Laptop crashes after loading SP2 for Vista - stuck at 0%

I downloaded the SP2 for Vista and now my phone is blocked 3 of 3 update after reboot. It is stuck at 0% complete. How to spend it?

Hello

1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode

http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

Windows Vista

Using the F8 method:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
  3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
  4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
  5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
  6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

If that does not read this information

the link below is how to download and get a vista disk startup repair, which you can start from the

    Follow the info below to try a Startup Repair:

    As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

    If yours falls into the category above, download the ISO on the link provided and make a bootdisk of it.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

  • Satellite L350-24U: Windows Vista crashes after installing SP2

    Hello

    I own a Satellite L350-24U laptop with Windows Vista 32. I bought in October and had to reinstal the OS twice now. Still, it crashes after installation of Service Pack 2. After you restart the system, a blue screen appears, giving the following information

    STOP: 0 X 00000024 (0 X 00190444, 0X86B9BAD0, 0XC0000102, 0X00000000)

    I had to reinstall Win Vista with HDD Recovery from Toshiba (press F8, then repair etc.) and everything worked properly again.
    THS time, it's more serious. Last night the system shut down whenever you use internet explore (after about 30 seconds). SP2 has not been installed, but there are so many problems, I decided to install SP2, because I hoped that the bugs I had with SP2 would be eliminated. When installing SP2, the system crashed again, and now I got the same bluescreenmessage new.

    I tried to reinstall Vista, but the Toshiba HDD program starts no more: it is said: the installed program is not working (or something similar) - please click on ok to close.

    I did not burn the cd of recovery yet, so I don't know what more can be done and online support is closed today.
    I'd really be very happy for any help
    Thank you

    Hello

    I searched a bit on the Microsoft Web site and on the blue screen, I created this article:
    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-GB/library/ms793935.aspx

    So I think that the reason for the BSOD is a corrupted file system or a defective HARD drive. You should check the drive using the Drive Fitness Test for example.

    I put t understand why you didn't burn the disc of recovery yet. Why you didn t read the manual at first?
    Now, you have only one option to get a new recovery disk: Please order a new Toshiba directly: https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • Computer HP crashes after loading of the Kodak camera in Vista

    Can you tell me if I need to load the upgrade of Windows 7 or Windows 7 program?

    I have a HP computer I bought a year and a half.  It came with Windows Vista.  Yesterday, while trying to load my Kodak camera on the computer, the computer kept freezing.  After trying all day getting something to work, I decided to get out the manual because I am almost computer illiterate.  He had instructions on restoring my computer, but I didn't completely read the instructions because I had spent so much time trying to make it work.  It was not good.  Everything I've done seems to have deleted Windows Vista... I get a screen that reads like this:

    Cannot start Windows Windows Boot Manager.  A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.  To solve this problem: 1. Insert your windows installation disc, and then restart your computer.  2. choose your language settings, and then click Next.  3. click on repair your computer.  If you do not have this disc contact your system administrator or the manufacturer to rely for assistance.  File: \windows\system32\winload.exe status: oxcooooooF Info: the selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or damaged.         My question is this: Windows Vista is still on my computer?  The man I spoke with the geek squad at best buy told me I just need to buy Windows 7 and download it and my computer wouldn't be good as new.  I went to Wal-Mart because Best Buy has been closed at the time wherever I have to go, and the only Windows 7 they have is an upgrade of Windows Vista. The Windows 7 upgrade will work?  The man at WalMart, told me that I have to go out of town to get the Windows 7 program because it would not load without Windows Vista.  I don't know if I need the program or the upgrade.  Help!

    If you have any problems with the information below, see if you can ask a tech-savvy friend of assistive technology.

    You must have a running and Vista enabled for upgrade of.

    You can't put a Vista non-boot.

    Here's how to try to repair your Vista operating system:

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .
    There is no Vista free download legal available.
    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s since the Partition of recovery in case of hard drive failure or System Crash, when he is running again.
    They will tell you how to do this.
    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
