Compaq Presario laptop.  Windows Vista SP 1. Touchpad

My wife's cell phone goes through a normal startup and about 5-10 seconds after the desktop appears, the arrow cursor freezes in its previous location.  It will not move.  It apppears that touch screen turns off.  To turn off the computer, I pressed the power button.

When I start in safe mode the touchpad works very well.

I reinstalled the driver touch screen safe mode ATP.  No joy.

This has happened in the last two days.  After it happened, I did a full scan with a Norton freshly updated in safe mode.  Only a minor tracking cookie has been found and fixed.  The problem has not disappeared.

  • Cursor freezes when a letter on the keyboard is pressed

Hello. I just got a laptop HP 2000 yesterday on 27/10/13 from Best Buy. I'm a fast type of person, which really bothers me. I type something on my laptop, and my cursor freezes for 2 to 5 seconds - makes me really angry. I don't know if that helps, but my product number: E0P79UA #ABA. Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hello

This problem may be caused by a touchpad setting which is intended to avoid any accidental activation - for example if your Palm brush the touchpad when typing.

You can change this as follows.

Open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  In the new page layout, select the entry of Synaptics.

The hardware/software version will depend on real option that you're looking for (see the example below), but it is usually called 'check' Palm or Smart Sense'-disable this function and apply the changes.

    Kind regards

  • MS Wireless mouse cursor freeze in XP

I was getting a random freeze cursor 2 or 3 times a week for a month and a reboot might solve the problem. Yesterday, cursor freeze happened and a restart had no effect. I changed the battery, no change. I replaced the mouse and receiver with one another; no change. I rebooted in Safe Mode; no change. In safe mode, I activated Avast and have a full scan; completely clean except that he told me that he could not access some files. (???) I am not able to select Start scan from Avast because I can't select it due to a frozen mouse. I also checked settings hardware for USB mouse and made sure it was allowed. ; no change.

I didn't notice if there is a particular application that caused 10-12 freezes last month; I don't think that's the problem. And last week I perform a full scan and a week before a boot scan. the two returned without problems. I am running in XP Pro SP3 on a desktop processor Intel Dual who otherwise worked perfectly for months.

    Content of thread:

My XP SP3 system does not meet a PS2 Mouse or either of two wireless USB mice. I can get to the window of the hardware system, but I need to be able to move the mouse around the screen, so I choose option or file boxes to remove mouse drivers and re - install.  I watched keyboard command lists and none seem to say how to move the cursor by a few (or a few hundred) pixels; only "end of a line, etc...  Is there some these combo keys that allow moving the slider of distances involved to # essential features or the period of ownership of the keys?

    Hello

Yes, I already had all these checks and found no problem.

I just installed a PS2 Mouse and now my cursor MOVES!  But I decided to do a rootkit virus scan before anything else (AVAST).  It may take a few hours to complete then I won't be able to do any further testing until tonight...

  • Cursor freeze (R7 Aspire 571 G)

    Hi guys! Ineed your help!
Lately, my mouse (cursor) started to freeze. It looks like all the second cursor freeze for a bit, and it will once again every 1-2 seconds. First I thought that he just a battery of my mouse is released, but when I plug in a different mouse - the problem persists. Then I tried button touchpad - same question.
I have a 10 Windows and installed all of the upgrades. 35% of RAM CPU HDD works around 8%, 0%. All programs are turned off.
Here is the link for the video, how it looks like (in the video, I was constantly moving the mouse without stopping). Sorry for the quality: https://youtu.be/ClCjBTTwpS4

Guys, I solved this problem by reinstalling the realtek drivers. These gels happens because of FMAPP.exe (in the Task Manager) If you stop it manually - freezes disappear. But it is useful until you restart your computer.
I deleted the realtek drivers and reinstall the old version through "Acer Recovery Management" (c:/Ptogram/Acer files). And now the freezes disappear.

    Original title: cell phone problems

    Hello world

Well, my problem is that my laptop is freezing a lot, and when it works it is very slow.

I tried my best to solve the problem, in fact it's the last problem. First it was overheating and blacken, so I dissamblied it and cleaned the fan who had a lot of dust in. That stop over heating and blacken. But there is a DLL error run and a big malware problem, which literally almost turned off the laptop. I fixed using management Acer recovery and restore of factory default.

My laptop is Windows 7, I did a check thorough for malware using MalwareBytes and BullGuard and they both came back clear.

I even took it to a computer repair center and they told me that they had it fixed, something they did for software updates. And of course when I got it back, it wasn't freezing, but then a few days later he began occasionally freeze, then gradually increases and now it of freezing of charges and also turn very slowly.

The type of gel that is is, I can be offline or online and all of a sudden my screen locks and no keyboard commands don't work, the only thing I can do when this happens is to hold down the power button until it stops. Sometimes I load in SafeMode cos it seems Frost less then, but still it does not freeze too often.

I really don't want to do about it, any advice would be much appreciated.

I thought it might be a hard drive problem, maybe the Malware it damaged. But I wouldn't be replaced just to find that it freezes again after.

Also I am upgrading to Windows could help, but I don't know if I can return to Windows 7 if I am not happy with it. I could create a restore point before moving on, but I'm not if this works with decommissioning?

Run a repair of the win 7 dvd installation.

  • Cursor freezes when I right click on a file

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (with all latest updates)

    32-bit operating system

    IE9

Whenever I right click a file (all), the cursor freezes with the waiting round circle: then I have to go to Task Manager and complete the task under applications to continue to work. To bring things back to normal, I have to restart, but after a while the cursor starts to work again. It is terribly annoying, because I very often work with the menu drop-down list by clicking index right files and regularly use the paste, cut, rename, and delete functions. This problem has happened recently. I have checked my virus from the system and nothing presented. I also realized all the maintenance tasks. I used Nirsoft ShellExView to disable/enable types "contex menu" for all software except those that relate to Microsoft and still have the problem.

Please advise, thank you very much.
