Lack of Audio in DV file Type conversion in Streamclip

Hi all

Thanks in advance for your help.

I would ask your opinion on the conversion of VOB files from a file type that I can edit with Adobe Premier elements v13 software:

My goal is to use a file type that will provide the best video quality while being effective to change.  I use "MPEG Streamclip", and when I convert in the file type "DV" I lose sound completely.  When I converted to "MPEG with MPEG2 audio" the sound is OK but I understand that this type of file will be less effective to change.

Do you know why I'm losing audio when converting to the file type "DV"?

How can I get the converted file to the recommended with the audio intact preserved DV file type?

Thank you

Scott

Try my suggestion. I think that you will find it easier and better.

With respect to the duty to work with several VOBs, which can be simplified to. In the future, when you want to use the video to a DVD, place the DVD in the hard disk of your computer and use Add Media / camera DVD or disc to "rip" files from the drive on your computer. You can even choose to have all files on the disc directly added to your calendar. It is much simpler and it helps you to avoid dealing with the VOB files that do not include the video you want or don't include any video at all.

Of course, I guess that the video that you are ripping the DVD is not a commercial DVD. Protected DVDs, commercial have other issues.

Reason why I ask this is I just do a fresh install of Windows XP with SP2 and I installed SP3 after that on an old computer that was in need of a new facility. I continued to get the AutoPlay window I went to the CD and DVD players and set everything to TAKE NO ACTION. I wonder if I made a mistake by doing this. I was half way tempted to do the same for drive C, but I did not.  Is there something I can do to correct what I do that I should not have?

The [NONE] you're referring to means that there are has file extensions associated with things such as Audio CDs, disks and DVDs.

A "file extension" is the 3-(4-parfois) part of a file name that comes after the period character.  For example, in "Document.doc" file extension is doc.

Made settings were - as you noted correctly - in the AutoPlay dialog box.  These settings determine what Windows does when a removable storage device is connected.  Depending on the type of multimedia content detected on the device, you can choose from a variety of "Manipulative Autoplay" to deal with this content.

"Take no action" is not a bad default.

If you want to change your mind, open my computer and right-click on the icon for a CD/DVD/USB device and select the tab "Autoplay".  You can choose from a variety of types of "content" and then choose which application should open.  For more flexibility, TweakUI--> http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/windows-xp or see

    Hello

You need to open ZIP files, which are compressed to make it smaller, then use the content
in the application appropriate - so if the audio or video content can use WMP.

Compress and uncompress files (zip files)

    Hi Bbdunford,

O what is the file format?

O if it works well before?

Today, there are hundreds of audio and video codecs in use. Some were created by Microsoft, but the vast majority of codecs have been created by other companies, organizations or individuals. By default, the Windows operating system and the player includes a number of the most popular codecs, such as MP3, Windows Media Audio and Windows Media Video.

There might be times, however, when you want to read the content that is compressed with a codec that does not include Windows or the default player. In many cases, you can download the necessary codec on the web for free or for a fee. And, in some cases, the player can automatically use the codecs installed by other reading programs and the creation of digital media on your computer.

You may encounter this error message for the following reasons:

    1. the file type is supported by the drive, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the player.

2 - the file might have been encoded with a codec that is not supported by Windows Media Player. If this is the case, Windows Media Player cannot play the file.

You can try the steps and check if it makes a difference.

    1. in order to determine what codec was used with a specific file, play the file in the player, if possible. When the file is playing, right-click the file in the library, and then click Properties. On the file tab, look at the sections of video codec and Audio codec.

2 download and install Codecs by clicking on the PLAYER tab and check. To connect to the Internet and automatically download Codecs player

    3. configure the protocol settings

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Network tab.

In the Streaming protocols area, select all the check boxes Protocol.

When connecting to a server running Windows Media Services, Windows Media Player tries to use all selected protocols.

  • Create another data base of Liquibase changelog: automatic data type conversion

I need to convert the structure of PostgreSQL databases to Oracle. In PostgreSQL, I a postgres database.

In Oracle, I have an empty database in which I want to write to postgres database in PostgreSQL.

Actually, I didn't need the data, only the structure (relationships).

For this, I use Liquibase. I get the changelog of PostgreSQL with the command:

    Liquibase.

    -driver = org.postgresql.Driver.

    --classpath="C:\db_drivers\postgresql-9.3-1102.jdbc3.jar------.

    --changeLogFile="./postgresql_changelog.Xml------.

    -url = "" jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432 / postgres "\"

    -username = schema_name_here.

    -password = *.

    -logLevel = debug.

    -defaultSchemaName = Ms.

    generateChangeLog

After that, I try to create objects in the Oracle database:

    Liquibase

    -driver oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver =

    --classpath="C:\db_drivers\ojdbc14.jar".

    --changeLogFile="./postgresql_changelog.xml".

    --URL="JDBC:Oracle:thin:@ip_here:orabeta".

    -username = *.

    -password = *.

    Update

    Does not work: ORA-00902

Here is a fragment of postgresql_changelog.xml:

    ...

    < changeSet author = '(generated) Alexey' id = "1409146335011-53" >

    < create table tableName = "TABLE1A" >

    < column name = "total_pk" type = 'INT8' >

    < forced nullable = "false" / >

    < / column >

    < column name = "form_fk" type = 'INT8' >

    < forced nullable = "false" / >

    < / column >

    ...

I also generate a pure SQL file:

    Liquibase

    -driver oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver =

    --classpath="C:\db_drivers\ojdbc14.jar".

    --changeLogFile="./postgresql_changelog.xml".

    --URL="JDBC:Oracle:thin:@ip_here:orabeta".

    -username = *.

    -password = *.

    updateSQL > update.sql

Here is a fragment of update.sql:

    ...

    CREATE THE TABLE SCHEMA_HERE. TABLE1A (total_pk form_fk INT8 INT8 NOT NULL,.. .etc);

    INSERT INTO SCHEMA_HERE. TABLE1A (ID, $form_id,... etc.)

    ...

I want to generate the file, in which all the data types correspond to the target database, that is to say I want to create. I can write a simple parser that replace the data types, but this isn't the right solution - can be a lot of data.

It is possible to get changelog from a database and update another database on a different server this changelog RDBMS? I need to get the automatic and Automatic data type conversion generate XML data / SQL output with the data types of target database.

Or maybe there is an option to generate output data types with "abstract"? That is to say with data types that are not in the actual databases, for example, instead of INT8 - whole, etc.

I would be very grateful for the information. Thank you all.

Why not to use pg_dump to extract the schema in a file of script that you can then 'change '?
