Lack of power?

Dear users of machines,

I D10 that has SAS 15 K with win 7.

But, it can not turn on, not even the bios screen.

Originally, when the power cable is in the machine, the noise of the fan comes on about 5 sec, and then I can turn it on.

After the first start, the fan noise down again for 20 dry and calm.

However, it does not sound fan after plugging in the power cord and never stops the fan noise after having turned it on.

I remove all the misc and reinstall them for help, but the symptom is the same.

Have you guys any idea with this problem?

I'd really appreciate it if you give an idea with that.

Thank you for your time of reading.

  • Lack of power on Portege M200 USB

I found a few posts on this topic but nothing that gives a definitive explanation of how to solve the problem of the lack of adequate power to the USB ports on my M200.

I have a burner DVD of LaCie which works perfectly satisfctorily on other computers when it is powered by USB, but does not on my M200.
I also tried to use a simple box of HARD disk with a hot spare in there and it does not work either.

I tried some of the suggestions from other threads like by unchecking the box "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in the tab properties for the USB hub root in Device Manager. and I've updated the drivers available.

    What else to do?

    Hello

What of the external USB hub with own power?
My brother uses a USB external 300 GB HARD drive, and this feature works only if the external USB hub is connected between the HARD drive and laptop computer from other manufacturers.

I think it could be a similar problem with your external burner.

  • Portege 3490CT - lack of power supply connector

Well, I did something really stupid and tripped on the feeder for the laptop. He seems to have pulled the plug and gave him a questionable link. Does anyone know the less expensive/better way to solve this problem, because I don't really want to trade it yet he is very picky.

Seems to work better if you can pull the plug upwards. I he had to open but could not see anything that obviously had been damaged.
    Any ideas?

This looks like a connection jack power failure. Maybe the cable is lose.
I think that it s not easy to solve these issues without any experience.
I would recommend the service partner Toshiba asking for help.

  • Lack of power - the password

I have a Compaq NC6400 computer and lost power - on password and you are looking for a way to restore it or reset it.  I appreciate any idea to fix it.  Thank you!

    Hello:

You can try it and if it doesn't, then severe of security has been put in the BIOS, and you need a new motherboard to access the BIOS.

See page 1-4 on the below maintenance manual.

Leave the CMOS battery for 30 minutes no 5.

It is very important that you only start the PC after you do this procedure with the connected a/c power, NOT battery.

  • Taskbar icon battery lack of power management options after upgrade to Windows 7

    Hello

I just upgraded to Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit on my HP dv4t laptop.

Under Vista, when I left click on the battery icon on the right side of the taskbar (next to the clock), I would see three power - recommended HP options, saving energy and high performance. It was excellent. Click on the stack, click the option to that I actually wanted.

I have just upgraded to Windows 7. When I left click on the battery icon, I see only 2 power options - one that is currently active and HP recommended. That means whoever I want to never in the list. You see, I don't use never HP recommended, and if Power Saver is active, it is in the list... but if Power Saver is selected and I want to spend, which is why I must click the icon of the battery in the first place, it is because I want to choose something else than the day before.

This suppression of the feature is frustrating. How can I get the three points to be in the list yet? If not, how can I remove HP recommended in the list?

    Thank you!
    Eric

    Ericpdx,

It is a feature, which was invited in many forums in the days of Beta version. We didn't get no answer or how to reactivate. We thought, Windows 7 RC will come with this missing feature, but in any case it didn't.

It was posted in a forum, a member who needed too (I don't know why). I agree that this is not a direct solution for the functionality you want. I just posted, if this can help you in any case.

  • iPhone 6 has ran out of battery juice, but won't turn on after connecting the power cable.

    Hello.

I have an iPhone SIMless 6 (iOS v9.3.2) who missed the battery nothing to juice and turn off the power. I plugged the white USB power cable to a Windows laptop, but nothing happened. No power on, sounds, etc. I even tried another power cable and the source (power supply AC adapter and cable for the iPad). I don't even know if it is supported or not.

    Thank you in advance.

If it is disabled on its own because of lack of power, it will take some time before he can return to the top.

Plug it in and leave there for at least 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Upgrading power supply

I recently bought a new video card and when I installed it, I got nothing but a screen empty. I was told that I may need to upgrade from my diet. I have a Compaq presario 6000 model 6ZPXE2 and it has a 220 watt power supply inside. I don't know what my card needs power is a NVida GForce 512 MB AGP and I was wondering if I can upgrade and what information and precautions I need to know. Is it possible to upgrade up to 300. 350 or 400 watts?

Hello spunnie, I checked the specifications of your video Nvidia GeFrorce 512 MB AGP 6600GT card.

It shows that it takes a 300W power supply minimum system for this video card.

This lack of power supply of power can indeed be the reason that the system shows no video, but it could also be that the card itself could be faulty. I bought many items off of eBay that have delivered to me and prove to be defective.

To be honest, I also received many items in good condition as shown.

I would say at least a power of 400 watts, many being somewhat underated power supplys.

You can search for a power supply with the 400 watt or capacity so that physically gets in your case.

You may need to cut the existing power, at least enough to get some measures in this regard, without disconnecting the cables if you can.

With all these devices installed on your system, now I'm really surprised, that it would not even start with the current power of 220 watts. You are just as, or even above the maximum of the existing 220 watt PSU.

    I hope this helps.

  • P1005: Incompatible printer power button

I love my HP P1005 printer, but lately, the power button does not turn it until I have tap several times, sometimes in angling of my pressure upwards, downwards or sideways.  Still, it lights up eventually and stays on until closing down.  Is there a way to fix this?

    Hi @Breezer,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are having problems on power button on your HP LaserJet P1005 Printer. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I can understand how frustrating, it would be for you. Looks like there is a short circuit in the power button connection or a lack of power in general.

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.

    • Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

If you have completed the previous steps and your product still has a problem, service the product.

Contact HP for service in all countries except Asia-Pacific.
First, check your product warranty to check your warranty printer status and then go to contact HP support to find an authorized dealer or to schedule a repair.
Cost of repair out-of-warranty printers may apply.
What you can do, is to use the following link to create yourself a file number, then call and it can help to expedite the appeal process:

Step 2. Enter the product number or select Auto detection

  • 7000n: power supply for scanner HP 7000n

Got a scanner 7000n with lack of power.

Anyone who can give the plug for the power required?

The connector is slightly unusual one, but that should be possible to work around.

It has 3 pins - if someone can supply what voltage goes on which pin that would be outstanding!

Or if there is a replacement part available HP which is an option too, have not been able to find that so far well.

    Thank you.

Some additional Googling turned up this:

  • HP A6200N PC not start correctly... Think it has to do with the power supply

I have a HP A6200N PC, I got it for cheap of Craigslist-don't judge me, $25 for him and he lacked only RAM and a HDD, the guy said that he has had this problem once and corrected, but do not remember that it was over a year ago. The back of the system flashes, but when I try to start it, nothing happens... I installed RAM and put in a temporary HDD, but even when the back of the system flashes and I can hear a small ticking... Any help?

If by "the back of the system flashes" you mean the PSU led that should be an easy fix. The led must be constantly green. Blinkink means there was a lack of power and it closes to protect the PC.

Follow the instructions in this document to reset the PSU.

When to replace the modules of memory be sure to install compatible modules.

    Best regards
