  Once you apply security or limiting parameters to a PDF document in Acrobat Pro ms (desktop application), the PDF document will be encrypted.

  Acrobat Reader mobile apps (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) have the known limit where the changes cannot be saved in encrypted PDF documents.  As a result, users are unable to make changes (for example to fill in forms or add annotations/comments) to PDF documents encrypted in applications of Acrobat Reader, even if the document restrictions are defined to enable the filling of forms or comments.

  On the other hand, there is no such limitation in the desktop version of Adobe Reader, Acrobat Pro, or Acrobat Standard.

  If you plan to distribute your PDF form to all users of a desktop application and mobile, it's best to ignore them apply restrictions or security settings.  Otherwise, the Acrobat Reader mobile app users will find the unusable form.

  Or your books and PDFs in iBooks on your Mac is stored in a hidden in your user library folder if you have activated sync iCloud for iBooks.

  You can reveal this folder using the Terminal.  Open a Terminal and copy and paste this command in the window, exactly as written, then press return.  It will open the folder hidden on your Mac, where the iBooks are synchronized in iCloud.

  Your workflow is a recipe for disaster. While InDesign tends to be fairly stable and continuous 'recycling' of output files can cause the accumulation of cumulative long-term corruption of minor which eventually led to the failure.

  A newspaper must be based on the template file that contains master pages for various configurations of page, static content, and all required styles. Each number must be a fresh document based on the template. You can probably safely copy and paste continuous content such as ads from number to number, but I prefer to place them in the fridge.
