L50-B-1VP satellite does not recognize external monitor

I recently bought by Satellite L50-B-1VP and I have some problems to connect it to my TV.
I tried to use an HDMI cable and a VGA cable, but nothing happens.

The cables and the TV are ok because I've used them before.
When I try with the HDMI, it is said; no signal detected, but using the type TV VGA cable of restarts and the screen is black. I am using Windows 7 32 bit and I tried Fn + F4 and also Windows + P.

The problem is that the external TV is not recognized and it does not appear in the display settings.
What can I do?

If someone could help me I would appreciate it a lot!

The phone is sold without a preinstalled Windows System. It seems that you have installed and configured Windows 7 at your own hand.

Well, I guess that the problems with the video output may be related to missing drivers or a bad configuration of the system.
From my point of few, you check some key points.

First I would recommend you to check if the essential graphics driver has been installed.
The laptop does not support dedicated graphics card, but the CPU (Intel N3540) provides internal GPU Intel HD Graphics.

So I recommend you to reinstall the Intel and the Intel Chip Set Utility display driver

Your comments would be appreciated

  • Help! Aspire 5735 laptop with broken screen does not recognize external monitor after the factory restore

I have an ACER Aspire 5735, running horrible Vista that never worked from the beginning, always locked up, media player never worked, on, on, and after about a year my dog took in the power cord and threw out of the table and the broken screen. I used it with an external monitor for a while, but it was even worse after that and after that he take to get fixed yet has proceeded to run super slow, always locked up, refused to stop or start upward normally, and so he sat in a closet for about 3 years.

I took it out a week ago to see if I could at least use it for my kids to friends to play on, but that she still had so many questions, I decided to do a factory restore. And of course the recovery disks that I did when I got it do not work and are not yet recognized by the computer. So I went online and has used a method that I found there by rebooting and hitting the keys ALT F10 until I was at the factory reset option. It worked GREAT! Except once the computer has restarted and opened up to windows deleted monitor and I can't do anything with the computer because apparently it does not recognize that it is hooked to an external monitor on the restore to factory settings! Help!

  • L50-B-11J satellite does not recognize the HARD drive connected by USB 3.0

    Hello

I recently bought a new laptop and install a new legal copy of windows pro 8.1.

The problem that arises is actually a USB 3.0 port.
Also, I have a drive external hard support standard USB 2.0 and 3.0.

When I plug-in the hard drive into a USB 2.0 or any USB 3.0 port (two port supports USB 3.0 is disabled in the BIOS) fine, hard drive is recognized and I can access.

But, when I plug-in the hard disk into a USB 3.0 port (two port supports USB 3.0 is active in the BIOS) Windows does not recognize it and I can't access it.

The hard disk led flashes, so it has the power, but does not appear in the devices or Device Manager.
My opinion is that the problem may be with the drivers for USB, but Toshiba is supported for driver for USB 3.0 for Windows 8.1.

Then can someone suggest me what to do?

    Laptop: Satellite L50-B-11J
    USB ports: 1xUSB 2.0 port, 2xUSB 3.0 port
    Operating system: Windows Pro 8.1
USB 3.0 driver: Intel (r) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Control - 0100 (Microsoft)
External hard drive: support USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 standard

Intel USB 3.0 driver is part of the 8.1 Windows System... This is not supplied by Toshiba.

Windows 7 contains no such USB 3.0 driver and so you can download driver Intel USB 3.0 page of the Toshiba driver as well as the Intel download site.

By the way: try to disable the functionality of sleep & Charge and check how the HARD drive would work.

  • Vista does not recognize external hard drive (LONG!)

I bought a Terrabite Cavalry USB Mass Storage 1 unit some time around January 2009. We used it to back up my computers portable wife and daughters without any problems (it was Windows XP a Windows Vista). Shortly after, we have tried to back up my desktop computer, also running Windows Vista, but my computer does not recognize the drive into any USB port. After this attempt, we get is more willing to work on any computer. We contacted the cavalry and they replaced the drive, but we lost a lot of data since most of the files saved on my wife and daughter desktops have been deleted to clean up their hard drives.
When I received the spare drive I backed up my computer with no problems.

We moved from NC to PA in August of last year and had packed the new car. Recently, we unpacked and used to transfer ALL the photos of my wife, numbering several hundred, again with no problems. In addition, she has saved his computer using the Vista utility. Today, I made the horrible mistake of trying to back up my computer using the same player. I had completely forgotten the previous question. Yet once, my computer did not recognize the drive, any USB port used or on the tabs 'computer '. When the drive is plugged in and turned on, it will be not even allow us to display the elements on the tab 'computer '.

And now, just as before, the player no longer works on my wife's computer either. THIS IS AN ESSENTIAL QUESTION! If we cannot access the drive over 500 photos of our family, covering more than 5 years are lost forever!

Although I've read similar questions on this site (especially in regards to Windows XP) I can't find the one that is exactly the same problem as this.
There is nothing wrong with my computer. Each USB port works fine. I tried other USB devices with no problems of any kind.

On both computers, if you connect the external drive and the power up it starts with a light blue on the front as it is supposed to. He then became red and Windows makes the normal audio alert, as it does with any USB device plugged. On the bar, the new icon 'Remove hardware safely', says but clicking on that alone causes the computer to get ung place intil the drive is unplugged. The same is tru if we try to access the tab "Computer" in the Start Menu. The computer attempts to load the itms 'Computer' but never the completion of the task. THE TWO COMPUTER DO EXACTLY THE SAME THING! My wife uses a Dell with Vista Home Premium and I use an EMachine with Vista Home Basic. And this issue seems to happen only after using his computer to mine, not the other way around because I had done a backup on thise drive when I got last year and she just did a new now on his own.
I wrote to the Cavalry, but received no response. They said the last time that they aren't able to recover lost data, and it is said that all over their site.
The external drive is a cavalry model # CAXP3701PA.
Someone please help! Pictures of our last five years (including photos of my wife of his precious Golden Retriever from puppy to now) are lost if we cannot solve this problem. It seems that the player works well, but something corrupting of the software driver. We tried again to my wife's computer o and it begins with "Download driver software for device" but then what I described before using it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Put the disc in a real store of the computer (not the leeks and the glances at a Best Buy or other stores)
and they can remove the drive from the case and put it in another computer to back up data
to other media. Of course this cancels any warranty and may not work if the drive has probably
in fact failed. Data can often be recovered since a failed drive while it's expensive.

(The drive could be put in either your PC as a 2nd drive).

    I hope this helps.

  • Windows 7 does not recognize external hard drive after the reboot

I just bought a WD external hard drive.  I plugged in the USB port and automatically loaded everthing.  I even registered the product.  Then I was told that there was an update to the external hard drive.  I went ahead and put to day and when my computer restarted to him alone is no longer recognizes WD external hard drive.  I had another hard drive that I used where Windows 7 does not recognize it either?  Is it some sort of security setting, I need to adjust on Windows 7 64 bit?  Please notify.

Check if the hard drive is assigned to a drive letter in disk management.

Click Start, right click on computer

    Click on management of

    Expand disk management

Select your external hard drive if its posted here

  • Windows 7 does not detect external monitor!

Hi I have a huge dilemma!

My laptop does not recognize the external monitor. Earlier in the day, he detected the external monitor and perfectly well worked through to extend, in doubles, you name it. However, after restarting my computer, I was unable to get the external display to be recognized...

I use a laptop Lenovo y470 and nvidia gt 550 m 64-bit. I've updated the grahpics card but in vain...

The way I have it plugged into the external monitor is using a hdmi cable to connect the laptop to a monitor for a DVI-HDMI adapter. Basically, the dvi port became a port hdmi with this adapter.  its dvi - d.

I think that restarting the computer developed a few updates and the graphics card only connects via VGA or HDMI and DVI not? I'm not sure... I'd love any idea of a solution.

    Hello

If you do not see an option named multiple displays in your display settings, then Windows isn't detecting a second monitor plugged into your desktop computer. Or else, it does not detect an external monitor plugged into your laptop. When Windows detects this monitor, it will appear in the drop-down list next to the screen. If you do not see that what listed there, try click on Detect.

Make sure that the monitor you want to extend your desktop is turned on and plugged the correct video port on your computer. You may also need to select the correct source labeled on the controls of your monitor to ensure that the monitor is using the correct video port. For more information, consult the manual of your monitor or go to the manufacturer's Web site.

    Method 1:

For more details, see the following articles:

  • PC does not recognize new monitor

I have a Compac PC under Windows 7 Home Premium.  I had to replace a generic monitor who was dying and buy a DELL E2314HSC1 monitor.  The seller assured me that it works with one computer other than DELL.
The PC recognizes only as the generic monitor attached previously.  DELL Manager software installed, but does not work because the PC still "thinks" the old monitor is attached.
I thought of uninstalling the old monitor and see if it then acknowledge the DELL, but I fear that this then I would not no matter which monitor access at all if it does not recognize.
It is attached via cable with blue sheets.  My PC does not have entries for the one with the gray caps.  (Sorry, I don't know what either of those called, but I hope you experts out there know what I mean).
    Any suggestions?

You try to install the E2314H driver.

  • Windows Vista does not recognize external USB 260 GB HARD drive

I have a 260 GB Seagate external hard drive, a laptop Toshiba satellite and Windows Vista Basic.

The same Windows usually choose the hard drive when I plug it, it does not appear in Device Manager and in disk management, the only way I can get it to work is to uninstall all the USB root hub and then restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB root hub and plug my hard drive.

When windows finally recognizes him, the only way to find the driver must choose c:\ manually and there's the search for the computer.
Works for the time that I have the computer hard disk, but when I stopped it, next time I use the computer, I'm having exactly the same problem.

I tried to remove the hard drive safely and then close the computer and by him plugging back in after windows has loaded, I tired it connected from the computer and tried to close the computer with connected.

    None of these work.
    Can someone help me please?

    Strange?  :|
But what need s say Microsoft Windows so I don't expect 100% without bug OS ;)

Disconnect the USB HDD and remove all the USB ports and Device Manager USB controllers. After restarting again the OS should reinstall ports. Then you could try to reconnect the HARD drive.

  • Mac Mini does not recognize external hard drive

    Hello!

I have a weird question on my Mac Mini. I have two Seagate to 8 external drives connected via USB to my Mac Mini (mid-2011 with Maverics). The discs worked well, but suddenly one of them will not be recognized by the Mac Mini.

I connected the hard drive of my MacBook Pro and an old PC and it works fine and all files are available, but for some reason, my Mac Mini will have nothing to do with her anymore.

It does not appear in the finder or disk utility. I unplugged the hard drive for hours and then tried to plug it back without a bit of luck. I restarted the Mac Mini on several occasions. I also tried to connect it to all the USB ports on the Mac Mini. When I connect it to the USB ports, there is no whisper sound indicating that it has started working. However, no sign of it on the Mac Mini.

It's like the Mac Mini has decided to ignore the external hard drive, no matter what I do. Seeing this works on other devices, I'm fairly certain that the problem lies in the Mac Mini.

I'm no expert, so any help will be very valuable for me. And if you are kind to help, please explain it to me like I'm 8 or 93 years old.

    Thank you.

Are these drives powered independently or they depend on USB power?

  • Portege 7200 does not recognize external memory

    I downloaded Windows XP on my 7200 Portege (with 256 MB external memory) and it worked fine. All of a sudden it started overheating and has been extremely slow. I reformatted the drive, downloaded XP again and it seems to work well, although slowly;

However, he refuses to acknowledge the external memory and seems to work with internal memory of 64 MB only.
Is this a problem of port external memory (hardware) or I can do something to fix this?

    Hello

You suggested also that the laptop started to overheat.
As far as I know it is possible that the cooling modules cannot cool the CPU and then the CPU does not work with maximum efficiency.
You should check you cooling grids for dust and debris.
You can try to use the vacuum cleaner to clean the fans. But be careful.

The second possibility is a dysfunction of memory modules.
    Try to test with another.

  • FireWire and does not recognize external drive.

I am running a Macbook Pro 10.7.5 2010. Recently my firewire port started reading randomly my WD external hard drive. When I plug it in, the light comes on to show it is powered, but no other Exchange of information is performed. It does not appear in the Finder or disk utility. While he will reveal sometimes without reason. Any ideas?

It could be the port, the cable or the housing.  Test all three possibilities.

As a matter of procedure, reset the SMC and the NVRAM:

  • Stor.e TV + does not recognize external DVD

    Hello!

I connect an external DVD / Blu - ray with a USB cable player (as suggested by the manual), but when I go to the icon of the DVD, I get the message "no changer". I plug in a Phillips bluray that seems pretty standard... Anyone who has faced this problem before or can give advice?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    You are right
The Stor.E + can be connected to the external CD/DVD drive with a USB cable.
To do this you must select DVD auto play option and need to fix on IT.
    Did you do that?

Connect the DVD player via the USB cable to Stor.E TV +.
Select setup-> system-> AutoPlay dvd and active automatic DVD playback
Then select external DVD option in the main interface of the Store TV +.

If this does not work, I recommend you to test the Store TV + as part of another drive to CD/DVD, but to my knowledge, there is no particular standard (of course USB 2.0 should be supported) which would be necessary
