Killed process

Hi gurus,

I have a small question, my db is on 9.2.0.8, the platform is windows 2003, my process of parameter has been set at 800, now when I do a select on v$ resource_limit, it shows my current usage for the process as 730 parameter, so what I do is I have kill sessions that have been inactive for more than a few days. After killing it when I check the value of common use in v$ resource_limit, it is also always 730 and when I query v$ session it shows that my active sessions are 12, inactive more than 300 and sessions with the status of people KILLED are 300 +.

Can someone please tell me how I can get rid of the killed process and reduce my current use of the process?

Any solution or the direction of a solution would be much appreciated.

Thank you
Aurélie

Hello

You can snipe idle sessions by setting the idle parameter to session inactive user profile.all will be sniped automatically according to the deadline set by you.please read the metalink following doc

After the 36.0.1 on a Windows 7 computer, Firefox crashes after the first click on a link or when you try to open a new tab. I can't kill the process from the Task Manager. Need to reboot to get rid of the process.

My attempts to solve the problem so far:
Uninstalled Firefox & my anti-virus program, removed Mozilla dirs Program Files and AppData and cleaned the registry. Then reinstalled Firefox after the restart, still hangs on the first click on a link. Even impossible to kill the process, help to only to restart.

I tried on another Windows user; does not help. Still the same symptoms.

You can use the activity monitor to view the list of running processes and try to kill one. Be careful with this, you can potentially kill important processes.

Use the monitor activity on your Mac - Apple Support

It will not tell you which process is using the file however.

  • Z3 kills all apps, stops

xperia kills at home, kill the messenger, com.google.process.gapps, contacts and its dead restarts SIM and if I type in the pin it puts even kill processes

If I don't type in the axis, he killed himself in the background.

You may need to perform a repair of software using PC companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1 to 2 hours until the device has so at least 60% battery.

Make sure that the device is not connected to the computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press the power button / stop and volume until what the machine vibrates 3 times or on some devices, it must push the small button near the tray on the back of the camera or SIM).

Open PC companion-> support area-> update phone software / Tablet-> repair my phone/Tablet blue highlighted. Follow the steps, do not plug your phone until you are prompted to press volume down while plugging in the USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you may need to run Windows 7 compatibility mode (in some cases XP).

Check if you have performed the task (for example to suspend VM)

One last thing, if you cannot get a result of the #ps - c | grep vmx, could be no VM is running

The problem is obvious. You have not enough memory installed. 4 GB is barely enough to run the system, the bare minimum. Note that all of these processes 'killed because of insufficient RAM'? For your less double your RAM 8 GB. If you can swing it install the maximum amount of RAM your system can support.

When your system is running out of RAM it uses free space on your hard drive for what is called virtual memory. It reads and writes to your hard drive, as if it's real memory and slowing down operations a lot.

  • How can I close a tenacious App.

I've been duped to download an application called MegaBackup. This application does not close and I'm unable to download a new Mac OS until it is closed. While he was in the Dock I clicked on 'Leave' several times without success. I got rid of it from the dock, but it is still in the list of Applications and I can't "Eject in the trash" keep it open. HELP please.

Click on the desktop then press the COMMAND-OPTION-ESC to open the Task Manager window. Select the application from the list and click the force quit button. If that doesn't kill it then use the activity monitor in the Utilities folder. Reorder the list of processes alphabetically, locate the application in the list and select it. Click the force quit button in the toolbar at the top to the left. See that the item is deleted from the list. However, if he returns a few moments later there is much to do in order to remove all the installed files, he created.

Use the activity monitor to kill processes

Use the monitor activity on your Mac.

    Basics for uninstalling software

Most OS X applications are completely independent "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the trash.  Applications can create preferences files that are stored in the folder/Home/Library/Preferences /.  Although they do nothing once you remove the associated application, they take up little space.  If you want you can find them in the location above and delete them, too.

Some applications may install an uninstall program that can be used to remove the application. If you can't find the uninstall program you can download the free software, easy to find, to locate the files that must be deleted. Places you should look for include:

    1. / Home/Library/application support / folder. Check if the application has created a folder, and then delete the folder that is located in the application Support folder.
    2. Applications can install a startupitem, or Item Log In.  StartupItems are usually installed in the folder/Library/StartupItems/or in the folder/Home/Library/StartupItems /.  Journal items are defined in the preferences users and groups.  Open the 2003′s preferences, then click the login items tab.  Select the item in the list and click the Delete button [---] to remove it.
    3. Some software uses demons start or agents.  Look for them in/library/LaunchAgents/Library/LaunchDaemons/or in/Home/Library/LaunchAgents /.

Some applications install a reception in the folder/library/receipts /.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The element typically has an extension ".pkg".  Do not forget that you also remove this element because some programs use to determine if it is already installed.

There are a lot of utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:

    1. AppZapper
    2. AppDelete
    3. Hazel
    4. AppCleaner
    5. CleanApp
    6. iTrash
    7. AppBolish
    8. AppUninstaller
    9. Uninstaller

It would be better to RAM as soon as possible.

  • MacBook Pro (mid-2012) is very slow. EtreCheck said not enough RAM but Activity Monitor says RAM is fine.

It happens about any application (especially chromium, but also iMovie, TextEdit, Messenger, Finder, etc.). It will work correctly for 30-60 seconds give the rotation for 30 seconds beach ball, then works again then beach ball.

What do you see in the activity monitor to suggest that the RAM is fine?

The EtreCheck report shows that you have only 33MB of free RAM in time, which can only cause slowdowns. Google Chrome only takes 1.3 GB of it. Chrome is a Devourer of enormous resources, so if possible, try to quit smoking by using another browser.

  • .. system memory of the application

Can anyone suggest anything? Computer slowed right down and requested force quite apps, with the message: your system is out of memory for the application.

As suggested in another post, I ran an EtreCheck and the report is quoted below. I deleted some adware. Should I look for in this new?

Back up your Mac if you have not already done so. For how to use Time Machine to read the basics of the Mac: Time Machine backs up your Mac - Apple Support.

It is unreasonable to expect a Mac to work properly with bad designed "anti-virus" and "cleaning" of the products installed.

Beware that the effectiveness of its uninstall program is poor, a typical feature of garbage software.

    • Uninstall "Trusteer". The following may be useful:

    https://www.Trusteer.com/support/uninstalling-rapport-Mac-OS-x

    • It is not reasonable to expect a Mac to function normally after using CleanMyMac. Like many utilities 'clean' ill-conceived, it is able to corrupt a Mac that erasing it completely is the only way to recovery. CleanMyMac is not the only example; It is simply popular thanks to marketing strategies that are as effective as they are intrusive.

There is no possible way to reverse the effects of using the CleanMyMac2 other than to reinstall files affected all backups or their original sources. The developer sound uninstall instructions are ineffective, despite their recent claims to the contrary. Only MacPaw, its developer, can know the reason, but I see two possibilities: either they deliberately leave components behind for reasons best known to themselves, or they do not know what they are doing. Neither one of these opportunities is particularly heartening for the user.

Reinstall OS X has no effect on deletion CleanMyMac or reverse the damage, it is able to inflict on a system.

To recover from the effects of using it to change the OS X software, you need and essential files you need, follow the applicable recovery procedure below:

    • If you have a backup that you created before using CleanMyMac, now is the time to use it. To boot OS X RecoveryTime Machine in Mac OS X utility screen, select restore from a Time Machine backup. Choose a date prior to the installation of CleanMyMac.
    • If you don't have a backup previous use of CleanMyMac, create one now. To do this read to use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac.
      • The recovery procedure require that you erase the Mac using OS X Recovery, and then create a new user account whose content will be empty. You can then use Setup Assistant to migrate your essential documents, including photos, music, products of work and other essential files.
      • To erase and install OS X read How to reinstall OS X on your Mac.
        • Follow the instructions in this document under wipe your drive and install OS X.
        • Then follow the procedure to move your content to a new Mac.
        • When asked how you want to transfer your data, select transfer from a Mac, Time Machine backup or boot disk.
        • Under Select the information to transfer, select only your previous user account and do not select 'Applications', 'Computer and Network Settings' or 'other files and folders. Deselect these choices.
      • After using Setup Assistant, you will need to reinstall the essential software that you might need, once more without forgetting to install the software from their original sources and by omitting all non-essential software.
      • "Non-essential software" is a broad category that includes, but is not limited to the products 'antivirus' third party 'cleaning' and 'maintenance '.
  • Helps the slow macbook! quicklookd and kernel_task % high... Posted ETRECHECK.

Hello, I'm not sure how to diagnose or fix myself, so I hope someone can help!

When one looks at the Activity Monitor there are moments where kernel_task or quicklookd are 99% of the CPU.

The fan is going crazy for these periods...

My macbook is running abnormally slow today and there are times when the rainbow reel comes after each letter or Word as I type. Applications take much too long to open and Safari is taking forever just to load the next page.

How can I do to speed up my mac and what is causing these processes use so much CPU?

Also - it says on the bottom right of my activity monitor "process: 192" Wow is not much?

Here's my report from long hours near EtreCheck... I hope someone can help! Please, I beg you!
