Keyboard stopped working on my Satellite Pro C660 2JD
Hello world
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-2JD.
The keyboard has stopped working, it only works when the keyboard screen is selected as soon as I close the screen keyboard that it stops working. I plugged another keyboard that doesn't work or only works of the mouse and the keyboard on the laptop works ok. I used the Ubuntu live CD, and the keyboard works with it, but not in windows.
I have restored the laptop to factory settings and also make a clean installation still does not work only when the screen on the keyboard keyboard works. Does anyone have any ideas of what is the problem? It seems that something prevents the loading keyboard driver.

Start your laptop and enter the BIOS settings. Keyboard works in BIOS mode?
Have you tested using \Windows in "safe mode" (F8)?
Please test and send feedback.

Need cable to screen for my Satellite Pro C660 2JD
I tried to find a Satellite Pro C660-2JD display cable for several months now with absolutely no luck at all... I even tried to display the C660 series cables and none of them seem to match, there seems to be it's own cable.
Anyone know where I can find the display for this model of laptop cable? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
It is quite difficult to find these parts. When I need something I look for on eBay. With a bit of luck, you will find many parts for models of different laptops.
Have you tried to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask if they can get this cable for you?

CD stops working on my Satellite Pro 4200
Hello!
I have an old 4200 satellite. After years and years of obediently obeying all my requests my mes CD-ROM CD stop working yesterday. I tried to take a look if I can replace it all by myself, but I did not even manage to get the CD broken out of the laptop.
Anyone have an idea how I can get the drive of the laptop? Thanks in advance,
FabianHello
Systems Satellite Pro 4200 is not know me but more often on most laptops the disk is fixed with a screw at the bottom of the unit. If you find any screws so I guess this one must be placed under the keyboard.
But if you have no a lot of computer experience I recommend to contact Toshiba service in your country. It can give you a few details how to replace the drive.I have the drive is dead you will need a new. Please note that not all drives are compatible with all laptop. In this case, you can order a decision-making support and also compatible with the Toshiba service partner in your country.
Good luck

Built in mic has stopped working on my Satellite Pro T130
Dear Forum,
the microphone of my Satellite Pro T130 15F stopped working a couple of days at a time.
It captures the white noise.
But he responds only to knock on the place where it is located next to the built-in webcam. It does not pick up normal voice or cry out to him...Can't bring any changes to the software that could influence.
What I've done so far: deleted drivers, installed new, updated all Toshiba Software and downloaded and run all the stuff suggested to this problem.
And of course, it is not set to mute or upgraded to the bottom.Still no cure.
What's next?Thanks much adavance.
Hmmm, it makes a static noise? Kinda sounds like hardware related issue
But check the microphone settings in the control panel-> sound-> recording tab
Here, you should see two entries; internal microphone and external microphone port.
The internal microphone must be turned on!In addition, the internal mic belongs to the webcam. In the assistant webcam-> settings-> audio tab, you can increase the maximum microphone volume.

ODD has stopped working on the Satellite Pro A200
I have a Satellite Pro A200 - PSAE1E.
The CD/DVD was working fine and then stopped. I put in another CD and it went through the process of trying to find - but could not.
It ejects the disc. I tried with other CD in the same direction. Yellow light works during the research process.I tried to remove the CD from the Device Manager and remove entries of regedit (as suggested on another thread) all without success.
The computer is a little over a year old and I have no recourse to assistance centers as I live in West Africa. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Hello
Is it possible to boot from the recovery disc?
I mean the CD/DVD drive reads the original disc Toshiba and it of possible to read other CD or DVD from different manufacturers? If all the other disks are not readable then the question looks like a WEIRD error and in most cases the STRANGE must be replaced.
PS: Please note that if you try to boot from the recovery disc then start a recovery procedure will format the HARD drive and reinstall it the entire image of Toshiba.

Satellite Pro C660 - keyboard problems
This issue is one for computer laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-1UX running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.
Some of the keys on Board (E, T, U, I, O, A, B, N, and the Enter key) fail to register.
All keys tested so far seem to register normally. When you connect an external USB keyboard, all the keys work properly. When you use the integrated keyboard or external USB keyboard, however, pressed some key is selected for about 2-3 seconds so that his character register. This makes typing incredibly slow and is naturally unacceptable.
I checked the Manager of devices looking for errors, but can't find one. The keyboard driver is classified properly installed and functional, and driver update indicates that the latest version is in already in service.
I've also scanned for viruses using Spybot and Malware bytes and also with laptops own antivirus software pre-installed. All the analyses of the entire system refer a none found the message of threat.
I read that the keyboards on these machines can sometimes be problematic, which could respond only to edge, some function keys. The fact that all the external USB keyboard keys work seems to confirm this. However, the fact that the keyboard both onboard and external is affected by the same slow pressure might also suggest a bios problem - but that this laptop computer is several years old and working perfectly, why bios suddenly would cause this problem.
I visited the Toshiba site and based on this laptop with the part number: PSC0ME-02100SEN, I have concluded (rightly or wrongly) that the correct bios download version is 1, 70 - WIN, only when I read the following installation instructions http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9502M10000R01.htm bios
I became quite concerned, like installing the bios update seems far from simple.Does anyone know if it is possible to download and install the bios right through an update automated versus manual download and installation step by step, which, if not carried out as planned, could make the laptop completely unusable.
Has anyone reading this post experienced similar problems with this make and model laptop and was able to return successfully to the good operating condition. If so, how?
All constructive advice would be welcome.
> When you connect an external USB keyboard, all keys work correctly.
This means that the keyboard controller is OK and the internal keyboard is defective.
To resolve this problem of keyboard, internal keyboard needs to be replaced.> However, the fact that the keyboard on board as external is affected by the same keypress slow could also suggest a bios problem - but this laptop computer is several years old and works perfectly, why bios suddenly would cause this problem.
Hmm I n t think so
The keyboard delay can be bound to parameters.

Satellite Pro C660 - Synaptic Touchpad pinch zoom partially does not work
Hey there,
The laptop I have is a satellite pro C660 2I. I've had my laptop for a year (ish) now, and he always had this 'problem '.
The touchpad has the ability to "pinch" which allows the user to zoom in or out using 2 digits on the touchpad (i.e. move the fingers together to zoom out).
Unfortunately, the touchpad recognises 2 figures as being present when I use only one finger, but only when I use the right side (or two-thirds of the pad from the right).
This made me think that maybe he was dirty, greasy etc so I cleaned and nothing has changed. I tried to uninstall the driver, reinstall / update... nothing. The strange thing is that it seems to work for approx. 1 second after I apply pressure to the left hand side in a movement of friction and then use the right side. This leads me to believe that the left side is * being constantly recognized as in use even when it is not *, but I don't know why.
I do that anyone can recommend?
Open the laptop and clean it?
A component failed to be replaced? A software update?I'm at my wits end with this laptop, and this is the only problem... is so constant now that the pad is almost unusable (deepened over time, but it wasn't a big deal at first).
Thanks in advance,

Satellite Pro C660 graphic needs driver upgrade for Adobe Lightroom 6
I tested 5 Lightroom on my Satellite Pro C660 and it worked fine.
I decided to do it, and that week Lightroom 6 came out, so I bought Lightroom 6.
LR6 gets to the start screen, then stops and closes the Windows7.
I contacted Adobe and they went on my machine and identified the problem as being the graphics card and says I need an update of the driver.I've been on the Toshiba site and it says that the latest driver is 8.15.10.2189, which is the one I currently have (and was changed in 2012).
I've been on the Intel site and their obtrusive says that the machine has a pilot custom then contact Toshiba.
I looked around the Intel site and tried to install that seem to be plausible drivers, but have not found one that would install. My installation includes a monitor LG 22 "connected to the laptop with the spread of the desktop on both screens (laptop and monitor).
No one knows what would be the upgrade of the driver I need or how can I know?
James
The page Intel graphics driver can be used, and you can also download the driver directly from the page.
This CPU does support your laptop?
What Intel GPU (Intel HD graphics chipset *) is the support of laptop? The Intel download page provides a driver Intel as an exe or zip package
https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/You need to download and unpack the zip package.
You will then be able to update the driver in Device Manager, choose the Advanced installation update procedure. -
Satellite Pro C660-171 - Double entry and/or loss of input key while typing
Toshiba Satellite Pro C660
As we bought this laptop in November 10, she has had intermittent problems with typing. Find the keyboard will miss the characters typed or type them twice. Fortunately, he can this all day and then stop and return to normal.
We restored it back to factory settings and still does intermittently. Our man IT insists it is a software problem, but has been unable to find what it is.Bizaarly, we bought two of these laptops at the same time and they both have the same defect.

Hello
I think the drawing application needs the graphics driver that supports OpenGL.
To my knowledge, the driver of the Intel page should already contain the OpenGL.
The Satellite supports graphics Intel HD (Intel HM55) so I think that you should use the driver from the Intel page, even if the update utility indicates that you are using the latest driver.I think that you need to uninstall the old driver through the Device Manager.
In addition, check whether it should be uninstalled in the control panel-> software. Then download the latest driver for the Intel HM55 chipset, and install it via the Device Manager.
You do this by using the Advanced installation procedure that will force windows to select the driver from the driver's record, that you have downloaded from the Intel page. -
Satellite Pro C660 - 24 k: Webcam/Microphone and interface issues
I went on Skype to talk and I found that it could not detect a webcam, and the other person couldn't hear my voice. I checked Device Manager and no imagery or recording device has been found.
The camera and microphone are integrated. They have worked before. There is another problem that may be related. When I got the laptop, when I pressed the fn key, a bar at the top of the pop up screen would be who showed me what did all the various f keys. It no longer appears.
Also, when I got the laptop, if I plug headphones or an external mic into the line out Sockets, a pop-up message would be. In this case no longer, and the laptop is not receiving any input headphones I plug into it.
I tried to reinstall the drivers of webcam, but in vain. According to Device Manager there is no. If this were the only problem, so I can put down to damage, but other problems give me a feeling it has something to do with a kind of software can I have accidentally disabled or deleted, which exercises control over the webcam/mic and the line output, which also produces pieces of UI such as the fn key.
I can't identify a moment when it stopped working I barely noticed the webcam and the microphone does not work as I them haven't used for a while. I noticed, however, how pressing the "fn" key is no longer shows the respective information on the screen.
Model: Toshiba Satellite Pro C660 - 24 k
OS: Windows 7 64-bit> There is another problem that may be related. When I got the laptop, when I pressed the fn key, a bar at the top of the pop up screen would be who showed me what did all the various f keys. It no longer appears.
The menu of the FN button that appears just by pressing the FN key combination is controlled by the Support of Flash memory card utility.
Try restarting this software located in all programs > Toshiba-> Flash CardsIf this does not work, reinstall the Support of Flash memory card utility.
> Also, when I got the laptop, if I plug headphones or an external mic into the line out Sockets, a pop-up message would be. In this case no longer, and the laptop is not receiving any input headphones I plug into it.
It seems that the laptop supports the Realtek audio chip. That is why the Realtek HD audio Manager must be preinstalled and placed in the Panel.
Go to the dashboard-> Realtek HD audio manager
In the upper right corner, there is a small yellow folder called "Connector settings" in my version.
There, finally I could re-enable the setting "enable popup dialog box, when the unit is plugged.I m not sure about the question of the webcam... perhaps that the system is confusing the Skype upwards and face recognition software uses the same cam then perhaps you should uninstall the software for the webcam, Skype and a face recognition software and must restart the laptop. After the software installation of webcam, facing new to Skype and recognition software.
