The best way to manage old cameras that have compatibility problems is not to connect the camera to the computer, but rather to remove the memory card from the camera and use a desktop card reader to make transfers.

If your computer lacks a built-in card reader, you can buy very cheap () USB card readers

  • Windows vista home edition premium is compatible with the kodak zd15 camera

PC won't let me download videos from my zd15 camera sd memory card.  He's going to upload pictures, but not videos. Kodak claims that they are not compatible.  gave me a site to ask for help and wanted to bill me.

Here's a way to accomplish the task...

Apparently, you have an external or internal USB media player?

Insert the memory card into the correct location on the media player...
    If open windows... Close them.

When the card is inserted... If you go to... Start / computer... is
player card on one or several removable disks?

    Removable (e :)) drive
    Removable disk (e :))
    Removable drive (g)

If_Yes_you can download the files from here. Left click
the drive letter that corresponds to the SD card slot should
display the directory of the card and you can copy and paste or
Drag and drop the files of your choice in a folder on your hard drive
    drive.

Just click with the right button on a group of selected files and choose... Copy...
then navigate to the folder that you want, and then right-click the
    folder and choose Paste.

  • Scanner and Camera Wizard does not

I placed my Kodak digital camera memory card into the slot on my computer, and the only answer is that it runs on my printer scanner.  How can I transfer my photos from my camera to my computer?

I placed my Kodak digital camera memory card into the slot on my computer, and the only answer is that it runs on my printer scanner.  How can I transfer my photos from my camera to my computer?

    ================================================
Perhaps, you can manually start the scanner and Camera Wizard:

With your camera or scanner connected and open
on... try to go on... Start / run... and type or copy / paste
    What follows:

    wiaacmgr.exe

Now press on... Come in. This should launch the Scanner
    and the camera Assistant.

The following Wizard can also be worth a try:

    Microsoft AutoPlay Repair Wizard
    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=2648

Also, you could manually download photos:

    Something to try...

Connect the device to your PC via a USB cable and turn
on the camera... If open windows... Close them.

According to... to... Start / my computer... the camera can be
    listed as a drive letter...

If_yes_right click on the drive letter and select... Explorer or
Open... This should display the directory of the memory card.
You can copy and paste or drag and drop the files from there to a
    folder on your hard drive.

(The same steps work if you have a media player...
When you go to... Start / desktop media slots...
Drive should be listed under... "Removable disk" with a drive
    letter.)

Millie, you can use paint dot net (see my previous answer) to clarify/change
images. You will need to take the card out of the camera as you did before.

  • What should I do to be able to use the Kodak filters with PSE V13?

With PSE Version 10 (and PSE Versions older than V10), I have to be able to use the Kodak filters (e.g. the Kodak 'Digital Roc Professional V2.1.0,' the KODAK "Digital GEM Professional V2.1.0",...), I had to (one time) the following when you run PES Editor:

    • Preferences-> Plug-Ins
    • Check the box "Plug-in additional files" and then "select" files C\Program (X 86) \Kodak folder that contains the files with the Kodak flters

Once I did that (after stopping and restarting of the PES editor), I could use the KODAK filters with full Editor from PSE via the Menu-> filters.

With PSE V13, it does not. In the V13 PES Editor, Menu-> filters don't show me any KODAK filter.

Because the V13 PES editor not showing me filters KODAK via the Menu-> filters: I tried the following: I copied the folder that contains the KODAK filters in the V13 PES editor plug-in folder. It worked too much

I'd appreciate your help / feedback, because I need KODAK filters for retouching of tousands of scanned old slides (among others for the removal of color in all cases casts where using the PES editor alone is not enough to eliminate the strong color casts in old slides)

    Thanks in advance

You use windows? Remember that PSE 13 is 64-bit, unless you have a 32-bit system (indicating the path of file in your post is not the case) and plugins should be as well. Many existing plugins will not work unless there is a updated version. If these are the image enhancement plug-ins, note the tecniques:

    V

2.1: Compatible with WINDOWS 7, XP and Vista for ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS5/CS6 (32-bit ONLY) and CS5 MAC/INTEL (32-bit ONLY).

    Hey James aka SamBraun.

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: You can run this Microsoft Fix to see if all the problems can be automatically identified and resolved:

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

Method 2: If the method above does not help, then you can uninstall and reinstall Kodak Easyshare software from the link below:

  • My camera is recording in MPEG-4, but it does not support Windows Movie Maker. What can I do?

    Original title: Windows Movie Maker

I am running XP Pro 2002 SP2. I bought a Kodak video camera that shoots formant MPEG-4 and Windows Movie Maker does not support. What should I do?

You may not have the right codecs installed for the type of video file that you are manipulating? One option is to search for and install a code pack, such as the k - lite codec pack.

  • Cannot download the software because the entry in the downloads window says "canceled."

Internet access: Juno dial-up. Browser: Firefox 18.0.2. OS: Windows XP Pro. No antivirus program. I could not download the software of three websites. When the Firefox downloads window opens, it lists the file I want to download, but under this file is called a message that reads, "cancelled - (name of the Web site)." What can cause a download to be cancelled? How can I avoid this and get the download?
The software which I have been unable to download is: Adobe.com: Acrobat Reader and Flash Player. of kodak.com: the software in support of my camera Kodak digital photo; of mozilla.org: Thunderbird. If I followed the instructions from Adobe and double-click the file name in the window of downloads, the download product, but it seems to be a travesty of download. When it's over, nothing more, and when I search the entire hard drive for the file to be downloaded, it is not found. The data seem to have simply disappeared. I took two screenshots of a cancelled Thunderbird download, but I do not see how to reach this question.
