LabView Sound WDM Support

Hi guys,.

Here's my situation:

I want to associate an audio interface (http://www.rme-audio.de/en_products_fireface_800.php) with LabView to lead AD (en) and DA (des) conversions. The interface, that I'm looking a WDM (windows) support.

The VI Sound says it needs Activex 8.0 and above to run. LabView would be able to communicate with the audio interface via WDM?

Let me know if I can be providing more details.

See you soon!

tjinz,

We have not all the drivers built in this interface by means of WDM, but it looks like someone has created a Toolbox that does.  This can work to connect with your audio interface: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-6613

    Hello fellow programmers.

I am an absolute beginner with LabVIEW and I have the problem that even if I installed the latest versions of the NOR-DAQmx (9.7.5) driver and LabVIEW (2013) I get the error message "LabVIEW does not support for NOR-DAQmx. Please reinstall.

I created a task in the NOT-MAX. According to the tutorial now there should be an element in LabVIEW under "Measure i/o", but it is not. I carried the task via drag & drop in the block diagram, but when I want to turn in code, I get the above message.

    Operating system: Windows XP SP3

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

    crossrulz,

Thank you for your response. Well, I installed the latest version of NOR-DAQmx (9.8) and this time I also installed packages for the former executives etc and now it works.

  • LabVIEW 2014 does support CDAQ 9136

I use LV 2014 SP1, I wanted to buy CDAQ 9136 Windows controller for one of my projects. I'd like to figure out if I can use the SP1 of 2014 LV with DAQmx15.1 in the program for this controller? User manual CDAQ 9136 does not say anything on the support of LV, just said that DAQmx 15.1 is supported.

When I tried to add a target CDAQ in SP1 LV2014 with DAQmx15.1, it does not show the CDAQ 9136. I won't use the real time of the CDAQ 9136 version, but I'm confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Nanda,

I would like to clarify the compatibility for the NOR-9136. It is compatible with DAQmx, starting with DAQmx 15.1. In other words, it can be used as a normal cDAQ chassis in any version of LabVIEW with DAQmx 15.1 or later installed (within reasonable limits). However, compatibility in real-time with the cDAQ-9136 has not introduced before LabVIEW time real 2015 module, which is only compatible with LabVIEW 2015. Thus, to use the cDAQ-9136 as a real-time controller, you will need 2015-LabVIEW and the module time real LabVIEW 2015 or later. This note can be found in DAQmx 15.1 notes for supported devices.

  • Driver LabVIEW 8.6 supports to the map of e/s multifunction PXI6071E

I have PXI6071E multifunction i/o with PXI 8176 controller card. I have used LabView 7.0, 7 RT and traditional DAQ, I could get remote connection with devices visible in MAX.

Currently I tried LabView 8.6 and DAQmx8.9, for above configuration, I could have a PXI chassis in MAX remote PXI, but I don't see a PXI Remote PXI 6071E device.

It means any body knows that can use PXI6071E with LV8.6. or to use the old version only? Or, I need to install something else?

    Hi Vishnu,

Good afternoon and I hope that your well today. Thanks for the post!

I think that LabVIEW 8.6 is supported by DAQmx 8.9. And this DAQmx 8.9 is supported by the PXI6071E.

First of all, I would make sure that you have installed on the target and included DAQmx supported for LabVIEW. I would also this installation was done, you need to install software, modules, then the drivers. I would say maybe reinstall the DAQmx driver.

  • LabVIEW base, protocols supported system of development and the basic features

    Hello

I ask this question here because I can't find that information on the web, or I get the technical support e-mail response. We are interested in acquiring a license of basis of Labview to start development to develop test for simple automation systems. The basic idea is to have a card with digital, analogue i/o, common seria interfaces: RS232, Ethernet, I2C or SPI. All this to interface HW under test.  A single port for communication with the PC (USB, Ethernet, RS232).

    We would like to know:

    (1) what protocols are supported by the Labview Base development system package.

    (2) if the license mode allows you to integrate MATLAB/C/C++ code.

    (3) in general, where a document that provides details on the characteristics of the Labview. We were not able to find a manual for it. Just this very basic with informaton purchase link: http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/no/nid/1385.

    Kind regards

    Jose

Have you looked at the page 'Buy' for LabVIEW? http://www.NI.com/LabVIEW/buy/

Basically, I think that LabVIEW base supports everything in terms of basic Windows protocols, but does not include LabVIEW RT or FPGA (for CompactRIO/FPGA targets) but you can use series, ethernet, etc. DAQmx for windows (and also the instrument 3rd party drivers). It doesn't have the enhanced math library or the application Builder so that you can not create executables/installers - you will need run your code in the development environment.

Alternatively, you can call external code .NET / C dll through the call library function node. You will not be able to incorporate Mathscript, because it is only in the complete edition upward.

  • Problem out 5.1 Surround sound via the TV to a Home Theater (Override sound formats supported?)

Hi, I'm trying out a sound 5.1 on my Home Theater system via my TV via a digital output optical. So the video card (Asus EAH5450) is capable of up to 7.1 output, is connected via HDMI to my TV (a LG 47LH5000) which then returns sound via an optical digital output to my Home Theater 5.1 system (a LG HB965TZ). I have an Xbox 360 connected via HDMI to the TV and sound 5.1 is delivered perfectly to the correct speakers.

The problem, in my view, is that the computer detects that it is connected to the TV that tells the PC there 2 speakers, so the sound of Windows 7 configuration menu displays just stereo and dolby digital.

Is it possible to substitute the detection automatic that the supported formats and force the card to output 5.1 sound as I know, he is capable of?

    Thank you

    Hello

Try to follow the instructions to apply the sound card settings and check if it helps:

    Hello

I have a library of Labview 8.2 as the great work when I'm using the development environment. However when I change to the execution environment Labview 8.2 all vi that exist in the vi.lib (which is part of the development system) could not be found by the runtime of labview 8.2. How can I use the runtime engine and access the vi that are in the vi.lib. I tried to register the library using the hierarchy, but that does not save the screw of vi.lib

    Anyone seen this before?

    Hello

Thanks for the info. It seems I have to create an exe file if I want to use the runtime engine. I just use the Labview 7.1 environment that did not require an exe.

  • Support of NI CompactRIO for LabVIEW 2015 missing

    Hello

I have one NOR cRIO 9038 I want to use for a project, but I continue to have problems with incompatible software. I downloaded the two 64-bit LabVIEW, CompactRIO 15, FPGA Xilinx tools, FPGA Module OR and then 32-bit LabVIEW. All these components are updated in the Service Manager OR.

I am trying to learn to use this device, and I am going through the guide of http://www.ni.com/compactriodevguide/ where the first example is a Turbine including different screws when you open the files it succesfully scans and all the screws under loads, but only at the opening, I get the following error message

Here is a view of the software installed in my MAX

Looking for 'The NI CompactRIO for LabVIEW 2015 drivers Support' brings me to this page http://www.ni.com/download/ni-rio-15.0/5363/en/ which I already downloaded and installed.

How can I solve this problem?

    Thank you

EDIT: also miss me cRIO sample projects referenced by the guides NOR as a good starting point for any new application. They must be visible when I want to open a new model/sample. Is a further indication that I'm missing something - or should try to reinstall? Simply, I can't understand what it is that I might be missing.

You also have LabVIEW Real-time and LabVIEW FPGA installed? You probably need to install those before the CompactRIO drivers. I don't know if LabVIEW RT/FPGA is supported in LV 64-bit - it does not look like it does in LV 64-bit in your screenshot MAX.

Edit: Sometimes the installation order can be important - LabVIEW/FPGA/RT first and then the CompactRIO drivers - you might want to do a reinstall and see if that sorts it.

  • "Languages: language ' not supported in this version of labview

    Hello

I'm changing with the labels on the front of my vi, depends on which version of the language of the environment LabVIEW Runtime was installed.

To check which language I'm currently using, I tried the 'VI' type property node class "languages: Current Language. When running, I was told that LabVIEW does not support this...

Is it because I'm using LabVIEW Base or am I missing something?

    Hello Pete

One of my friends has a Tecra 8200 running Windows XP Home edition, but SP1and everything works correctly. I really don' t understand why the its doesn't work.

Sorry, but this unit is not supported for Windows XP Home edition, and it is not easy to say why the Board its doesn't work properly. If all goes well, another forum user has more experience.

I tried to follow this tutorial with the USRP 2932, coming soon, but I found out later that I have seem to have none of the LabVIEW Communications. No not those who prevent me from using the USRP radio? If not, then is there any restrictions on what I can do with the radio without communication?

    Hi BreadLB,

The link to the tutorial you posted is based on LabVIEW Communications System Design Suite, a new software environment designed to accelerate the prototyping of the algorithm and stable air.  It is a completely separate and independent of LabVIEW environment.  See my post here for more details.  You can also download a free 30 day trial copy here.  Your hardware is supported with LabVIEW and LabVIEW Communications.

The 2932 NOR is a network based USRP, and there a small on-board FPGA.  For this reason, the FPGA on that specific product is not a target of LabVIEW FPGA.  The NI 294 x / 5 x family has a large Kintex 7 FPGA and can be programmed using LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW Communications, as in the tutorial you posted.  The 2932 OR can be used with your host PC and LabVIEW for a variety of applications.  Unfortunately the tutorial that you have linked to your post requires the NI 294 x / 5 x hardware and Communications of LabVIEW.  If you have questions about a specific application for your 2932, please post more details and we would be happy to help you.

  • How can we change the TCP/IP ports used by LabView?

I'm under LabView 8.2 on a computer running windows XP sp2.  This computer is connected to a compact RIO via Ethernet.  The system works very well, but now I am trying to add an IP intercom function (acoustic digital ii3) this intercom uses a program called talkMaster to communicate with the host computer.  I can't communicate with the intercom because this program needs of ports 3000,3002,5000 and 5006.   I used a program called Currports to see what ports are used, and a program called lkcitdl.exe (National Instruments Logos product name) uses port 5000.  Is there a way to change this? I contacted digital sound technical support and they said there is no way to change it at their end.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Jason

I believe that we have an article on this somewhere, but I don't have a link at the moment. Under Windows, you can set the port range used by the protocols of Logos in the registry. Reach

    HKLM\Software\National Instruments\Logos\Ports

You will find two values DWORD here, FirstClientPort, and FirstServerPort, which defaults to 5000 and 6000 respectively. Logos will search for the first available port in the range [FirstClientPort, FirstClientPort + 1000] or [FirstServerPort, FirstServerPort + 1000] when starts a server or a client. By adjusting the registry, you should be able to find a port range that does not conflict with your software. You need to restart all programs OR after you make this change (probably easier to simply restart the computer).
