Laptop crashes often

I have a Dell Studio Windows 7 64 bit laptop. My laptop weighs around 15 - 20 times a day. I can't move my mouse cursor. CTRL + Alt + Delete does not work. Every time I have to restart my laptop and sometimes it crashes at the start of the process itself. I scanned my PC and it is virus free. Also there is no violation of integrity.

You have quite a few questions

1-chrome hangs dozens of times per day
2 - thus fm.exe
3 BTUSB.
4-net framework.

Here what I'd do

First run Malwarebytes

Please download the free version of Malwarebytes.
Update immediately.
Do a full scan of the system
Let us know the results at the end.

http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products

Then run a check of system files to check and repair the operating system files.

I would also like to run a file system check to verify and repair the operating system files

Run a file system check to check and repair your system files.

To do what type cmd in start search box, and then right-click to run as administrator, then
SFC/SCANNOW

It may need be performed up to three times before success
Let us know the results of the report at the end

I tend to play online MMO and I was playin sleep since March and started playin World Of Warcraft has recently also. However, lately, the laptop crashes randomly when reading and my games and then sometimes struggled to turn back on.

Looks like you used the Win10 GoBack feature infamous attempt to restore your PC updated Win10 to a previous version of the OS, right?

If this is the case then, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but, unfortunately, the Win10 GoBack function is known to be unreliable, and when it fails it can leave machinery in a State corrupted - that seems to be what has happened to yours.

The Win10 upgrade is known, in some cases, corrupt the partition of recovery that are stored by the OEM that built the original machine.  It's pretty much guarantee that no HP recovery will work.

What will work restores your computer to its original factory state using HP recovery media.  It is a DVD and CD set that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update".  If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entty and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

Note that if HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • Taskbar crashes often, but everything else works

My sister has a HP with Windows Vista.  Recently it started to act up.  The taskbard crashes often through all day, but everything that is currently open would continue to operate.  When this happens, she must do ctrl + tab to navigate between applications and browser.  The only way I know how to unlock the taskbar is by pressing ctrl + alt + delete, then esc.  It solves the problem temporarily, but it's really annoying.  At first I thought that his computer has been infected by a virus, so I did a complete system restore, but the problem persists.  Help, please.

    Without guarantees, try this...

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys together > Task Manager > processes tab > right click on explorer.exe > end process > file > "new task (run...)".
    > Type explorer.exe > OK

Check the taskbar again. It's still freezing? For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.
