  The first time I plugged this monitor (ASUS VH198T) on my computer (HP Pavilion) he recognized after restart and all the buttons worked, I was able to update the display settings of native 1440 x 900. I have not found the updated drivers for any of these components.  I know this problem perhaps more to do with my PC the monitor, but you don't know where else to get info... person only (manufacturers that is) seems to mind to respond to technical support requests.   I have an ACER Aspire 5735, running horrible Vista that never worked from the beginning, always locked up, media player never worked, on, on, and after about a year my dog took in the power cord and threw out of the table and the broken screen.   Computers portable Japanese are unknown to me, but if this laptop comes with two hard drives and RAID option do not forget the good option is set in the BIOS. Without the right BIOS setting you will not be able to install the OS.

  On Qosmio G30, I was able to install Vista when for two HDD HARD drive settings were 0-RAID-1. Check it please and let us know.

  You don't mention what service pack you have, but if you have sp 3, the most likely reason is that the card reader in your laptop is too old to read new (> 2 GB) SDHC cards.  Connected by USB readers are fairly inexpensive, just be sure that the one you get includes the ability to read SDHC cards

  Help please! I got a new number, a few weeks ago. I have sprint and I was able to get a new phone number. It works and everything when people call me, usually works, but not always when they text me (see below). My iphone 6 no is still not recognize my new number entirely... for some people my contact switched automatically, but for others it is not. Also, when I look in settings/phone it shows my old number and I can't click on it to change. In contacts, it also displays "my number" and I then click on edit and change, but it does not save the changes. Another weird thing that happens is when someone whose didin't automatically phone my new test numbers to text me, it transformed into a group with my old phone number message, the person texting me and my new phone number.

• X 60 tablet PC does not recognize home monitor

  I just got a used monitor which was working well, brought it home and connected to my X 60 Tablet VGA connedtion and nothing happens.  The external monitor is connected and turned on.  I read that the computer will automatically detect the new monitor just like when I attach an external hard drive, but this isn't the case.  No idea what could be the problem?

  Two things here... work from memory, since I very rarely use an external LCD:

  (a) go to control panel > display and try to get the machine to recognize the external monitor.

  (b) try enabling / disabling Fn + F7 and see if that does anything for you.

  I have a question that has been annoying me a lot during the last few weeks, as follows...

  I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 computer is running Windows XP service pack 3, it has a cd/DVD burner in this model (HL-DT-ST DVD +-RW GWA4164B), I used to be able to burn CDs and DVDs fine, so please respond with lol 'maybe your drive doesn't burn DVDs' as you can see in the model # it's a DVD +-RW drive.

  But my problem is the following... for some reason the DVD burner does not detect the 'NEW' blank DVD - R, there is no problem of detection of blank CD - R disc and I can burn fine on the CD - R. But for some reason it does not detect blank DVD?

  When I put one in the drive, I don't get the popup asking what I want to do etc, or to go to WORKSTATION and look a the drive it shows no media present.

  I have Nero Platinum 15 installed in my burning software, which has a function of DISK INFORMATION, which also shows that 'no disk in drive '.

  I have re installed Nero...

  I uninstalled the drive and re installed

  Re, I installed the latest drivers for Dell Optiplex

  I bought a second axis of new blank DVDs

  I took out what I left little hair!

• Windows does not recognize second monitor, lists as generic pnp monitor

  I have a Setup dual monitor. When I bought the monitor in that I plugged it, windows 7 recognized immediately there were no problem driver. After about two weeks all sudden Windows Add as the right brand and model but just as a generic pnp monitor. I rebooted and the problem was solved. Then it started happening more and more and now I have nothing will fix the problem. I installed the drivers for the monitor, ATI drivers reinstalled and nothing else in between I can find. It wouldn't be a problem except that when it it lists as is the generic monitor does not have the correct resolution and I'm stuck with a second monitor that is horrible with a lower resolution. Any help or ideas would be useful.

  I suggest to disable your antivirus and security temporarily software and try remove and reinstall driver.

  The laptop does not support dedicated graphics card, but the CPU (Intel N3540) provides internal GPU Intel HD Graphics.

  So I recommend you to reinstall the Intel and the Intel Chip Set Utility display driver

  You need to download the drivers from the graphics card company Web site directly.  The default Windows drivers do not support the two monitors.

  Since you have a Dell, you can contact them and see if they will send you an updated XP installation disc. The alternative is to integrate SP3 into the XP SP1 support and create a new XP installation disc which will include SP3. It is not difficult.

  Since the static IP address, make sure that the computer has the IP address of the printer.

  This can be done by clicking Start > all programs > HP > Officejet 8600 The folder > IP update.
