L50D-B satellite is not booting

Hello

I have a laptop SATELLITE L50D-B.
I had some problems with my computer starts. I don't remember if it's after a standby or hibernation (you know any newspaper with this information)?
What is happening is black screen, power on, and caps lock and num lock LED on. The latter two is always and do not stop even if I press the buttons. There seems to not be any activity on the disk.

Does anyone else have this problem?
Thank you

Sometimes it may happen that the laptop would not be able to wake up mode sleep or hibernation, in this case it s advisable to remove the battery + AC adapter and press and hold the power button / 30 sec long.

After this short intervention, plug in the battery and the AC adapter and the laptop must turn on by pressing the power button.

But this procedure would not work for each laptop because for some portable models it of not possible to remove the battery the battery is hidden under the plastic cover

In this case, you must check if the laptop would support additional force off switch as described here:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB3C03JR0000R01.htm

But in general this should very often appear where this issue would occur every hour after setting the laptop into hibernation/sleep mode, you need to check if the BIOS can be updated.

Also RAM problems could lead to similar problems then, probably, the modules should be checked for possible malfunction.

  • C55-b860 satellite is not booting

    Hi all

I have a Satellite laptop c55, b860 which is not booting unfortunately. I disassembled it and deleted all the components that are connected to the MB, including hard drive, keyboard, and touchpad and also changed ram, but still the laptop does not start. As soon as I connect the power (with no hard drive attached), I hear a little gurgling noise. Not even the small hard drive is lighting up so it seems that the problem is with the MB. However, I'm not sure if it's the power supply. Can anyone give some advice on this? or maybe experienced something similar? Thank you

    Hi Repairlab

You are not alone. I currently have a C50 Sat with exactly the same problem, with the exception of the upgrade. My problem started before I upgraded to 10. Like you, I can start with the battery and using taking current, but which is rubbish for a laptop.
I didn't upgrade the bios but the laptop does not recognize when the battery is connected and the bios update tool continues to ask for it (VERY annoying ToshIba if you already read your forums).
I was trawl through these forums looking for a solution, but there are 0 replies on the vast majority of positions. Not even ToshIba engineers seem to have a presence.

In any case, did you ever solved the problem, and if so can you please share?

  • L750 satellite is not booting - does not light

Hi, I have a Sat L750D-14R (3 years) that the powers are no longer on nor do the lights go on when the power cable is fixed; the food is very good - see last paragraph. I tried power with only the battery and removed but battery power cable set and the unit remained completely unresponsive in both cases. Everything is nothing, no light, no sound, nothing.

Little background. Left corner of a few months back (Apr) the thing took a dive on the lower hull cracking on the back and the moving screen, however, after connecting to an external monitor the startup thing fine, showed no sign of additional damage / questions and worked without a hitch so far. Close one day last week and when I came back two days later and turned on the plug I noticed that the usual lights were dark, and thereafter nothing has worked.

Since then, I have opened it upward and can see no obvious visible damage to any of the internal components. I had met some info on a short-circuit via the screen and as he was broken in any case, I unplugged the cable from the screen. Unfortunately, this made no difference, and the unit is completely dead.

In addition to checking the base power adapter was not at fault, I used a multicard and having a blue on light. When it is plugged into the laptop would go blue light which must be stable for a few seconds, then off for a few seconds, on the back and would keep it if I had not immediately disconnected it. Needless to say, this is aberrant behavior. I thought maybe the power supply is in some way responsible but surely the unit should start up on battery alone at least until the battery runs out?

Any ideas as to what might be causing this or how I would go to the audit of the other?

    Bravo for pointers.

Can you tell us what you did exactly?

  • Satellite L50D-B-12W does not recognize the Integrated GPU

    Hello

    I recently bought a laptop Satellite L50D-B-12W.

The laptop comes from Italy and im from Spain, but the stock windows installed from the factory was in English.
I change windows stocks for a Spanish 8.1 for Windows Pro 64-bit and the problem starts here.

This medication works well, except the built-in graphics card.
The laptop tells me what the model is AMD APU A6-6310 with graphic AMD Radeon R4 card.

Initially I download graphics drivers web support AMD APU.
I installed and recognizes the cpu but not the graphics card (remaining with the VGA in Windows standard) for videos HD plays with cuts and slowly.

Then I download the autopilots downloand shape AMD and the program downloads the APU A6 drivers but the problem is the same.

I try with Windows 7 64 bit also, but I can't seem to recognize the integrated graphics card.

    Please, can someone help me?
What are the correct drivers I need to download?

    Hello

The Satellite L50D-B-12W was not equipped with a dedicated (external) graphics chip
The L50D-B-12W Satellite was equipped with rolande A6-6310 AMD processor supporting internal graphic unit Radeon R4. This GPU is just a part of the AMD CPUS.
The graphics AMD compatible driver is already listed on the page of the Toshiba UE driver under:

    -Satellite
    -Satellite L series
    -L50D-B satellite
    -PSKULE

  • Satellite A60 Pro is not booting

    Hello

I hope someone here can help you. I know that this laptop is old ages, but it's the only one my aunt and she would that he repaired if possible.

    Basically, the question is this.
You can start the laptop, all the normal lights light up and the screen with the Toshiba logo and 4 icons at the bottom and then... nothing.

He's sitting there for centuries, showing the logo and nothing more.
You can turn it off by holding the power button down and turn it back on again, same thing.
I did this without the disc without the optical drive and HARD. No difference.

The worst part, without a keyboard input seems to be accepted. I help ESC, F1 and F12 on separate occasions but no change - goes to the screen of tosh, no other movement.

HARD drive and optical drive turn up, as in they make noise and you can feel their displacement.

I'm at a loss and need help please!

    Hello

If the laptop is unable to pass the Toshiba start screen, then this would mean that a serious hardware problem has been detected.
During the startup process, POST (power on self-test) is running (for the POST, you see the Toshiba start screen) and the material is checked. If that fails, the laptop would not boot the system.

I guess something is wrong with the motherboard. You can see the modules of memory, but in the case where the modules are ok, the mobo may be the troublemaker.

  • Satellite A200 - 19L can not boot from the CD

    Hi guys,.

I'm glad I found this forum site, I pretty well hope to find a solution here.

Well, this problem is not very complicated, in fact my DVD player (model TS-L632) is not read more, so much so I decided to change with a new one, but it is not the same model as the original drive.
It is the case of the generic DVD player really.

Now when I inserted my recovery disk or any bootable disk is not booting the CD, and when I press F12 for I can't find any CD/DVD drive, but running in Windows I can't find the DVD player and it can read any CD priority boot normally.

Just having the problem while booting from CD.
I thought that maybe there is no security for this model that locked some hardware.
So please guys want to help me how to understand it,

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    > When I press F12 for boot priority I can't find any CD/DVD drive, but running in Windows I can find the DVD player and it can normally read any CD.

The whole story seems really strange to me
If you access the BIOS, you can see the details of the CD/DVD drive? The drive is recognized properly?

If not then I guess that the STRANGE inserted is not totally compatible due to different master/slave/c-salt settings.

    > but running in Windows I can find the DVD player and it can normally read any CD
It s also strange to me so that the CD/DVD drive appears in Device Manager even if the CD/DVD drive Startup menu option does not appear.

    But first check the BIOS

Startup error - error PXE-L300 1AS - will not boot from USB

I recently bought a new HD to replace the original that my laptop takes an hour to load.

I put the new drive hard at in the BIOS setting, I chose to boot from USB... USB is recognized as it appears on the screen of the BIOS. I disabled the LAN option as it gives me PXE error... I think that the USB files are not read. as I handed the old HD and attached to boot from USB but it just goes to the start screen.

I thought that perhaps I bought the wrong HD, but a new appeared on the BIOS setting... I'm a bit confused and would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction...

Any help or advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

New HARD drive has nothing to do with it. Problem must be your USB key.
In your ad you didn t wrote what is on it, and we don t know if USB can operate as boot device or not.

I put t know what OS you want to install right now but original recovery DVDs or use Microsoft installation disc and install Win7 32 bit. I ve installed on friends L300 and it works perfectly.

    Hello

Maybe just this particular recovery disk can not be read by the CD/DVD drive.
Copy/burn the recovery to another disk drive that can be manipulated buy the CD/DVD drive.
I had good experience with R TDK discs.

Is it a common problem with this model?

It is possible to address the question, what are the steps involved in the process?

Laptop needs spare parts to fix this?

    > Is it a common problem with this model?
Certainly not and something like this can happen on every laptop.
On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what problem can be. All of a sudden switch OFF may be related to material high temperature and overheating.
I put t know how I can you use your laptop on battery power, but I hope you don t use it in the lap or bed and the air vents are not blocked somehow.

Place the laptop on the desktop and check if the same thing will happen again.

  • Satellite Pro A120 boot disc

I'm trying to install xp on my Satellite Pro A120 (PSAC1E), which is under Vista Business (somehow) 1 GB of RAM. I tried to set BIOS to boot from the CD-ROM, I tried the setting to boot from the CD-ROM using screen splach (F4) options. The snoring of CD player and I can hear it trying to read the disc (and ongoing); However, the system hangs on the screen 'Press any key to boot from the CD-ROM..' black and does not reach the blue screen with white writing. If I let the points to continue across the screen I just get the boot options for Vista or memory diagnostic utility.

The optical drive is correct: I can open the disc and run Setup (without the install option) within windows.
The disc is not serious: I installed the XP Pro SP2 on other PCs without problem

I thought it might be the problem with SATA driver, but after downloading the drivers and compiled a disc using nLite, I realized my mistake - if it will not boot from the CD what well to put the drivers on the CD?

We have several A120 at work and I can't get an any of them to start from a win XP Pro SP2 disk!

Now, I think there must be a setting that prevents the downgrade from Vista to XP: I don't have the know-how to install windows from DOS or I would try to format the drive and put the files on the hard drive and then installing that way.

Any help would be appreciated... Vista Business can be good with 3 GB of RAM, but not with one. How did the Toshiba when they put this package together?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I doubt that this question has something to do with the SATA drivers. You only need the SATA drivers on the blue screen with white letters where you can choose if you want to install XP (press enter) or you can choose the repair console (press R).
But on this screen, you will need the SATA drivers. Otherwise, the HARD disk will not be recognized.

However, in your case, I'll try another XP disc. I know the drive works in another computer but maybe your ODD does not work properly, and so it can t read any disk. Then please try another.

In addition, you should try to load the default settings in the BIOS. Maybe it works.

Have you tested another bootable disk?
    Check this please!

When I restarted, then she says the following:

    Preparation auto repair
    Diagnose your PC

    Auto repair attempt

Then at the stge small circles just continue.

I started in safe mode and activated the boot record.

    Turning off the laptop
Then press the power button and immediately after that, press the F12 button
Then you should see a screen similar to this one:

Then I recommend you to choose the option to drive HARD recovery... The last option in this menu.
This would start the HDD recovery procedure and would restore the laptop back to factory settings...
