing, but I wonder if the problem of mouse driver part. Even more strange, that what is happening in some programs and others not! For example, here and in Outlook, I get strange characters. In Word, the keyboard works fine.

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Answers.
Do you have confirmed that your language settings have not changed since your keyboard?
Click Start
Click on Control Panel
Click on clock, language and region
Click on change keyboards or other input methods
Click on change keyboard
Under default input language, is the language English (United States) - U.S.
Under installed Services, listed English is the 1st?  If this isn't the case, move it to the top of the list.

If this does not resolve your problem, you may consider to scan your computer against viruses and malware.

    Just got a new HP turn 810 G1 tablet / laptop (12 GB memory 256 GB SDD). Otherwise, things are smooth, but it is extremely annoying problem of keyboard abandonment / jump / lose some of the characters when entering. It is not random, specific keys or combos.     Nothing doesn't I could do thorough tests (including memory) HW run, tests the user added 8 GB SODIMM removed, SIM card removed, removed battery (switch required), full restoration of BONE made a couple of times (END / ENG locations), HP Support Assistant Windows Update patches applied, another keyboard + touchpad drivers of the repository product drivers downloaded and installed, the settings keyboard and touch twisted and applied a pious hope of heap.

    Called HP and at least one portable old of the week will now be replaced by a new. A few more lost days, I hope it'll work at least!

    Thanks for your suggestions which were quite reasonable, but the only way I got American English keyboard to work was to go in and manually remap keys (i.e. at what they were supposed to be) who have been either produce the wrong character or were not working.  Specifically, 'y' produced 'q' and 'q' was dead.  So somehow the mapping of default keyboard got screwed up and I know have a United States - based U.S. English client and it works properly.

    I've been using SQL Developer for 5 or 6 months, with minor problems and great satisfaction.

    A few days earlier, just out of the blue, in the middle of the day, developer started SQL only accepts only not the following characters:

    CTRL-v, Ctrl + c, F5, F9 (I think that all the function keys), BACKSPACE, delete, arrows and Enter. + *

    If the computer will beep while you type, key levers or sticky keys are active. The ToggleKeys can emit a beep when you press the lock keys. The function StickyKeys can emit a beep when you press the CTRL, Alt, shift, and locking. Use the following steps to disable the ToggleKeys:

    1. click on Start, and then type ease in the search field.
    2. Select from the list the easy access programs.
    3. scroll and select make the keyboard easier to use.
    4. If selected, remove the selection to turn on sticky keys.
    5. click on Configure keys to sticky.
    6 remove the selection to activate StickyKeys by pressing SHIFT five times.
    7. click on Save.
    8 remove the selection to activate the ToggleKeys.
    9. If selected, remove the selection to activate the ToggleKeys in now key Numlock for 5 seconds.
    10. click on Save.

    Check if it works.

    For the keyboard typing slowing down everything by typing you need reduce the time between the characters pressed.
