  I rebooted my laptop today and got your PC needs to be repaired message but that is everything that appears on the screen, no code error or something else, literally that sentence. I have the windows CD that allows me to solve problems etc, but I have no idea where to start as a result of not having an error code. I was wondering if anyone has had or seen something similar and might help or might suggest that what I have to do in the first place.

  There are several factors behind this concern. Let's see if we can address this in a few simple troubleshooting steps:

  -Press the Windows key + r.

  -Type cmd , and then press enter.

  -Type sfc/scannow , and then press enter

  -Let him finish and restart.

  Sfc/scannow command say your Windows search and replace corrupted system files.

  I have 10 Windows on my HP DV7 envy.  When I turn it on I get the error "Your PC need to be repaired a necessary device is not connected."

  None of the keys work, which means I can't select startup options or select System Restore.  It just brings back me to the blue screen with the error message. So I can not try all options, I found on the internet that are made not boot master book or disable secure boot record.

  I ran the tests of memory and fast disk, as someone else suggested that memory may be bad.

  (HP please don't answer back Windows 10 is not supported.)  Microsoft has given to all customers of Windows 8. Besides it is not at all compared to the question, since the system cannot not even load the operating system.)

  I fixed that basically like this:

  1. safe mode in the bios
  2. change the boot order to put USB in the front
  3. Install Ubuntu from USB, so erase Windows

  I got stuck because I had copied the Ubuntu ISO was not a complete file.

  No doubt I could able recover if I asked HP ship me a replacement disc for Windows 8.1

  Also, I learned that you press f8, f9, f10 or f11 when you turn on the computer.  You must wait until the screen goes to sleep again and repower the computer to switch to another option.  Now key people will work until you do this.

  I am trying to solve this problem, a few minutes ago, I walked into the installer of Windows 8 by USB and he said that he could not install the disk and repair.

  Now if I try and come back in the USB bootable he launched just up an error saying:

  Now looking at these errors we just said to run the recovery media. I try and I just get the error again and again recovery screen.

  I moved the USB at the top of the boot order and tried to manually switch to it, just reocvery error page every time!

  If it is a fairly recent machine, it probably uses UEFI BIOS...

  If this is the case, you might look for some type of selection for the flash drive UEFI BOOT instead of simply select the USB port...

  I tried to install Windows 8 on my PC that was dual-boot WIndows 7 from 2 different hard disks and would choose between the 2 at the start.  So I deleted the partition of a Windows installation and installed Windows 8. Everything seemed to work fine, I could start and choose between Windows 8 or 7 and both worked well. Then, I updated a graphics driver Win 8 and caused problems with Win starting 8 by a black screen and nothing else. There is no restore point so I decided to start by deleting the partition. I have re installed Windows 8, but now when I boot I get an error screen.

  I had exactly this problem with a Windows 8 machine with a hard drive only a couple of weeks might not start on Windows or Windows CD but was able to start USB recovery and follow the steps below.
   
  Start the computer with the recovery media inserted. The computer must load the CD or USB. (You may need to change the BIOS boot sequence to start the USB drive first).

  Choose your language. Click next
  You will now see install in the center of your screen. On the lower left side you can see fix your computer.
  Choose repair.

  You will have several options, including:
  Refresh your computer
  Restore your computer
  Advanced options

  Choose Advanced Options.
  Launch the command prompt
  Enter the following commands one at a time who hit enter after each command.
  Bootrec /scanos
  Bootrec /rebuildbcd
  Bootrec /fixmbr
  Bootrec /fixboot
  Restart the computer once the last command finished

I've messed with settings etc and my pc suddenly went into to start with a message that my pc needs to be repaired or I have to reset my pc I did not use my recovery option.  Then I downloaded windows 8.1 of the Microsoft Web site on another laptop, but after installing it, I lost my 600 GB data in which at least 100 GB was really important to me. But the problem is I did not my recovery partition, I don't have a product key and I don't know how to do to activate my windows 8.1... Before considering any service center HP that I tried to post my problem on this forum, I thought that maybe you guys can help... And one last thing Sound system from my laptop aspire completely from my laptop to friends, its speakers are awesome... I downloaded the Realtek High Definition Audio etc site Web hp driver, but all in vain if you guys have a solution for this please help... Thank you

  I have a laptop HP DM4 Clubhouse. It is currently running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. The issue I had with the laptop is that during startup, it goes to a screen with 2 options: 'Launch (recommended) StartupRepair' or 'Start Windows normally' (who just goes to a blue windows screen and is no more progress).  So, I then when the BIOS options and ran the memory and hard drive tests. The memory test ran and says memory ok. However, the test drive long popped up saying complete hard drive 1 (305). So, I was wondering if the hard drive is broken and needs to be replaced? I also tried to restore the laptop using the recovery disks that I had done some time. Whenever I try to boot from the laptop recovery disks will go just to the blue screen of windows and will not progress further. So, I don't know what to do with this point. Any guidance would be appreciated.

  A hard drive is pretty fast & easy to replace. You can use a SATA hard detail. Just be sure to get one with a capacity at least as large as the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be bigger but not smaller. For example if you have a 320 GB you could use a 500 GB but not a 250 GB.

  This will depend on what any Toshiba laptop model you buy, and also the provider that you use.
  Some Toshiba laptops come with recovery discs that you use to install the operating system base so that any software provided and utilities. Other Toshiba laptops have a 'hidden' partition and a utility to allow you to create your own recovery discs.

  If you buy your ook noteb through points of sale, then they may well pre = install the operating system for you as well as their own software and tools.

  In general, you will not receive an original CD of Microsoft since the laptop will be provided under an OEM license.

  As you can see that there is no simple answer to your question. :-)

  You can install the original recovery image and set laptop to factory settings using two possible options:
  d ' use HARD drive recovery facility (F8 at startup and repair my computer option)
  d ' use of recovery DVDs

  If I understand you right that you have installed OS own hoping to use your laptop, but on this path that you deleted this repair my computer option so that you will not be able to start the installation of the HARD disk. Your only option is the use of recovery DVDs.
