HP laptop - 15-ac052tx: recovery

Hello...
I bought my notbook 3 months ago and a preinstalled windows 8.1 has been installed in my notebook. Then, I updated my 8.1to 10 geniune edition family, but because of the upgrade to windows 10 I have somehow lost my recovery partition. But as a new bee that I did not know the value of this partition. Later I triedto install Bitlocker, but I got to know that bitlocker is not available on windows 10home edition and then I tried to go to pro edition but this was impossible without entering a product key. I've messed with settings etc and my pc suddenly went into to start with a message that my pc needs to be repaired or I have to reset my pc I did not use my recovery option.  Then I downloaded windows 8.1 of the Microsoft Web site on another laptop, but after installing it, I lost my 600 GB data in which at least 100 GB was really important to me. But the problem is I did not my recovery partition, I don't have a product key and I don't know how to do to activate my windows 8.1... Before considering any service center HP that I tried to post my problem on this forum, I thought that maybe you guys can help... And one last thing Sound system from my laptop aspire completely from my laptop to friends, its speakers are awesome... I downloaded the Realtek High Definition Audio etc site Web hp driver, but all in vain if you guys have a solution for this please help... Thank you

I told u I have very less knowledge about computers... And well I just talked to a member of HP customer care, he told me my laptop is under warranty and they wil provide me a free recovery CD. I just have to pay the shipping fee... But I'm a little worried because my recovery partition was about 25 GB when I lost that... but I do not understand how they give me stuff 24 GB on a compact disc.

If all goes well they will send a flashdrive recovery and not a defined recovery disk.

Flashdrives of recovery are capable of running a factory image recovery in less than an hour.

The factory image recovery will restore the recovery hard disk partition and the ability to run a startup with a recovery key F11.

When you upgrade to Windows 10 this time choose the keep all my programs, files, and data. This way your recovery partition will remain intact and usable.

  • Question about OS preinstalled on laptops Toshiba and recovery CD?

Y at - it only something preinstalled on Toshiba notebokes and if so, what is pre-installed? Only Windows or also the software?
Is there a score with these things pre-installed on it? Do you get the original software CD or that you get only a recovery disk?
I hope someone could help me with these questions.

    Thank you very much.

    HI Sanne,

This will depend on what any Toshiba laptop model you buy, and also the provider that you use.
Some Toshiba laptops come with recovery discs that you use to install the operating system base so that any software provided and utilities. Other Toshiba laptops have a 'hidden' partition and a utility to allow you to create your own recovery discs.

If you buy your ook noteb through points of sale, then they may well pre = install the operating system for you as well as their own software and tools.

In general, you will not receive an original CD of Microsoft since the laptop will be provided under an OEM license.

As you can see that there is no simple answer to your question. :-)

  • Laptop computer HP recovery question

    Hello

I have a laptop HP DM4 Clubhouse. It is currently running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. The issue I had with the laptop is that during startup, it goes to a screen with 2 options: 'Launch (recommended) StartupRepair' or 'Start Windows normally' (who just goes to a blue windows screen and is no more progress).  So, I then when the BIOS options and ran the memory and hard drive tests. The memory test ran and says memory ok. However, the test drive long popped up saying complete hard drive 1 (305). So, I was wondering if the hard drive is broken and needs to be replaced? I also tried to restore the laptop using the recovery disks that I had done some time. Whenever I try to boot from the laptop recovery disks will go just to the blue screen of windows and will not progress further. So, I don't know what to do with this point. Any guidance would be appreciated.

A hard drive is pretty fast & easy to replace. You can use a SATA hard detail. Just be sure to get one with a capacity at least as large as the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be bigger but not smaller. For example if you have a 320 GB you could use a 500 GB but not a 250 GB.

Your service manual & help. To find, click on "Support" at the top of this page, then support & troubleshooting. Equip your complete model number or product as indicated on the Service tag on the bottom of the laptop.

  • Suffered the laptop using the recovery, but now only see 1 hard disk, not 2 disc

    Hello

I used the system recovery disk to erase all the data on my laptop and re - install Windows Vista a-fresh. I used to have two hard drives (C and E), but now when I restored it I have only one.

Should I just stick with it like that, or I can re - create the division?

    Thank you

    Hello

What model of laptop do you have?
With 2 hard drives do you mean 2 hard drives or 2 partitions on a HARD drive?

The point is that recovery disk formats the HARD drive and erase the partitions created on the HARD drive, so if you had a partition, then a recovery disk can delete it from the HARD drive.

  • Can not recover my laptop using created recovery disks

My hard drive crashed, I sent it to the warranty. She came back, but I wanted to reinstall.
Before that, I did 4 recovery disks.

Thus, when the laptop turned on DISC 1 was in and I could choose Windows 64, after a while he told me to put in the next disc. I did but no progress. I tried all the disks and none of them worked.

How should I proceed from here?

Unfortunately you can not force the installation of recovery to work. Either it works or not.
Are you using these discs for the first time now?

By the way: what model of laptop do you have?

    Hello:

Do not back up all files on the recovery drive.

This partition is strictly there to restore your PC software out of the box state.

It is quite normal for this partition be almost complete.

  • Envy 17 k299nb: Windows 8.1 on "new" laptop wants the recovery disk 32 GB

    Hello

Bandnew laptop, turned on for the first time.
First thing I want to do after installation, is to make a recovery disk.
When you choose this option, the laptop wonder a 32 GB flash drive 'at least'.
How can this be since it has "new"?

And more importantly, how I can reduce this amount of memory needed?

Access performance and USB drive is so terrible in this notebook I have to wait for hours!

    THX

This has nothing to do with the laptop being new. It is just a part of the initial report of installation and can be ignored for now, if you don't not available now.    Just remember you need to do the recovery at some point media.

You can skip the creation now and create it later.

If you want to have external recovery media access, then you will need to follow the guests will tell you. Do not save anything in the recovery partition!

You can access more later by invoking the charm of research and typing in HP recovery. Click the icon to create HP recovery media to start the process.

It won't take hours to make the usb recovery media. Access USB is fast, especially compared to the access of the DVD media.
