  If these instructions do not help, try the following steps at the time of any Bluetooth device pairing:

  Step 1. Go to Device Manager.

  Step 2. Right click on "Bluetooth device" you want.

• Problems of replacement of Windows 8 with Windows 7 on a laptop HP 2000-bf69WM

  I just bought a laptop HP 2000 - bf69WM during the Black Friday at Wal-Mart last night sale. This morning, I pulled and he went right to the trying to repair right out of the box.   1. If the network controller is Bluetooth 4.0, then do install this only & decide all BT pilot questions or need to install the driver of BT in the first link also? If install you it and it supports all bluetooth driver problems then the problem is resolved. If it does then install the other driver as well.

  2. for SM Bus controller - how will I know W7x86 / x 64 or W8 x 64 to install? Click the Start button and then right click on computer, then click Properties. See the description of your operating system in the window that says system. It will tell you if the OS is 64 or 32-bit.

  You have a few options in my opinion please try these steps can help you solve your problem.

  (1) disconnect the battery & adapter then press on & press and hold the power button for laptop for 30 seconds then switch on and check if the wireless led lights.

  (2) go to Device Manager then uninstall the drivers wireless network card and restart the device and check if the light is on.

  (3) try to do a system restore to the date where unit was working fine.

  (4) Please update the Bios & Wireless driver from the HP website.

  (5) click on start search type Recovery Manager, and then click on it once select Yes on user access control, and then select I need immediate help and then select driver and select request recovery driver wireless and install it and then restart the device.

  (6) If you are comfortable with reinstalling the wireless card that will be on the rear panel of your device you can try this steps as well.

  If you still have the same issue then you need to call HP tech support and get the replaced part.

  To install Windows 7 64 bit on a disc with a guid partition table you need to do the following.

  Judgment of the laptop.

  Have a HP 2000-208CA comes with 64 bit, WIN7 laptop.  This laptop is extremely slow.  The processor and memory, I think is the biggest problem with this laptop.  Installed WIN7 32 bit.  Now impossible to find the correct wifi for this laptop drivers.  Downloaded all the wifi drivers that have been listed for WIN7 32-bit for a laptop HP 2000 - 208CA, but none of them work.  Suggestions for alternative wifi drivers?

  I forgot the user password screen on laptop from HP running windows 2000 8, just after the adjustment for the first time.  There is no option to log in as administrator (only the personal user appears).  There is no personal data / files on the PC.  Need instructions step by step to retrieve or reset the password.  OR another option would be to default factory reset and start again, but once again need directions to do so.

  I saw on another thread of HP forum where reset the CMOS battery or CCF helped since it was a BIOS problem. Here is Service and Maintenance Guide for your model and 55 page you will find instructions on how to remove the RTC battery. Now only do this if you are out of warranty (more than one year from the date of purchase unless you have purchased an extended warranty) as pensionable laptop will void the warranty.

• Touchpad became erratic on laptop COMPAQ 2000.

  The touchpad has become erratic during use - the cursor does not move exactly as you wish. As repair is expensive, I bought a mouse. But still, when you type, if the touchpad is hit by accident, then as everything can get it done - for example, highlighting a group of words, movement, arrow page, etc. So, I would like to know if there is a function or any other means on this laptop (Compaq 2000) key to toggle the touchpad.   You can go ahead and uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the touchpad in Device Manager.

  To uninstall the touchpad drivers,

  a. Click Start, type device manager in the search box of start and press ENTER.

  b. search for mice and other pointing devices and expand the same.

  c. right click on the driver of the touchpad and choose uninstall.

  d. restart the computer, if prompted.
