Lack of something basic - what should be my model the network settings?

Well, I think Miss me something very basic here.

I have a virtual machine that is a model.  Its currently cancelled and unreleased.

I have also configured a physical "network on a vSwitch appropriate and he gave a 10 IP addresses pool suitable for the VLAN its on.

Deploy my VM to implement.  What network invited my VM settings should be assuming that I use networks entirely closed with connectivity/exit.  DHCP?  A static address?  with what parameters/network/gateway?  One in the meantime, what I posted above?  How will enter into conflict?  One outside this range of pool but still valid for the VLAN?

Sorry for the newb question, but it does not appear in textbooks...

When you have set up the physical network, you have defined addressing IP (IP - pool, - manual and DHCP IP) when you deploy by using IP - pool, vmware tools will be used to update the guest operating system with one of the IP of the pool you have created. IP - manual does the same thing, but using the IP address that you type when you deploy the VM, DHCP assumes that your vSwitch physical network mapped to has access to a DHCP server or a DHCP server in the configuration as you perform the deployment (which is necessary if you deploy a fenced in a configuration with DHCP virtual computer).

Be aware that the IP pool that you create in Lab Manager is supposed to be dedicated to the Lab Manager environment, i.e. it does not check the outside world to see if it is already in use. If your IP pool belongs to a VLAN, make sure that you configure in the properties of the physical network.

When you deploy in a closed configuration, be aware that he will use 2 IP for each virtual machine in the configuration (an intern / an external on the NAT router) as well as 2 (I think) IP addresses for the virtual router.

  • Now start (end) MM 2014 out SSD external; What should I do with the profile on my HHD?

As indicated in the title, I copied my HARD whole on an external SSD drive which is running off the coast of USB 3.0. Things work terribly for months now, so I think I'm ready to wipe the HARD disk partition original that was made when initially, I set up my Mac Mini and recover about 300 GB of space which is just collecting dust. I'm just a little unsure as to how to best / safest this approach and could use some advice.

    • Should I simply delete the partition by using the disk utility? Who will mess up anything?
    • Should I leave a copy of Mac OS on that partition incase my SSD never goes down?
    • What happens to the settings of recovery if I wipe the HARD disk partition original?

    All advice is appreciated!

Personally I backup the HARD drive and external SSD on another external drive and set it asside before doing anything.

1 depends on how you initially install and everything moves on the SSD...?

1.a. If you have formatted and installed a clean OS X on the SSD, then used together Assistant to migrate everything on.

(so yes, it might be safe to delete your data on the internal HARD disk and OS X)

1.b. If you simply copied everything above the SSD.

(while not, because both drives could be based on each other and sharing as Siamese)

    2. depending on how you answered 1... ?

It would make a good backup for the SSD drive.

    3. it depends also how you answered 1... ?

If you answered 1.a... then you should already have a recovery on the SSD Partition.

  • What keeps visible Hello on the network printers?

    Hello

We have problems with a certain printer, which became visible many, many times on the list of visible printers on the network. OSX users still about 100 of these lines, which represents a single printer. Who is plugged into half a day already. It looks like this:

How to get rid of this...? What keeps this list life anyway? Other Mac computers on the network? Judging by the documentation of this HP, I'm not alone. But it is not explained how to solve this behavior. Any suggestions?

It is the result of a Bluetooth peripheral malfunction on the network, most likely the printer itself or a third-party router with incompatible settings or firmware. Restart the router can help temporarily. Otherwise, check with the manufacturer for support.
