Laptop does not restart. Shows cannot start windows

Computer shows "Windows Error Recovery" and offers two options 'launch Startup Repair' or 'start windows normally '.  I did both and the computer does not restart.
If I select "start windows normally" it returns to the screen allowing you to start two options and default settings for the "repair starting."  He then proceeds to system recovery options, but then restarts to the two options under the "windows Error Recovery".  It seems to be stuck in a loop.

I removed the battery, etc. rebooted several times but seems to make no difference.

http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm

Download the Vista software from the link above.

After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.

Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

See you soon.

    Hello

    Thanks for the post.

    Disconnect any attached external devices.

If you use a third-party antivirus disable and then install updates and check.

Temporarily turn off the firewall and antivirus software and try to install the updates.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/disable-antivirus-software#1TC=Windows-Vista

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network at the time the anti-virus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

If this does not help, then I suggest you to put the computer in a clean boot state and then install. Start your computer in a clean boot state, you can reduce conflicts between software and help identify the root cause of the problem. You can read this article for more information:

Note: after the resolution of the problem, reset the computer to start as usual. Refer to the step How to configure the computer to start as usual after a boot minimum troubleshooting under more information.

Hi, I own an Acer Aspire 6935 G, so far he treated me so. Recently, the charger port broken (one of the wires came loose). I have brought a replacement and mounted in it, but on my charger fuse blew!

Then I took another replacement just to the case where there has been previous replacement I bought and nothing major, new replacement seems to work well (lighs load lights up) but it does not all power in the laptop. Witnesses of load lights as indicated, but the laptop won't before the Acer splash screen. Due to the battery being dead, I can't access bios set up so I can check the status of my laptop not enter recovery. I was wondering if it could be something other than a hardware problem, and if this is the case; It is expensive to do is fixed or am I better off buying a new laptop?

Lugman > recently, the charger port broken (one of the wires came loose). I have brought a replacement and mounted in it, but blew the fuse on my charger! >>>

Sorry, but it does look like a hardware problem. Sounds like the power supply may be about to blow another fuse. I think you have a short or large scale electric leakage somewhere that prevents charging of the battery and power - it but maybe not enough (yet) to blow another fuse or switch off the LEDs.

First remove the battery and power connections before you tear things. The first place I would look is around the port of loading where your problems started and hope that it's not deeper in the system where it can cause some MB or more serious damage. Look for the places where the lines of welding on the System Board may be in contact with a screw or a metal on the ground. While you're there, reconnect both ends of all accessible Ribbon (like the video and keyboard) connectors. Also to the HARD drive, modules of memory vivid and all the other connectors for component for good measure.

Once you have checked everything, and before you have wound all caches and screws, see if you can carefully insert the battery into the receptacle and plug the charger. Don't try to power. You can do this on an insulating surface to avoid the land of naked drivers. The LED light looks like he is in charge? If so, let it continue to charge without trying to power on. I think after 4-5 hours, the led that would indicate a fully charged battery. If so, I would try and then power on. If not, and it's still seems to be in charge, stop, do not try to and we will draw the next steps.

    Hello

May I ask where did you download the driver?
It seems that the driver is not supported or is not compatible.
Code 10 means-> device could not start.
You simply need to use the driver from the Toshiba page and click on update driver to update the drivers for this device.

  • Brand new laptop does not come with disks of windows, I need to reinstall windows what/where/how do I?

I bought 2 new laptops. Both come with Windows already... so, if I need to reinstall windows... How/where/can do?

    Hello

For future reference, these are VISTA forums you want on the new laptops in.

I suggest other questions about these laptops you ask in the correct Forums.

Here are the General options of relocation for you:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

    See you soon.

  • Laptop does not restart after complete recovery

    Hello

    G61 401SA laptop: Windows 7 64-bit.

I replaced a hard drive fault and used the recovery disc to re - install. All loading software and it says to remove it from your drive and continue to restart.

I did this and it is only with - "No Bootable device - insert boot disk and Press any key"

I ran the recovery many times, but each time what happens with the same problem.

Anyone know what I can do, or how to fix this?

    Thank you

    Hi David,

    Thank you for your support.

    The problem is resolved.

A little history on how - I did as suggested and created a Windows7 install disc.

However, before doing so, I tried the original on a different hard drive used recovery disks. They loaded correctly and all worked.

I then tried again on the new drive (which I had already formatted on another computer, just in case). Once again they load but returned with "No. Bootable device.

Then used the newly created Windows installation disc, which installed correctly.

Then, I used again recovery disks on the now used drive which worked well. So no need to download all the drivers etc as all back by default.

We always bought HP, however this including my experience with their terrible support and the fact that I had two of the PSU and a screen fail recently left a very bitter taste.

    Thanks again,

    TLC
