Lack of integrated old HP printer printer driver

Hello

I have 2 computers to Windows 7 which I want to install my old network printers HP OfficeJet G85 (with Jetdirect 300 X) + HP LaserJet 4050N. None of them are taken in charge by HP more (and universal HP PCL5 or PCL6 driver does not seem to print correctly).

1 computer (Win7 Pro ~ default installation): after you specify the IP address of each printer, Windows directly printers recognized and proposed the corresponding printer driver. Print fine.

Computer science 2 (Win7) company with probably custom gpo: After indicating the IP address of each printer, Windows comes to shows me the window with the list of the printer models left & right, printer manufacturers but neither OfficeJet G series or LaserJet 4050 Series is available.

No idea what causes the difference between the 2 systems?

Any way to recycle drivers (.inf & .dll) computer 1 computer 2?

Kind regards

Gauthier

Share the printer on 1 PC to the network.

Add the printer on 2 PC in steering it towards sharing on PC 1.

Install the printer by getting the driver of PC 1 PC 2. I say should because that's the way it works normally, but in theory 2 PC should recognize that it has drivers already.

Once the printer is set up to go to the printer properties and add a new port (TcpIp, Jetdirect) using the direct IP address. Make sure the default port.

As you have already tried to implement, you may need to remove 1 port directly.

  • Problems with Vista OS SP2 after automatic updates: using OneCare; application of integrated keylogger HP CPU "HP SDP" made by IBM in Durham, North Carolina (?); corrupted Samsung print driver downloaded from the website of the company

    Entered possible hacker:

    1. techie OneCare WINS access - probably not unauthorized and do not believe it causes always provided a quality service, but they have had access in the past.

2 HP technicians - have had access to my computer once - did a good job with computer crash (not sure cause), but tried to sell me more HP products when I have no money...

    3. after the technicians HP did good job with crash, started to have pop-ups keep HP application that appeared as an add-on that works without permissions on my computer. Google the name of the HP SDP application > recovered information said program is IBM in North Carolina. Called them. Nobody gives any information on the program until I got ahold of a person who gave me the phone to techie Dept. It took all day. Not have not yet contacted technology because they have closed before I could call.

    4. called HP to inquire about the search info from HP SDP. on his goal? HP said he works as a keylogger you sell stuff. But what was weird is after the system crashed and repaired, there was one day that he has opened three times in ten minutes! Then after that I indicated HP where I found information on this program, the program disappear from the list of "run without permissions" in internet options explore > manage add-ons > run without the permissions list

    5. one day, I'm working on a word document, and the printer stops abruptly, impression. No amount of turn, or by clicking 'Cancel' will get doc from the printer queue. MS literature said this could be a security issue. The printer says "printing of documents", but no printing at my end.

This problem is compounded when I delete browsing history and try to refresh the internet Explorer. That activity seems to take pieces of the program Samsung printer with it, even if I had excellent results in the past with Samsung printers and their downloads, and I never had the damaged printer driver to exercise this activity in the past.

If I didn't have a short term in the Court of appeal in a week, I would say it's a question of OS, or program problem, but it's as if something falls down as soon as another issue is fixed and the unusual behavior of the computer, more timing and the purpose of the brief to me 90% sure that this is a pirate or a virus the surplus of the Samsung driver deleted pieces being left on my machine after uninstall.

    Dear Karena R,.

Thanks a lot for your excellent advice. The Techies MS OneCare fixed the popup of HP before I read your message. (I was remiss to check my email...). I'll follow the instructions you sent me and am running the OneCare security right now, online scanner that I already know an excellent and effective tool because it has repaired my MS operating system and programs after that I accidentally deleted parts of the operating system by removing a .dll file, I need or such a thing! I also wanted to thank you for the information about the object of the HP SDP pop-up window. I saved your instructions on how to remove this case, the pop up appears again. One thing I noticed is that, after removal, some keys on my keyboard don't work, and I've read that other HP users encounter the same problem with the keys on the keyboard. The keys that seem to be affected are the keys that automatically open and close the door of the CD burner. Not a problem, because it is another way to open and close the drawer. It's one that HP must improve. In regards to your advice on the printer driver you have been 'right on' new! I reinstalled the driver using my own CD (not the latest driver, but one that works!) I think that the problem with the update of the Samsung driver that I downloaded from the Web site doesn't have some kind of problem. It is very unusual for a driver to Samsung, because I got excellent results with printers Samsung and free updates downloaded from their Web site. The first Samsung printer I had worked so well, for so long as the small rubber roller that takes the paper and it feeds through the printer wore out until the printer is, literally in a 100,000 pages printed after that I bought for about $80.00 dollars! So, I went out and bought another one, and that's what I use now. The printer works fine now, except for some reason, the icon in my taskbar notification area, allow to check the printer the status of jobs, cancel or repeat printing as before. Once. from time to time, a job stuck in the queue for the printer and will not erase unless I unplug the printer from the central unit. Nor will it print. But since I reinstalled the driver, this has happened only once. With the downloaded update, it happened all the time. It is possible that my OS is misconfigured, but I started to run the routine tune ups and analyses using OneCare and unless I used to defragment. I learned that the defragmentation of the hard disk too can cause problems also. The last thing is, I think that sometimes, tiny files needed to run my OS and files other programs can be sent to my temporary folder by accident. MS still once, All_Knowing computer, somehow recognizes the files I need and pushes me to ignore them, but perhaps it does not work for non-Microsoft like Adobe programs. I will use the link in your message to run the fix with the printer driver just to see if it works. If it is not the case, I can always reinstall the driver with my CD that came with the printer. Thanks for the excellent and informative tips and forgive me if I do not respond sooner!

    Sincerely,

Looks like it can do what you want.

If you don't already have it, download v5.2cA if you have 32 bits, or v5.5aAs if you have 64-bit Windows and install in XP or Vista compatibility mode.

  • Windows 8: need for Canon Laser Shot LBP-1120 printer driver

I turned on my printer, the other day for the first time since the installation of Windows 8, and nothing happened.

XP drivers I used do not work, or no Vista I found drivers.

Does anyone has experience of this printer with Windows 8, or may suggest a compatible driver please?

    For the record:
I did it. In fact, it is possible to connect a lasershot 1120 Windows 7 x 64 machine.
This should work for win8, don't test that but this guide could still be useful. Not for the faint of heart, however, you must be comfortable with your operating system.
    Here goes:
You need virtual machines for this race of win xp.
Download the integration for the printer modules.
the usb section it should list as shared. Change the connect, disable it in Windows 7.
Install the drivers for Windows XP in the VM through devices > new printer. Those of your original download copy on the virtual disk before their execution. Note that the winspool service crashes. Restart services whenever he does. Check the usb device back to shared. Reconnection in case of failure. To do this, it seems a lot. There is a known bug in the canon CAPT pilot to crash the spooler by the UMBus enumerator service. Because of the virtual machine, you can not fix this. I'm sorry.
Make sure to get the solution of prevention dep canon and install it as well. It's an exe located on the site of canon driver. Only, it'll work when or is in place. At this point, I have made a link to the desktop for system services. To save you the trouble to go to the config.
When everything is installed, you must stop and restart.
With the printer connected and good start win XP virtual.
Spooler crash, nevermind. Go to start > programs > startup and delete the canon statusthingy.
change the settings for usb devices connected.
Check printing devices, it should show the lbp1120. The opening he does fail, no spooler.
restart the or an once more.
Check once again, opening the printer lbp must now produce the windows printer box with its 'ready' status Note that the canon tray printerthingy report normally used, but you should now be able to print things to him.

Note: it took me a long time, juggle with win xp, or restarts, reinstall the drivers, etc...
You must be determined enough to make it work as the virtual machine is slow, restaring it takes forever and the final result is still imperfect, you have to do the whole routine restart or after the virtual Windows XP startup whenever you need.

Now, once you've got liftoff is the printing process:

    -connect the printer
    -Start win XP virtual machine
-USB > camera Canon CAPS > connect
-Restart the printer spooler in: Config > System Management > System Services > or > start
-Open the document and print it

Complicated way to do it, but I use this printer for manufacturing toner-transfer method custom circuits and this way I don't have to put my designs on USB and start ye olde win XP on another pc.
Still I had some good fun breaking the problem :-)

  • Reduced with the universal print driver in Windows 7 manual duplex function

On March 13, 2013, I downloaded the last PCL 6 Universal Printer driver for my Laserjet CP1518NI printer.   Manual duplex printing is now a mess!  In Windows XP, duplexing manual was available for Microsoft documents, but for them, it worked: if I chose to print on both sides, a pop-up window seem to remember to press 'OK' on the printer when it was time to print the second side. I could close this window without affecting the driver himself things correctly configured: he printed the pages first, in reverse order, collected if necessary and rotation so that when this side is complete, all I had to do was take pages on the output tray in put them directly in the input tray and then press OK on the printer, and the other next printed pages, in good order and the correct orientation.

Here's the worst: when you print a double-sided Word file, I now get a BOX of DIALOGUE MICROSOFT WORD asks me to press "OK" in the dialog box, not on the printer, when you are ready to start printing the second side.  With an open dialog, I can't work with other Word files to the end of the first side printing.

Is then the settings: apparently, I need to change the settings manually (not what I planned "Manual" Duplex would!) to learn how to print the first side (even pages) in reverse, reverse order / rotation, then the second side (odd pages) in normal order do not hit?  Do I have to change the settings before printing the second side?

If I don't make all the settings myself, it just prints odd pages in the wrong direction and DISORDER.  If I do all the settings myself, which is exactly the pilot done for me, other than preventing me from working on other documents, the document while current is printing?

I'm especially disappointed because the old driver worked very well.  I just updated the driver because of what turned out to be another problem.  Sigh.

In reading the manual. on page 35, it describes how to enable the feature if you have not already:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01070718.PDF

According to the available information this process should not be performed by the driver. However, as I said above, almost all the settings you described I not know can be defined in MS Word. Back to history versions of the drivers, I see the same types of drivers that have been developed for Windows XP and the information I have shows that this function must not have changed.

In addition, similarly, you should be able to allow printing of greys through the preferences of printer or the printer properties Advanced.

I would like to know if this helps!

  • Printer driver crashes when printing with Office 2013/8 64-bit Windows

    Printer: HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi

Printer driver: V5.1 (to date, downloaded from the HP support Web site) or generic V5.6

    OS: Windows 8 Professional 64-bit

When I try to print an Excel document with Excel 2013 and V5.1 printer driver, the program freezes and must end with the Task Manager. This always occurs with the same document, but not with all the documents. Program also crashes when opening the preview before printing to the same document.

The same document prints fine with V5.6 generic print driver and with the driver supplied with Windows 8.

The same document prints fine with the driver version 5.1 on Windows 7 and Office 2010. The combination of Windows 7/Office 2013 has not been tested. Windows 8/Office 2010 combination has also not been tested.

When I try to print an empty document with the word 2013 and the generic printer V5.6, the program driver crashes and must end with the Task Manager.

My conclusion is that the HP printer drivers have a problem with Windows 8 or office 2013 or a combination of both.

The printer driver supplied with Windows 8 and is installed automatically is useful as a temporary workaround, but it lacks some options, e.g. manual duplex.

Upon request, I am ready to send the Excel document by e-mail for verification of the problem.

For any help or suggestion will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    ULI

It worked!  Thank you very much.

Where others have difficulties to find the offending setting, here's another way to track him down.

    -> control Panel-> devices and printers-> (select printer-> right mouse)-> printer properties-> settings-> tab Installable Options (bottom)-> Printer Status Notification-> change on 'off '.

  • HP LaserJet 4100: Problem with the universal print driver

    Desktop: HP Envy 700-214

    OS: 10 64-bit Windows

Printer: HP LaserJet 4100 (with a USB to parallel cable)

I was able to properly use my LaserJet for Windows 8.1 through my Windows 10 crossing (which I upgraded to about 18 months ago).  Quite recently, I welcomed Windows Installer a upgrade, and at this time there, I lost my ability to print.   It has been on my default printer, but gave an error message when I tried to print.

I tried to "Add a printer" and selected the HP 4100 connected to the LPT1 port.  It would not print a test page, and the printer does not like in the reception of data.

I then tried to install the (PCL6 and Postscript) universal print driver with similar lack of results.

I tried uninstallinDeg and reinstall the drivers, but once again no joy.  Incidentally, although I'm going to Device Manager > printing queues and remove the drivers, when I set up an application like Word and select the Menu printing, many copies of drivers rest yet.  When I go to remove them using the printui/s/T2, it is said that they are currently in use and cannot be deleted.

Yet once again, I repeat - it is not a hardware problem because everything worked well before Windows upgrade.  I just need to find a way to reinstall a driver who will speak to my printer.  It of frustrating because I was able to do that before, but may not know what I am doing wrong.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello GaryLynn,

You saw did a lot of things to try to solve this issue.

However the USB to parallel isn't anHP officially supported connection type.

in any case, what suggests I´d, is that you try this:

    • Unplug the hybrid cable that you use
    • Uninstall all copies of the printer and its duplicates.
    • Stop the print spooler by using the services on windows (type on cortana services.msc) locate print spooler and stop it
    • Go to run and coil type, look at the Printers folder and delete all the files that are there (if any)
    • Restart the spooler to print services.
    • Download and install this driver package
      http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?swItemId=FP-148007-1
    • Turn on your printer and connect the cable.

After this exercise, check to see if windows 10 has managed to find the best driver to use your printer.
If widows did not automatically find it, try the manual on add a Printer Wizard.

If not reading as LPT1, check ports either USB00 ' # ' or a port DOT4, those who should be the ports to use.

I hope this helps you get your printer going again.

    Thank you

    Hi Mocanu,

Looks like you're right. It might not be a complete driver of features still to the all-in one HP Inkjet 915, but looks like there could be a BONE or integrated driver, which you can download. Go to installation and using the built-in Windows print driver for the steps.
