LAN 10 Mbps in machine VM under 3i?

Hello

I converted and Symantec BESR backup using VMWare converter 3.03 and when I start my VM it shows a network card that is connected at the speed of 10 Mbps. Is it the way it should work? Is there anyway to increase the speed of the VLAN adapter?

VMware Tools will alter the detection of network card and replace the AMD PcNET legacy through a device optimized vmnet.

This (should) use less CPU and possibly run faster.

In addition, the installation will allow better control of the prompt (start/stop automatic, of the manipulation of memory, reports). So, generally, it is advisable to install the VMware tools.

  • LAN card missing in the device under network adapters Manager

    Hello

I'm using Inspiron n4010. Recently, my hard drive failed, I replaced it with a new one and since then I am unable to connect to internet with my cable, although my wifi works well. Also when I tried to install the network drivers it says Setup can not find the Ethernet controller on your system. Kindly help.

    Thanks in advance.

The NETWORK adapter is defective... What Windows is there is no NETWORK adapter so that the driver does not install.

Replacing the motherboard is a bit extreme for just a broken NIC. Its possible to get a USB cable to Ethernet:

  • Trying to share a wifi Connector 1 USB machine via the LAN to another machine

I have 2 machines, one with vista 32 bit and the other xp pro 64-bit. Mcahine vista has connectivity to the network using a wifi USB dongle. I set up a LAN hub and the machines are file sharing very well, I'm trying to access the net the XP pro machine through its connection to the local network without success and have tried everything. 2nd attempt I configured manually the IP addresses, and it still does not work! Any suggestions...?

Do not manually configure IP addresses.

On the Vista machine, turn on Internet connection sharing on the connection that uses the Wi - Fi dongle.  If asked what to use for the home networking connection, select the connection to the local network.  This will automatically give connection to the local network of the IP address 192.168.0.1.

Configure the connection to the local network of the XP Pro machine to automatically obtain an IP address.  In the 192.168.0.x range, it will get an IP address from the Vista machine.

  • Display questions from VM of Macbook Air to MBP Pro 15 ", too small to see icons

    Hi all

I'm a pretty low end user of the merger, so I apologize if this is too basic.  I have search the forums for about 30 min, but have not seen this issue.

I mainly use Fusion to launch some complex Excel sheets.  The leaves are stored in Dropbox.  My Macbook Pro 15 "with the latest Fusion running XP (old).  My new Macbook Air has a similar VM with Windows 7.  I wanted to copy the VM MBA with Win 7 for the MBP, so I could have the latest OSX, but not have to reinstall everything (I don't have Microsoft Office discs, these applications have been installed at work).

I copied the folder 'Virtual Machine' the MBP.  I opened the virtual machine and on the commissioning got a message about incompatibilities to display.  Everything works fine, but all the icons are tiny.  My eyes is fine, but I can barely see them.  I went into Control Panel and make the largest desktop icons, but when I open Excel, everything is tiny here also.

Is there another way to do this?  The MBA has a screen of course smaller than the MBP.  I'm guessing this has to do with it.

    Thank you

The MacBook Pro has Retina Display?  If yes then ensure that in the Virtual Machine settings under display that "use the full resolution for the Retina display" is not checked.

  • LAN with VMWare Workstation 7 segments

    Hello

someone has already tried the "LAN Segments" feature of VMWare Workstation 7?

    I have the following configuration:

    -1 team

    -VM´s 4

    -3 LAN segments

2 machines are configured to be together in a local Network Segment (LAN 2) with the following parameters:

    -The name "LAN 2.

    -Bandwidth: "leased line T1 (1.544 Mbit/s)

    -1544 kbit/s

    -0,0% packet loss

Although I configured this team I always > connection 100 Mbps between these two VM´s. I´ve tried transferring a files 35 MB of a VM to another using a fileshare.

Someone at - there experience this problem in VM7? Do anyone know if this is a known bug?

    Ah--along the way. I use build 203739

    Thanks in advance,

    Jan

You turn on the team through the power team orders or you turn on the VMs system individually?  There is a known bug where network segment settings do not work for the latter.

  • time machine remove the backup target drive

Running El Capitan - I have set up three units for Time Machine backup: a RAID and a dock that is used for a pair of alternation of readers of archive. One of two archives training to life in a safe Bank and I have Exchange it with the current drive once a week.

Before I upgraded my OS, Time Machine would simply be two backups between some readers were available and do so without comment. Now, after the upgrade, Time Machine sees that one of the pair is missing and he complains. This means that one time every three hours Time Machine issues a warning that one of the players is not available.

I have not found a way to disable this warning.

Be resigning myself to this, I decided that I simply change the names of readers Archives are identical, and then remove the 'third' drive in the list. With this version of Time Machine, I don't see a button "select disk" or any other way for the list of target readers and remove one of them. The options button allows you to control the volume of the source, not the target volumes.

Either I have to stop the needless alert or remove a drive in the list.

    Any suggestions?

Re: community - the only results of a search of a community of Time Machine is under Mountain Lion. Sorry if this is too broad

After losing all kinds of weather (including a right click on the list of drives for backup and the research in all directions - including multiple searches on google), I discovered that you have right click on the drive icon in the list to use or remove the drive. This follows a different set of rules than the Finder user interface.

  • Card PCMCIA Avaya on a machine Satellite Pro 4320 - 31 to load the driver error code

The machine works perfectly in all respects. Recently attempted to add an Avaya Silver wireless card to the system.

Somehow the system has problems with the supplied driver. I have redownloaded the driver support site (now on version 7.62, the driver should support the card as a "Avaya Wireless PC Card".) I have to the latest driver available.

Given that the machine works under Windows 2000, SP4 and all available patches, and yet didn't have questions about installing a card like this on a Windows 2000 computer before, I'm a little confused as to what may cause the problem.

The card is detected properly, and the pilot is recognized. When installed the Device Manager still representing a yellow exclamation mark on the map of Avaya. When investigating this error shows that Windows 2000 cannot load the drivers on an error code 31.

I found Code 31 made reference to possible support material that gives the questions. I turned my attention to the CardBus controller (ToPIC100 according to Device Manager). The version used is Microsoft, 20/06/2003, 5.00.2195.6717.

Appearantly it is a newer driver (5.1.2600.0) but I failed to bring one downloaded. Seems that it is only available through Windows Update, which does not show the update as being available for the machine.

Then... Anyone know how to get the map Avaya Wireless Silver active PCMCIA on a Satellite Pro 4320? I need a newer driver, or can not be done at all?

  • Satellite L500D - what type of housing is under the battery?

I found a place (I think it's the memory) under the battery in my satellite L500D. What type of housing is it? (It looks like a MicroSD card, but sign says: this is the crack of WIS - I searched but I did find what this means)

It works in my laptop, or is it for other models?

    Hello

Memory locations are placed near the Bay of dough.
But the slots are not placed under the battery.
It would be interesting to see the location on the image.

As far as I know that the laptop does not support 3G so I n t think that there is a slot for a card 3G.

Of course, the laptop supports a Bridge Media slot that handles the card SD, SDHC Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, MultiMediaCard, but this machine in under is placed on the in front of the laptop.

Can someone help how to download the LAN driver for my machine. I found three LAN drivers but impossible to download the toshiba europe site.

    Thank you

    What's the problem?
I found on the different driver Toshiba's European site for different OS version.
You need to download a compatible. If you are using XP choose the version the most recent OS XP and if you use Vista or XP MCE choose another.

I have a variable number of both real as virtual computers on my network. In this issue, I plan only to those that are visible to the windows (they have SAMBA or similar installed and running).

All these machines appear under ' Control Panel-> and Internet-> view computers and network devices.

When I view on a map of entire network on my Windows machine 7 Pro, the arrangements show on the map.

These machines that I expect not to show on the map appear correctly under ""the next detected devices cannot be placed into the foreground.

My question is - is there a restriction on the number of machines that can appear here and is there a way to increase this.

If I have more than 8 machines which should be included here, only 8 appear. If I turn off one of those listed, one missing is displayed.
