LabVIEW hangs while generating exe

Hi all

I created a project and have a main vi which works very well in the development environment. When I Isaiah to compile the exe for the same thing, LabVIEW crashes. I don't understand why. If someone could help with that, you are welcome.

LabVIEW version: 2013, 64-bit

Thank you

Prabhu

Thank you Ranjeet. I got to work, scoring remove unused files from libraries to the project. I think the problem was on the memory.

Thank you

Prabhu

What you do doesn't make too much sense. You do a lot of programmatic errors. You should learn how to properly use the Structures of the event (through the Core 1 and 2 training materials). You should put controls (action buttons, control Boolean OK) associated with a case of event in the event company. Moreover, the reason why your grip VI: in your Subvi you close the front panel of your VI via the property node, but it will still be running, you do not set a mechanism to stop the VI.

If you have not removed the old schema file, then he should have been working, but there seems to be issues with the link between the interface and the model.
I can't say this is the real reason, but it could be. Since you move the interface file data store, interface probably point to the old schema and model file point to the new schema.

I guess you must recreate the interface again. Let me know how it goes with you

  • FTP & InternetTK folders when generating exe

I have a request in LV2012 SP1 that uses FTP screws and screws of InternetTK (from the obsolete Internet TK).

When I build the application to an executable file, I find myself with 2 directories next to the exe: NI_FTP and NI_InternetTK_Common_VIs. Both have 5 screws with the same names in them (from their corresponding .lvlib, for example, 'Get case Matching.vi' or 'No. Time Out Error.vi').

In LV2011, I had not any files with screws during the construction of the same application.

Why do I get these 2 folders when generating the executable in LV2012? Is it possible to have the manufacturer request to pack these screws in the exe? I thought I had 2 screws with the same name in different lvlibs should not be a problem.

Have you checked the flag 'Use LabView 8.x file layout' (Advanced tab in the properties of generation)?

    Kind regards

    Marco

  • By using Labview 7.1 created EXE in Windows Mobile 6.0

Can I use my edition of the profeesion of 7.1 to create EXE files to run on Windows Mobile 6.0?  I created EXE files and then run directly on touch screen XP embedded without special Touchscreen Mobule.  I was wondering if this is possible under Windows Mobile 6.0?

This does not work for various reasons. First XP Embedded is just XP with more control on which modules to install and what not. Second reason, it also only works on Intel/AMD x 86 processors. So if you create an executable in LabVIEW for Windows, it will run under XP embedded too, provided that you do not access system services that have not been installed on your XP embedded system.

Laptop (or as it was earlier called Windows CE) is built in the same way as the Windows API but is not the same. Applications are only (with many limits) source compatible between laptop and normal Windows, but absolutely not binary compatible. Also all Mobile PC systems running on a RISC CPU as the ARM architecture. For these processors has compiled executable for the x 86 CPU architecture is simply a waste of bytes no meaning whatsoever.

As says altenbach that LabVIEW PDA module to create executable files for Mobile PC systems. But beware, portable PC systems are not at all comparable to desktop systems. The performance of your hardware is magnitudes less, Windows CE (laptop) API is much narrower than on the Windows desktop and PDA module also for this reason has its own limitations. Do not expect a sign before be worn flawlessly to your PDA. There is much less control to choose and also the limited screen real estate is another severe limitation on applications of port Office seamlessly to a PDA.

  • LabVIEW 2012 while the structure of the event does not stop

    I am LabVIEW 2012.

An example of a while loop with the structure of the event inside can not be stopped with the stop key, Boolean.  Something wrong?

    Please see the attached VI.

    Thank you.

Yes, something is wrong. You must add one for the event in order to detect a change in value on the stop button.

The thing is now your structure for the event rest waiting for one of the event which she handles and ight now, it handles the "close panel" event, the 'timeout' event is too manipulated, but since you do not have anything related to the terminal of timeout (top left of the structure of the event) the timeout is - 1. So, when you run the VI the while loop is stuck in the first iteration and is waiting for a sign nearby, the stop button will only take into account after that same structure intercepts an event; I think it's because LabVIEW will execute the code related to the Terminal stop of the while until after the rest of the code that he has completed execution of the loop.

    Hope this helps

  • LabVIEW FPGA while loop (first call? (VI) question

    Hi gentlemen!

I am creating a LabVIEW FPGA VI appearing in a WHILE loop. He has a first call? VI in which, in the first occurrence of the loop, a variable must be initialized to some value. However, when I incorporate the VI in the FPGA, it would seem that the first call? VI has not been called. I also tried this implementation through registers at offset where the registry is initialized outside of the WHILE loop. However, the result is always the same. May I ask how the LabVIEW FPGA functions when it comes to everything IN a loop? Thank you very much!

For some reason that I don't me remember not I avoided the use of FPGA FirstCall and instead, I use a change sign boolean, son of genuine in the terminal, on the left and a fake in the while loop to the right Terminal. As a result, you get a true for the first iteration only, in exactly in the same way that the function of FirstCall. It could even use fewer resources on the FPGA?

  • Error 1 when generating exe

I have a program that I regularly build exe from code.  In recent weeks, I've seen growing errors during construction.  Before a backup solves the problem.  The compiler complains about the error 1 for a random vi.  The file identified changes and no it have recently been updated.   With the help of LabVIEW 2011 SP1 Professional.  Did a complete reinstall of the products, OR any help.  Compilation of mass is without help.  Moving to C:\... in order to minimize the length of path is without help.  Suggestions?  -Thank you

    Message from LV...

    Error 1 has occurred to C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2011\instr.lib\rscmwws\Utility\rscmwws Reset.vi

    Possible reasons:

  • Line arguments command of VI without generating EXE

I am following this guide: Go of Arguments from the command line to an executable of LabVIEW

I want to pass arguments from command line in Windows in LabVIEW without having to build my project into an EXE.  I just want a VI that prepares to run when open.

    It's my LabVIEW code:

However when I call my VI by using the command line, I don't see my arguments-user:

    "C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2009\LabVIEW.exe" "C:\Desktop\LabVIEW Code\test.vi" - test arg1 arg2

The call above gives only "LabVIEW" as the first command line argument.  I don't see 'test', 'arg1' or 'arg2' in the array of command line Arguments.

Hmmm... It's disappointing. I just tried with LV 8.5 and it is fine with that also.

I've been running these sub XP SP3.

I guess that you have closed completely Labview before running the command line?

  • 10 error again VI Library.vi when generating .exe

It drives me crazy!  What is the cause.  The program has worked in 8.5.1 and before.  The only thing that has changed is that I had to create directories for each class in the Microsoft report generation Toolkit which has been a pain huge himself.  Building to see an EXE in LabVIEW 8.6 using Report Generation Toolkit application note for more information.  Anyway, any suggestion would be appreciated.

After having tested a lot more, I think I've identified the problem.  Our executable using Microsoft reporting tool.  Because of how LabVIEW 8.6 has implemented the box tool, it creates directories for each class to the Toolbox to avoid name collisions.  Perhaps LabVIEW should start using namespaces.  In any case, we didn't want the code to be visible for visitors.  We wanted it to be in a single executable.  So, I found an article in the knowledge base that solves the problem.  It's called "Managing the files from a build containing LabVIEW resulting Classes" and its document id is 4OKDCDES.  In any case this article says to add .llb destinations in the build so that instead of 5 directories with visible screws, you get 5 .llb.  It worked well without any problem of generation, but the article says then rename the .dll for the additional directories .llb me seems to resemble the dll.  The first time you build that this works, but if you build it again, it fails, and you receive error 10 code.  You can then build it again and it will work.  If the problem has to do with rename the extra .llb .dll.

Please mark this topic as resolved..., new questions, you can start a new Thread...

in any case, here are answers to your questions according to my knowledge

    (1) you can see your outputs in the Debug tab...

    (2) it's basically connect your JVM Simulator & do some process more to connect your JDE Simulator in debug mode, according to my knowledge... So I dnt think so you can remove it. Without connecting to your JAVA virtual machine, how you can run your program on Simulator...

  • First 13 items hangs while rendering

    Hello.

Thought, I posted this question a few days ago, but can't find it - apologies if this is a repeat.

I have a movie that is a little more than 1 hour in length. It is ready to burn to a disc. I tried to burn directly on the disc, or even burn ISO or files. Each time he crashes at the same place. No error message, the machine seems to work hard, but the progress bar stops at 39% each time.

So, I tried exporting as mpg and start a new project with just a 1 HR mpg file on the timeline, no menus, burn the ISO. Still hangs over the creation of image file.

    Any suggestions?

    I use 13 elements on windows 8.1.

    Thanks in anticipation!

Just something to think about for what then after we have checked the predefined project.

If you have problems to find the files .iso that you supposed to have been generated from the first elements 13 burn the ISO Image,

Please look at the problem with and without the preference for the Intel HD Graphics 2000 and higher disable in preferences. See Edit Menu/preferences/general.

Disable or enable this preference made the difference for many when these .iso files cannot be generated or found.

  • LabVIEW hangs with in the intensity chart

Twice this morning, LV2010 weighed ("program is not repsonding") when I tried to put a graphic on my front intesity.  In one case, I copied the graphic in an example program OR my VI.  When I tried to reposition the chart on my forehead panael, LV unresponsive.  Same thing happened when I tried again; the second time, I have the graph of the intensity of the palette of tables and graphs.  I LV 2010, version 10.0f2 and windows XP.  Thank you.

    Hello!

The following KnowledgeBase explains why this could happen.

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/9A8FB888BFCED9658625721500434A31

Basically, this table might contain a large amount of data, and when you move, LabVIEW must reorganize all this information in RAM as you move the chart. You can write smaller data, or save all data in a separate table in the table at the end of the execution so you can save it. If you want to view a chart later, simply enter it in a graph.
