L750 satellite fails to turn on

I had one laptop L750 but it fails to turn on.

Yesterday Toshiba task bar invites & ask me to the bios update, I tried twice and does not have both.
Then I liquidated to the bottom of the laptop.

And now, I tried to turn it on the first time after the update has failed.
But he remains silent. Only the a/c LED and battery light is on.

I tried to plug and unplug the adapter, but it still does not.

Please give some advice, thanks a lot...

Hello

When you start your laptop, press F2 and enter the BIOS settings. If you can do this BIOS setting to default and try to start it again.
When the same thing happen again try it please use F8 at startup. You can enter advanced startup options?

Also, check if you have access to the recovery image and if installation of HARD drive recovery is possible?
Check please - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm
You will find a step by step explanation how to do this.

  • L750 satellite fails to record the external DRIVE of 1 TB as a HARD disk drive

    Hello

I wonder if anyone can help with this problem?
Please excuse the absence of computer terminology!

I have a Toshiba Satellite L750/l755 (don't remember which) and my external hard drive recently failed to register as a reader. (Samsun Story Book 1 TB)

For more than a year, it has worked without problem.
Now, when I turn it on, it shows momentarily as a reader, even to the point of show files that it contained.

If I'm fast enough, I can even open one of the folders, but then the reference of the car goes with everything, and I receive a notice indicating that 'G' refers to a drive that does not exist.

Shows Device Manager hard drive external, and all, apparently, allegedly, works fine! I tried to assign a different drive letter, but nothing happens.

My laptop accepts there is a reader connected, but fails to save it as a reader!

I tried to use Knoppix to see if that could access it, but can't find where to change the bios to boot from the disk!

I am at my wits end because I'm to halfway through writing a book and everything is stored on the outside! (Yes, I know now! "It is not safe to do!)

Please can anyone suggest a solution?

Thank you very much in anticipation.
    Alec.

    > I tried to use Knoppix to see if that could access it, but can't find where to change the bios to boot from the disk!
While turn on the power, press F12 to get a menu where you can change the boot device.
Then you should be able to boot from the CD from Knoppix (or other Live bootable drive)

But have you tried to connect this drive external DRIVE on another computer?
In my view the issue looks like problem with HARD drive and no system or laptop issue.

My laptop Toshiba Satellite 2430-s255 turns off 5 minutes every time I play streaming video clips to web sites using Windows Media Player version 10.0. I have uninstall the version 10 and used version 9, but there is no difference. Computer has 512 meg of memory and 10 GB of additional space on the hard drive.

There is no problem when I play DVD using the same software.

Toshiba support has been telling me that cpu is working hard and it heats up because of this problem. I used the fan to circulate the air, but the computer still shuts off.

    Can help.

    Christiane

    HI Fanny,.

Any graphic activity will tend to make your laptop run more hot and therefore sufficient cooling.

Make sure that your airway through the CPU radiator is not clogged with dust and debris (a lot of discussions in this forum about this) and also ensure that there is sufficient air under your laptop knife get in the fan air vents.

    Hello

you are somewhat familiar with computers? If not, I suggest you bring your machine to a local service partner (http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?subs=tais)
If Yes, then firstly make a few hardwaretests. You can make them with tools like "Memtest86" for memory or "Prime95" for CPU and RAM.
This software is on a windows live cd for computer-maintenance as the UBCD4Win (Ultimate Boot CD for Windows) which contains a lot of useful tools and diagnostic programs.
    Here´s a link:
    www.UBCD4Win.com

    Other means can be:
Clean the CPU fan, try to remove the RAM (maybe), maybe the power adapter is defective or maybe the battery.
It s a little more difficult to find these things, but often it s really good to use this live-cd-system and check the system.

So, try it (or not :)) and give some information about what happened, maybe to give more detailed information about the behavior of the machine.)

  • My Satellite L555-L11 turns off suddenly very

    Hello
My satellite L555 L11 turns off very suddenly. It seems that it s because of the heat, as when it arrives, I put my hand under the laptop and feel a too high temperature.
    my laptop is 5 years
    What should I do?
    thx for you answer

I think your laptop is quite full of dust and I can imagine that cooling rack is blocked so that your laptop is unable to catch his breath.

Believe me, that cleaning can help. Best thing you can do is professional cleaning. In this case the laptop must be disassembled. Otherwise, you can buy compressed air and try to clean it.

When I try to turn it on, buy the function button, nothing happens. and when I open the connectivity wizard, it said that I could turn on the wireless.

I get the devices and everithing seems to working properly, it does seem to need all the drivers.

    Please check this thread:

I recommend that you install the latest Wlan driver for the wireless network adapter.
Also reinstall the VAP (value added package) that controls the Wlan/turn off the feature.

    Hello

Disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery.
Wait a while (a few hours) then reconnect both sides and try to turn on the unit.
If that does not help, then your laptop has developed a hardware problem and in this case the material should be checked by a local technician of ASP.

Perhaps it could be a motherboard problem.

  • L750 satellite will not connect to the TV via HDMI and stops

    Hello

When I try to connect my laptop Satellite L750 (a Conia Plasma) TV via a cable HDMI, the laptop screen turns black and becomes immune, while TV records the laptop for a second, but then said no signal. Even when I take the HDMI to the computer, the screen will remain always black, and I end up having to restart.

I tried all the HDMI ports on the TV and the different HDMI cords without change.
Other laptops will play on TV without problem and my laptop will join also the other TV more, so I'm completely at a loss as to why the two custom work together!

Also (not sure if it is relevant or not) but when I press FN + F5 to display output options, the only option available is output to LCD display. Is that means the laptop will connect only with a LCD TV?

Is it possible to change/upgrade, that?

All advice from someone who has had a similar problem or help from someone who knows how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks :)

You can use the HDMI out port in connection with all TVs and external monitor which favour the HDMI IN jack.
The HDMI isn't limited to a certain TV interface.

The FN + F5 key combination to toggle between internal and external monitor/display (if connected).

In your case, there is an open question about preinstalled system.
Do you use the operating system preinstalled by Toshiba or did you change it in the past?

If you have changed the system, the problem could be linked to the preinstalled graphics driver.

    However, my recommendation is simple:
First of all I recommend you to reinstall the graphics driver.
First uninstall the installed driver (do this in Device Manager). Then download the compatible driver from Toshiba UE driver page and perform the installation.

Now close the notebook. Switch on and press F2. Now, you need to access the BIOS.
In the BIOS, press F9 to load default settings. After that, press F10 to save the changes and exit the BIOS.
Now connect the laptop to the TV using an HDMI cable.
Turn on the TV and then laptop.
Shortly after, use the function FN + F5 keys to switch to the external video output.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite Pro L650 turns off after start; DC In and Power LEDs blink on stop

A friend Satellite Pro L650 having worked well until yesterday, all of a sudden turned itself off. Now, at startup, it lights up normally for about 10-15 seconds before turning off suddenly. Turned off, the DC in white/blue LED and the orange Power LED Flash on a broad set of intervals of approximately one second. This extinction happens if I leave Windows or press F2 to enter the BIOS setup.

I guess this blinking is intended to serve as a kind of diagnostic code, but I have yet to track down what it means. Can anyone help?

To avoid confusion, power without the product stack the same, sudden stop experience, except the two LEDs remain solidly lit this time. With or without battery, trying to turn on again immediately after that a shutdown produced no response at all. Remove the power cable and immediately it reconnect again and turn then produced a brutal power off, but in less than 5 seconds. More wait between attempts to market seems to give a little longer powered on State, but without fault, the machine turns off just suddenly. With its short time 'turned on' we are talking, there cannot be any kind of thermal protection?

I had an old Satellite L450D lying around that uses coincidentally the same AC PA-1750 adapter, but use it made no difference. Of course, the battery does not have the L650!

The only previous numbers, that I am aware of this machine have been intermittent case of Windows reporting "Plugged in, not charging", but as my friend use it exclusively on the network, it was not a problem.

Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated...

    WTF?

    What is an unmoderated forum?

Can someone help with my problem?

  • Satellite M200 screen turns off after that start & battery does not charge

Hello, I am from Jakarta, Indonesia
I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite M200 Notebook (running Windows 7 Home Premium)

After I press the power button to the top of my laptop, it works fine display BIOS and Windows startup screen.
but after that my monitor off all of a sudden when Windows is supposed to show the login screen.

    Sometimes, the monitor doesn't turn off, but shows a lower resolution (I don't know exactly what resolution, 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600, i use maybe 1280 x 800)
so the only thing I can do is, press the power button to stop bad then press power again turns on, my monitor works normally
try to stop and then turn on again in a few hours later, problems still comes once.

from the moment where I install Windows 7, I use 8.15.10.1930 version of the driver (downloaded from Download Center of Intel, which included Assistant TV Intel)
2 days ago, my friend told me that I should install the driver from the Toshiba site support, so I went to csd.toshiba.com and download the 8.15.10.1825 version of this site (which is not included Assistant TV Intel)

my monitor works normally after I installed the driver I of csd.toshiba.com, so I think that the problem because the Intel TV Wizard somehow messed with my laptop. But this morning this problem once again, my turns just monitor suddenly...

In addition, this problem seems to be my battery was unable to recharge, my completely reloaded Windows shows, but when I plugged my AC adapter,
There are 15-20 minutes before my laptop turns off automatically

Three months ago, I just brought my laptop to the local Service Center of Toshiba and bought the new motherboard to replace my old mobo (which have a VGA problem too!)
Is there something I can do (related to Windows or driver/software) or I can bring my notebook at the center of service again?
are they somehow an incorrect wiring when replacing my motherboard?
and am I need to replace my battery too?

I use this laptop for about a year and a half and there is nothing wrong with my battery before replacing the motherboard

any help would be appreciated :D

    Hello

Talk about your screen, the a graphics driver causes this malfunction with resolution and turn off. Go to the page of the toshiba driver and download the correct Vga driver for your model. I see, you are running Windows 7, if there is no driver for win7, try the vista driver.
On your power supply, you have used for the year and a half and he is released in 20 minutes, there is nothing strange. It's standard for power supply operating period, need to be replaced. Just to be sure, you can check with a new battery. You will see that the trick works as expected.

  • Front logo satellite X 200 turned off!

Hi... my bright logo of edge before Satellite X 200 just turned off and I looked everywhere, but I have no idea how to do to reactivate. Pls can you help me... Thank you

    Hello

How old is the machine? And since when the logo light up?

I think something with your hardware is not OK because this logo lights up at any time, and if it doesn't then you should find the nearest [Authorized Service Partner | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ASP_SUPPORT] and bring your machine.
