Keyboard stutter

I have an iMac 27 inches, end of 2013 OS10.11.6 running. Several months ago Istarted to meet a keyboard stutter. It would occur when coming out of sleep. You press a button any repeat nine times. I could close the keyboard (Apple bluetooth) and everything would be OK. The problem got progressively more frequent. After hours of consultations with Apple Care and a new keyboard, the problem continues. All regular resets were considered and a separate partition with a new copy of the operating system has not unveiled any questions. Several trips to the location of repair local Apple it finally identified the source of the problem that the mouse (Apple bluetooth). Apple has replaced the mouse and the problem continues. Apple was convinced that it was a bluetooth hardware problem and the local repair location said that there should be a software. I moved the computer to a different room with nothing connected to eliminate all external influence without effect. I decided to live with the trackpad (Apple bluetooth) and hope that everything that was dying would do so before the expiration of the warranty. I would really like to be able to use the mouse for some tasks and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

If your computer and peripherals are still under AppleCare, ask

Don't forget to save your work to a computer, or two archive.

I hope you can get the attention of a supervisor...

Good luck!

  • Qosmio X 70-A - keyboard does not work properly

    I have a Qosmio X 70-A-12N, newly purchased last September, 8.1 Windows 64-bit.

After working properly (and lots!) for half a year, the keyboard started to stutter.

If you type a paragraph or two, with say 250 words, each time and now, to say that every 10th or 20th Word (undpredictable), a key shot does not work. I tried another keyboard via USB: no problems, so it has to do with the built-in keyboard of Qosmio.

It is not specific keys, and it is not the pressure with which you press the key.
Any key can be be ignored from time to time.

All drivers have been updated to the latest questions, the BIOS is 1.50.

It seems that the problem is more important when working on the battery (not sure).

Is it a software or a hardware problem? Should the keyboard be exchanged?

My first thought was last updated from the BIOS, but according to the Toshiba download page you have latest version of the BIOS.
You know that's not easy to say what the problem is here. I can't say with certainty if there is a problem with the keyboard, but maybe you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider, explain the situation and ask for help.

They know what needs to be done. at least, they have very good diagnostic tools and it is possible to detect the problem.

I have finally upgraded to El Capitan in Yosemite. I never had any problems with my keyboard and mouse before. However, immediately after the upgrade I experienced lag/stutter my Magic Mouse. In addition, my keyboard is sometimes unusable. I hit the SPACEBAR and my computer will insert 5 +. I'll hit back and it will delete entire words/lines.

    I tried...

    1. restart the computer.
    2. bluetooth disconnection/connection
    3. keyboard and mouse of disconnection/connection
    4. Remove and repair the keyboard and mouse
    5. restart the computer several times :-)

Nothing seems to work. Any ideas/suggestions?

  • Satellite M30X problem: keyboard speed.

My keyboard responds late and sometimes stutter. I can type, but can not play games that require the keyboard, because timing is all out-of-whack. I checked the Control Panel keyboard settings and they are fine.

Also, sometimes when I put on, the mousepad doesn't work and will be only after one or two reboots.

I guess that these two disasters are linked. Please help, I'm losing my mind.

Just a possibility, make sure you have all enabled accessibility options dealing with the keyboard and mouse. Some of them may have effects that you describe. You can check on the ACCESSIBILITY tab in the control panel.

  • IOS 10 keyboard bug

There is a bug at the moment where the software keyboard when my iPad Pro running the latest iOS (from today 06/10/16) displayed in the bad sense.  It happens as follows:

I'm holding the iPad in Vertical Mode (Home button down) and I'm on the home page of apps.

I pull down from the center of the screen to access frequently used applications.

As soon as these applications appear that the software keyboard appears also, but in fashion landscape on the left side of the screen. It crashes me out to make a choice of app and I have to tilt the iPad to type the first letters of a couple of my app type laterally in the wrong way.

Expected behavior: in a vertical position the keyboard should be popping up by underneath the screen, applications frequently used at the top of the screen and there is no occlusion.

If someone has corrected it somewhere, I'm all ears, but I expect that what needs to be fixed with some magical-spackle code.

    Thank you all!

Hello. You have restarted your iPad since the last update? Here's how

    1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
    3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

  • Problem starting el capitan (sierra) - built-in keyboard and the mouse do not respond

    Hello

I have a 2015 macbook pro (SSD 256, 16 GB of RAM last el capitan updated) with a wired problem.

I use it mainly to a cinema monitor and I use wireless keyboard and mouse (office installation program), and of course as a stand-alone laptop when I'm not at my desk.

When I put the laptop to sleep, everything works fine when I wake up.

but, if I'm away from the office and I have to restart my laptop, here is the problem.

The boot process is very very slow, there is no edge, and when I finally have the screen to unlock the safe, the keyboard and the touchpad do not react. Actually, that's not exactly true, they are so slow that they are unusable and get caught quickly, all gel. So I can't unlock and complete the boot. My laptop is unusable ;-(

At this point, I get a message that if I forgot my password I just need to reboot by pressing the power button, and I'll be able to reset it.

When I do this and aprΦs the dΘmarrage that more slowly than usual but ok, I get another screen with several options of problem solving. One of them is "keyboard not responding do not. When choosing this one, it asks if you want to remove safe. I tried and everything was back to normal.

later, I delivered safe and I had the same problem again. I did the thing to be able to restart again and improved to sierra in the hope that it would disappear. However, the problem is still there.

I thought I could try to restart my office to see if my keyboard and wireless mouse would still work. Indeed, even if responsiveness was not normal, I could unlock and fill the chest.

I have the impression that my laptop always "believe" it is on my desk, linked to my screen (probably the reason why I don't hear the Bell) and to my wireless K & M.

It's really annoying and I hope someone has a solution.

    Thank you very much

    best,

    Alex

I'm having a similar problem with macOS Sierra which I didn't have with El Capitan.  I can possibly move the cursor on the power button and turn off (no), but I must be patient because the keyboard and trackpad are only for a fraction of a second, which only allows me to move the mouse slightly.  After he stop and start back up, everything is perfect until I tried another reboot, and then I'm back to the beginning.

I tried to reinstall the operating system, reset the SMC, resetting the NVRAM, reboot in SafeMode... nothing worked so far.

  • iOS 10 in Safari keyboard problem

Since the update to iOS 10, keyboard on my iPad 2 Air does not work in any web form on Safari, but works very well using Dolphin. I can normally type in the bar URL, but on any page in Safari, where I need to fill out forms the keyboard flashes off and on again with every letter I type. If type to a 'normal' speed, I'll hit the page and lose the keyboard (because I hit while the keyboard has flashed off), so I have to type slowly as a letter every second. I rebooted a couple of times and I always have this problem. Someone else?

After turning on my wireless keyboard led green lights, then begins to blink, and then turns off. The batteries are fresh.

I just upgraded my macbook air to El Capitan in Sierra.
