LabVIEW 2010 often crashes when deleting multiple schema objects

LabVIEW 2010f2 has been relatively stable for me so far, but I seem to crashes to the desktop exactly under the following conditions:

  • When you remove the large sections of code (= several objects selected with the mouse, including generally bad son in the selection and then pressing the delete key).

  • LabVIEW 13.0f2 crashes when text cut of some free labels on the block diagram

While reviewing the documentation of a VI, I faced a LabVIEW crash. I can reproduce it in LabVIEW 13.0f2 with the following code.  Can anyone confirm that the content 'def' Cup free label and trying to stick to the free label with "ghi" produce error 0xBC0BF185?

I can't reproduce this problem by any other cut and paste between the free labels on the left side of the BD.  The accident occurred only when 'def' cutting and trying to stick to the "ghi".

    Hi all

I looked into this, and it is more general than just the madness in the label. I dropped the CAR 442743 for this behavior. It's an accident that can occur when cut and paste text between the free labels in 2013 of LabVIEW with the disabled automatic tool. This is related to the CAR 408955 (deadlock occurs when deleting a comment with the automatic tool off) that has been corrected in the Patch of f1 2013 LabVIEW. This case was not covered by that fix and will be fixed in a later version.

    Thank you

  • LabVIEW 2009 linux crashes when editing a control, or a constant of resources VISA

Linux crashes when I click on a constant resources VISA (block diagram) or control (front).  This happens on LabVIEW 2009 SP1 32-bit for Linux on CentOS (similar to RedHat 6.3) 6.3.  I have updated drivers VISA 5.1.2 and that did not help.  Thanks in advance for any ideas of five Linux guys out there.

    Hello Jason,

My problem has been resolved with LabVIEW 2012.  To answer your question, LabVIEW would crash only trying to select another device in the list.  Thanks for your help.

  • LabVIEW 2009 SP1 crashes when moving large selection with the arrow key

If I select a lot (10 or 15) diagram components and try to move some distance with the arrow button, I'm often a program crash.  Because a reduced number of components seems to hang after a longer distance traveled, it looks like some sort of buffer overflow error.  I don't see this problem when you use the mouse to move selections.

I checked to make sure I have the latest version of the video driver for my NVIDIA Quatro FX570.  I also tried to work with no hardware acceleration and no handset, written.  What happens on Windows XP SP3 with all current updates.

It became so bad that I have to do a save as every fifteen minutes to avoid losing data.

Why not use my mouse for all movements?  Because it is not as specific and not so easy to limit to only one dimension of the movement.   My hand is not as stable as it once was.

I'm hoping someone will have a suggestion that will clear up this problem.

As I have indicated, I had the same problem with 8.5 and just DID a new install of Labview 2009.

Since it is possible that my three monitors configuration, which of course requires more memory video, may be at the origin of the problem, I am satisfied with workaround by dragging the objects closer to their final destination and then using the arrow keys.

Three monitors are ideal for the front, block and help/Internet/probe damaged.  When I got to work in the field with a single monitor, I felt severely handicapped.

You can consider the issue closed.

Thank you for trying to reproduce the failure.

  • standard XI of Acrobat crashes when opening multiple files

I have recently installed Windows (64-bit) Enterprise 10 on PC Dell Optiplex 9010 with 16 GB of RAM as a clean install.  After you have reinstalled my Acrobat Standard XI registered version that came with my scanner Fujitsu, I'm UNABLE to OPEN SEVERAL PDF FILES at the SAME TIME because of the accident.

I ran the update - running 11.0.15 version.  I also changed the screen reader Options / Page vs Document "Only read the currently visible pages", but still crashes.

Does anyone know of another parameter that must be considered when running Windows 10 so that I can open several files at the same time without crashing?

YatharthS, I found the solution in another post.

    Prototype85 , February 11, 2010 09:13 (in response to (Ilya_Zeldes))

    Solution:
    ...\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\plug_ins\
There are 3 files that you need to remove (or maybe just rar them so you always got them in case something goes wrong)
    Accessibility.API MakeAccessible.api, ReadOutLoud.api
(if this gives problems, simply delete the files with the same name and .xxx where xxx represents a certain language also)

  • Photos crash when deleting location

On his return from holiday, I imported hundreds of photos from my camera Panasonic ZS40 in Photos. The ZS40 has a built-in GPS receiver and embeds location information in each photo if available.

Seen in Photos, many (but not all) imported photos appear to have incorporated location information (the little icon 'card' is displayed in the corner down left), but photo location does not appear on the map in the information area.  A map appears, but there is no bug. On the other hand, the info box displays "looking for information about the location..." This opinion never disappears, and location of the photo never appears on the plan (which is not relevant to where the photo was taken).

I suspect that the ZS40 had not yet acquired GPS lock when these photos were taken. Maybe he wrote by default (or defective) lat/long coordinates in EXIF data structure embedded in the JPG file.  In order to correctly assign to the right place in the Photos, I clicked on Image/location/delete location, with the intention to then manually add the location where the photo was taken.  Photos promptly crashes as soon as I click delete location.

This happens every time. I have tried on dozens of different relevant photos, with the same result: pictures of accidents.

There seems to be a coding bug in the program of Photos (I don't like any more whenever I use it).

Can anyone suggest a work around with (or without) photos?

Can anyone tell me the location of the actual JPG image file which Photos has hidden somewhere in its database? (With iPhoto, it was easy to find the actual file...). If I can find the JPGs, I might be able to inspect (and perhaps correct) defective lat/long data in the EXIF data with a geo-tagging 3rd party utility.

    1.3 photos

    10.11.3 OSX

Try to manually add the correct location before removing the current location

You can export the unmodified original (menu, file == > export) and then import the corrected photos and remove all original with Photos photos, as it should

The original files are in your photo library in the Masters folder - you can see by clicking on the photo library and shows the contents of the package

BUT, be VERY well sure, you have a great current backup

It isn't really a good idea to waste time in it - there is no serviceable parts by the user in the photo library, it is not designed for human interaction and there is background and iCloud library current operations that may cause problems or even damage your library - it has never been taken in charge are smart to waste his time inside the library and with pictures it's very dangerous

and there are a few user scripts to deal with GPS - they might be useful in determineing you have or even fix - Photos for Mac

  • LabVIEW 11.0 crashes when you use Match true/false String

The world is - that sound familiar at all?

It took a while to find out that LabVIEW block VI (red arrow) is called each time.

It's weird that the VI is called once and everything works fine.

In any case, the solution is simply not using this VI, nevertheless this bug should be fixed.

In my view, LabVIEW 11.0 accidents much more often than older versions...

I broke it down a bit to the least number of required functions. CAR #360838.

Workaround as already said: a structure around the last string of true/false game parallel to the length of the string. It could be to disable the diagram, case, image of unique sequence.

    hope this helps,

  • CC of Photoshop crashes when opening multiple images

Does anyone else have this problem of PS CC crashing while trying to open multiple images? If you open a file at the same time, there is no problem, but 2 or more and it hangs as shown below. I tried with JPG, TIFF and PSD and still get the same problem.

I also tried booting while pressing ctrl/alt/shift, but still get the same problem.

PS The CC is 14.0, 32-bit version, running on Windows 7, which is updated. I have only 4 GB of RAM, that PS takes 60% of it according to the system information panel. This could be a cause, or is this a bug in the software? I've never had this problem before in CS6 or precedent.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Muse crashes when you drag an object

    Hi all

I use the latest version of Muse CC 2015. When I drag a rectangle or a form (anything else) Muse crashes. I've attached a screenshot of the error code. If you have any ideas what to do, I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.Screen Shot 2015-06-27 at 16.25.49.png

I think it's a bad connection for your internet connection while downloading muse,

can you uninstall muse from the creative application of cloud and then reinstall muse again.

    hope you find good,

  • Firefox will not save preferences & crashes when opening files

Two main issues here, but they can be linked together somehow.

First Firefox always wonder if I want to contribute to send performance data every time I open the browser. I followed all the advice in the article 'FF won't save my preferences' and vain. I have now uninstalled FF and deleted all traces (Inc. in hidden folders). Now re-installed, it does exactly the same thing and now won't save my homepage either.

Secondarily, firefox always crashes when I try and import and export bookmarks without fail. Also often crashes when you press a button download, for example gmail attachments files or post image Facebook to file. This has happened for some time and is still, even after wiping everything...

Try creating a new profile as a test to check whether your profile is the source of the problems.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.

  • LabVIEW 2010 crash when calling user32.dll

Interesting LabVIEW 2010 'characteristic', I discovered this morning.

Attached are two identical screws, a registered in 2010 and a registered in 2009.  These screws have been written specifically to demonstrate the bug, I came across this afternoon.  Each VI when it is run needs you to find a specific program (window) opened in Microsoft Windows and bring it to the foreground.  It is based on 'user32.dll' to perform this operation.  It also allows you to specify the calling convention for the function call.

LV 2009, calling convention works without error.  However, in LV 2010 the calling convention of the function must be "stdcall (WINAPI)" and not the default value of 'C '.  If the calling convention is 'C' LabVIEW hangs and then closes without warning.

If you happen to have LV 2009 and 2010 LV on your computer, I would like to hear if this phenomenon is duplicated so that I can identify if the bug is LV 2010 related or is more specific to my personal configuration.

    Thank you
