Laptop HP 15-af131dx: CPU upgrades the HP 15-af131dx laptop

I have a HP 15-af131dx. I would like to put a faster processor in it but I don't know wha my potential options are. I know that's not supported officaiily, but that does not mean that it is impossible. I already know how to open it, I did once to install more ram.

After some research more what you do tell me so that the processor is soddered to the Board of Directors, even if it's in a power outlet. The next time you give a reply please developed. I am a certified technician, and I live in the details. Just tell me that it won't work does not satisfy me.

    Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

You can remove your AMD A4 processor and install a

    AMD A8 - 3520M 2.50 GHz processor (1.6 GHz FSB, 4, 0 - MB L2 cache, quad core, 35 W)

The manual shows how to do it. The A8 processor will be a quick replacement; You can reuse the heat sink and won't need any part other than the processor. While you are there, it will give a good opportunity to clean the inside and apply new thermal paste between the top of the processor and the lower part of the radiator. Clean the blades of the fan with a q-tip with alcohol, then wipe each blade with a lint cloth carefully to make sure that everyone is clean as a whistle. On the A-series AMD when you upgrade the processor, actually get you a small bump in video performance. The processor is actually called an APU and is somewhat simplified, the CPU and video card. Normally I advice against upgrades the processor laptop, but on this one particular type, I think it's logical given that the processors are cheap, because there is not much demand for them. Intels are a lot more. After the back if you need assistance. Good luck.

can I upgrade the CPU in my laptop HP 2000-2d03tu. If yes than Please publish the list of processors. Thanks in advance

Core 2 Duo is old technology. In the list in the post above, you can install the versions 'budget' of the Intel Core processors (i3, etc.). The Pentium 2030 M is the fastest at 2.5 ghz, but I couldn't find one for sale online. It is roughly equal to an i3 - 3120 m.

  • Can I upgrade the CPU T2310 Satellite Pro L40 - 15A series laptop PC?

Hi, (I apologize if this has been asked before, but when I search 'Satellite pro l40 series' I couldn't find any relevant response)

I've been looking around the net & found contradictory answers to this question so far, so I hope that this forum may be able to help.

I have a 15 D portable computer Satellite pro L40 and I want to upgrade the processor Intel Pentium Dual-Core 1.46 Ghz T2310 an Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4300 2.1 GHz 1 MB 800 CPU or something similar.

I found the following issues http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Toshiba-Satellite-L40-14N-Notebook.7294.0.html

"f consider you a CPU upgrade, there is not a lot of options." The Intel GL960 value express notebook chip supports only up to FSB 533 Mhz processors. So, does not allow most of the Core 2 Duo CPU update (with 667 MHz). "

But then, I also read that the GL960 can run 800 MHz processors?

I also asked the question on ebay to the seller of the CPU T2310 & received this response

«SHOULD be OK, but your T2310 533 Mhz FSB and the T4300 has 800 Mhz.»

Motherboards intel more modern should easily accept a 800 mhz cpu, but I cannot guarantee. May be an idea to see if you can find out if there are other models of Toshiba L40, also with 800 mhz chip, because it would be a good indicator.

And if I can't pass a T2310 because of the 800 mhz too is their a 533 mhz cpu that will be compatible & more powerful for audio production that my current Ghz CPU T2310 1.46.

I've only had this PC 4 years again, it seems not to be very mobile friendly if this resource could not be designed to handle upgrades.

    Thanks for the tips.

  • Pavilion n201ax: upgrading the GPU, the CPU and the RAM of my laptop n201ax

Maybe it's a very long post, but please answer because I really need answers to each of these questions and I really want to upgrade my laptop to the best configuration, if I CAN.

Let me make this clear first.

    * In the next contained the words 'this portable' always refers to Hp Pavilion 15-n201ax *.
Good then everything first I read somewhere that the maximum Ram of this laptop can be expanded up to 16 GB, but i came up with this link here-

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/hardware-upgrades-replacements/I-would-like-to-upgrade-memory-of-my-lap...

And then I came to know that it can only be upgraded to 12 GB page chapter 1 Description this Guide - #2

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04438537.PDF

First of all I would like to ask, is that,

    1. can I buy a RAM of any brand but the same 1600 mhz clock speed ofc IE?, then can I go to the GSkill 1600 Mhz DDR3 4 GB of ram?

    2. the size matter for respective locations? or I can install the 8 GB and 4 GB of ram in any other slots?

So this was all about the RAM

But I need to know if I can change the discrete GPU and the APU of this laptop

3 and if yes - which are compatible mobile GPU that I can install by removing the previous one ie AMD 8600 M (for example graphics R9, R7 and R5 for laptop)

4 and who are the compatible APU I can install by removing the APU previous IE AMD APU A10 - 4655 M (for example the AMD FX APU for laptops)

    5. If I can upgrade the GPU and APU both please tell makes compatibility issues? as only a specific GPU can work with a specific APU IE as in this laptop AMD APU A10 - 4655M + AMD 8600 M GPU.

    Please help me, please.

    Thanks in advance.

    Pavilion 15-n201ax?

We may need to refer to the owner's manual here:

    Your repair manuals

Officially, it supports only 12 concerts. Your model has a single module of 8 GB if you have an open slot. Unofficially, users here can have reported that add another 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts will work fine. It's something you take the risk of making but it is not official.

The part numbers for the appropriate memory are listed on page 42. You must DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM.

If you want to go formal, the 4 GB module is: 691740-001

    Is this on amazon.com:

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-691740-001-1600MHz-PC3L-12800-memory/DP/B00CI08FX4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1437948185&SR=8-1&keywords=691740-001

You just leave the concert 8 where it is and add the new memory into the open slot.

On your laptop model, the GPU/APU is soldered to the motherboard. In order to make any upgrade, you will need to buy a new motherboard. You have an idea together wrong GPU/APU can be removed and replaced and this is incorrect. The term APU refers to a processor that has integrated video, so the whole issue on the compatibility between the GPU and APU just missing the mark. On some systems, the GPU/APU is socketed and can be replaced which is used to replace/upgrade the processor and the video function but as stated above, on your this involves pulling and replacing the entire motherboard.

    There is available a little better/graphics processor using AMD A10 - 5745M 8670 M (2.9 GHz/2.1 GHz, 2 GB L2, 1333 MHz DDR3L Quad 25W) for use with Standard Windows. The part of the motherboard is 734824-501

HP does not store the Council, but I found this line:

    http://www.discounteddealz.com/product.asp?Itemid=327740&gclid=CO78y6rn-cYCFQmCaQodOP0GLQ

Never heard of this seller and can not be a guarantor, but the price is very reasonable for this Council. I was expecting to be a little more makes me wonder about this seller a little. I would advise to keep what you have. He is very strong for AMD and the upgrade to the Commission on the A10-5745 will result in only a very small increase in performance to a very high cost in money and efforts.

  • Satellite Pro C850 - 1 H 8 - upgrade the BIOS CPU support

    Hi there are people.

I'm wandering if there is a possibility of upgrade of the i5 3230 m which is currently in my Satellite Pro C850 - 1 H 8.

Looking at the options available in the decision-making FCPGA988 and chipset Intel HM70 there seems to be a variety of the i7 available for use.

The laptop supports processors with a TDP plu max than 35w?
The bios supports all the CPU upgrade options?

    Cheers, Nick

In this forum, you will find various discussions on the theme of CPU upgrade.
    I found this one:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=75073

Paolo and Macius posted some information about the situation of CPU upgrade.
As you can read in another thread, the CPU upgrade isn't supported. Updates can be made at your own risk, and no one can say if CPU supported by the chipset would be supported by the BIOS.
Test it if you want, but it's at your own risk.

  • Can I upgrade the CPU on my old Satellite M60

Hello I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade the processor to my old m60
and, if possible, which would be compatible CPU model?

    Thank you

    Hello

I doubt that you will be able to upgrade the processor.
    Upgrading CPU is delicate.
First of all, you should check what CPU's are supported by the chipset.
Secondly, the BIOS is not tested and designed for other processors and so this can be a big problem.
In the worst cases the CPU is not supported by the BIOS and the laptop will not turn on.

Last but not least a faster processor would generate more heat which would lead to a higher temperature and plant s notebook

As you can see the CPU upgrade it discouraged and in most cases is not possible

  • HP laptop - 15-ac110na: is it possible to upgrade the processor?

Hi I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade the CPU on my laptop. It's a HP for laptop - 15-ac110na (ENERGY STAR). It is the CPU Intel(r) Pentium (r) CPU 3825U 1.90 GHz but I would exceed 3.0 GHz. If this is possible, is - could anyone recommend a new processor with more power and processing speed?

    Thank you very much.

Sort of. Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

The CPU is soldered on the motherboard would be the only way to upgrade to replace the motherboard which would cost about what you probably paid for your laptop. In other words, it could be done, theoretically, but makes no economic sense. Sell your laptop even if you take a loss and buy a new one with the processor you want and you will come out ahead. None of the available processors comes not far from 3 ghz., 2.4 is the fastest.

  • Upgrade CPU on the Satellite L75D

    Hello

My Satellite model 17 L70D-A-009 "AMD A10 5750 M mobile computer has up and died on me. 2 different repair shops to agree with me that it is the motherboard, so I bought another. Its used and as one of mine, the model number is A000243670 but is it a satellite, model L75D-A7268NR 17 "AMD A8 5500.
I think that the 2 boards differ in that each of them have a rendering different BIOS chip my A10 does not work on the new Board of Directors. That or the A10 in my laptop is hooped.

Anyway, the question I have is can the AMD A8 5500 in the Satellite L75D - A7268NR 17 "be upgraded with the A10 5750 M.

    Thank you

    First important information:
Update CPU is not supported by the laptop manufacturers.
This means that information on possible and compatible processors are not provided by the manufacturer.

However, the CPU upgrade depends on two main points: chipset and BIOS.
In case one of the parts mentioned would not support the new processor, the update is not possible.

From my own experience, the upgrade of the AMD CPU is more complicated as an upgrade to an Intel processor. A lot of people here in the forum already updated the Intel CPU, but I did not have anyone who has improved an AMD processor...

Satellite L75D-A7268NR was not released in Europe however, USA. and probably you should check the Toshiba forum us for more details on this laptop.

  • Wanting to upgrade the CPU in the satellite L20 196

    Hello

I'm new to this forum but have owned this laptop new a moment right now. As time has passed I noticed he has aged rapidly in recent months and needs a boost of speed.
I upgraded the RAM, a matching pair to 1 GB (896 MB showing, guess that's graphic shared?), but still not quite quickly enough.

My question is, can I upgrade the processor to a Pentium M or at least a faster Celeron?
If Yes, then what is the best possible processor that will be compatible? Autour Googling, I see I'm not alone on this idea, but all the info and comments where other L20 and not my model 196 in question.
Do I have reason to believe that the limits are 400 Mhz FSB, 1.5 GHz and 478 pins for this laptop?
Finally, I replaced and rebuilt a lot of PC in the past. A laptop (my L20) is much more difficult to remove and replace a CPU?

Thank you and look forward to any comments thereon.

In General, the CPU upgrade is not supported. More info on what you can read under http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

To be clear. Your Satellite L20 is really not the best laptop and on the scale of 1 to 5 when 5 of the best, I give your laptop 2. This laptop is designed for day-to-day activities like Office, internet, watching movies, listening to music and writing emails. So I think that with the preinstalled operating system and well set to own and 1 GB of RAM, it must have enough power for this.

I don't know what you want to do with this good old classic, but if you need laptop with more power for games or multimedia activities, I think it's time for the new laptop computer.

Please don't be crazy on me because I did not offer exact answer, but I just want to be realistic and honest with you.

  • Re: Satellite A200-1TS - can I upgrade the CPU Intel Core Duo T7800 mobile

    Hello

I have a laptop toshiba Satellite A200-1TS with processor intel core 2 duo T7500 mobile.
Here is my model: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=29761&processor=T7500&spec-codes=SLA3N, SLA44, SLADM, SLAF8,.

I want to change the processor with Intel core duo T7800 mobile.
This is the model: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=31729&processor=T7800&spec-codes=SLA75, SLAF6

Is it possible to change this?
Because is not a diference betwwen T7500 and T7800.
The only diference is that T7800 has 2, 6 GHz. And my motherboard supports any other procesors as T8XXX or T9XXX?

    Thank you

Why do you want to upgrade?
Only due to the fact that the new processor takes in charge the 2.6 Ghz instead of 2.2 Ghz?

To be honest, you will notice no no performance gain after these updates.
Of course, the processor is faster, but would not really noticeable.

In addition, you should know that a CPU upgrade on laptop is very complicated.
First disassembly of the laptop is really complicated. It may be damaged other parts during disassembly procedure and more, you will lose the warranty.

Theoretically, this processor should be compatible, but as much as I know the Toshiba does not support updates and there could be a conflict of BIOS.

So I would not recommend these updates.

PS: Check your chipset and look at the Intel page for more information about the various CPU media.

  • HP-G60-635DX: upgrade the processor for laptop HP-G60-635DX

I need to take this laptop goes to clean the fan.  I thought since I was already taking it down to the motherboard to clean it, I would upgrade the processor.

The original processor was an Intel T4300 and I chose an Intel T9600 to upgrade.  I found this information processor in the hardware maintenance manual.  The computer starts and the fan is working and everything seems to work, but the screen is black and I can't access the bios.  I'm not sure about the difference in cpu power, it might need a bigger power supply?  I have the latest (and only listed) update of the bios for the Board of Directors.  Any suggestions?  This processor will work with this mother/laptop card?

I also tried to reset the cmos to unplug for a few minutes, it has not helped. I tried to plug in my HDMI TV where the monitor was the question, this does not work either.

This is the only manual G60 there, I'm afraid. The problem is not the voltage or anything else it is the extra circuit found in Core 2 Duo processors. The cheaper Celeron and Pentium Dual processors are step features advanced and have other things, C2D processors premium. The 940 chipset is cheaper and allows the Assembly of cheaper machines. Run Sysoft Sandra or CPU - Z to confirm that you have 940 chipset and not the 945. If you look at the link I gave you some people become C2D processors working on 940 cards mothers and computers laptops, but HP does not seem to support that.
