Laptop HP Pavilion 17-f010us: HOW to ORDER RECOVERY DVD SET 17-f010us Pavilion laptop

Well, I broke one of my recovery disks. I made a set of 6.

Is it possible to order the recovery disks or make another game?

I ordered my laptop from Fingerhut, bad move because of the price.

There is no Windows sticker on the laptop.

I don't know if it's cheaper to buy an authentic disc from 8.1 to WIN or buy recovery discs?

I'm asking is because I want to sell this laptop and upgrade to a better laptop.

I want to reset to how I received it without wiping the drive hard so that the buyer can put it on their behalf. A warranty until June 30, 2015.

Any help appreciated.

    Hello

I like to use the recovery DVDs of product (T201651-GR) of my Satelite Pro 6100 on VmWare player, because I use openSUSE Linux as main operating system (not Windows installed on the hard disk).
I do like install and save hard disk laptop, so that to restore later inside the vmware. If it works?
I wonder if someone can tell me how to use my legal version of Windows XP on VmWare player?

    Thank you in advance,
    Bernd

    Hello

I doubt that it works with VmWare.
    Why?
Because the restore CD contains the ghost image files and you will need to boot from the recovery CD for installation.

So I see the chances of getting this job running VmWare.

  • Portege M500 - how to create recovery DVDs?

    Hi there :)

I bought Toshiba Portege M500. Anyone know how to create a CD/DVD of recovery on this model?

I installed the "recovery CD creator" but - I just can't create it. The only thing that came on the screen is: Qosmio Player recovery CD.

On the help page - there are instructions to create the disk - but the options were not available to me. (i.e. the system recovery disc option)

Help, please! I would really appreciate it!

    Sophie

    Hello

Portege M500 was equipped with HARD drive recovery option?
Did you find the information you need to create a recovery disk in the user's manual?

Where did you find the "Toshiba recovery CD creator"?
    This tool has been pre-installed?

I guess that there is no image on the HARD drive files that are needed to create the recovery disk Toshiba and so you can't create it.

  • No PAGE of ORDER recovery media! Takes the user into a LOOP, never has a possibility to ORDER DVD

When I go to the website of order recovery DVD for a6230n, he only model a6230la - not my specific model. It is a VERRRRRRRY confusion about 'Is THIS acceptable model to use as a model in which order my recovery DVD?' This IS WHY HP GOING out of BUSINESS - ILS * does [NOT] LIKE! * they don't care that you can NOT search for your SPECIFIC model; or which you are sent to an ETERNAL * LOOP * when you go to order recovery media! All they have is a BLADE VIDEO at THE BOTTOM, HOW to ORDER SUPPORT of RECOVERY; and that's just how TO * RECOVER *. Is NOT * how to order recovery media, with ZERO LINKS TO ORDER no matter WHAT MEDIA!

    glob,

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion a6230n. According to the specification, this model has been on sale on or around August 10, 2007. Here is the HP Pavilion a6230n Desktop PC drivers page for your computer. Normally, there will be a link with the control HP recovery under the initially installed operating system disks. Because this model is more than 6 years, HP is no longer support this model nor maintains an inventory of recovery disc for this model. This is why you can't order from HP recovery discs.

Please see the third party provider ComputerSurgeons.com to order recovery disc HP for your computer from HP a6230n.

  • Satellite A100 PSAA8: How to order the Toshiba XP-> Vista upgrade CD

    Hello

    I just bought a Satellite A100 (psaa8)
I found that a document indicates that I can move on to Vista and a link but it does not work.

So can you please help me with this, I got bored of XP.

I read that some members ordered a free vista CD.
Can you tell me how to order and it is good or bad?

    Hello

Remember that this offer is limited by the date! I think you're too late dude!
But why you're bored? The XP is the OS really friendly and fully compatible with all 3rd party devices!
Vista needs a lot more use as XP and runs slower than XP. If you want to play games on your laptop, I would recommend staying with XP! All games run faster under OS XP!

You know the Vista Customization Pack? This allows you to use XP but it looks like a Vista.
You know, the whole images, icons, etc. will transform the look of Vista.

It s nice and for people who wants to change the old XP style new style Vista ;)

  • Pavilion p6654y: ordered recovery disks have not shipped, HP incident status page says touch HP

So, I ordered a new set of recovery disks for my (out of warranty) Pavilion p6654y, I received a confirmation email and a CSO number. For about 2 weeks I got the confirmation of order, but records have not delivered. Also, I checked with my Bank and the money for the purchase has not yet released. I checked HP incident status page to see what was going on and he told me "contact HP". They don't have sent other emails not to mention that the order confirmation, so I'm stuck sort of just ask yourself what's the deal.

My problem is that I could not find any contact information for this kind of problem, does anyone know how I would go on to contact HP for a problem with an order for recovery disk?

    @crtibbs

Please use the Forum from HP Support. I brought your question to the team within HP. They are likely to ask for information from you to get your information or product serial number. Please search for a private message from a contact HP identified. Also, remember not to publicly display (numbers series and information).

  • How to order or download the system recovery software?

    Hello

Most HP laptops already have called the program "recovery manager" that is built into the laptop. This allows each user recover the laptop whenever they need to.

Now, there are some situations where you can not use the program from the desktop or even during the boot.

If this is the case for you, I'll post here how to order or download the system recovery software.

This video is very useful for users who cannot access the recovery Manger in windows or during boot.

I suggest, if you are unable to download the recovery image on a USB drive to call HP @8004746836. Order a recovery through HP disk might cost if you are no longer under warranty.

    Hope it will be useful.

  • How can need to order recovery disks, I know if I need to 32 or 64 bits without BONES?

I'm trying to fix someones laptop.  It's a g60 and they have no recovery disks.  The hard drive broke down so I can't use windows to find out if I need a 32-bit or 64-bit version.  HP Web site cannot determine this by model number, series or whatever it is and wonder which version I need when I try to order recovery disks.  He told me I should use windows to understand this.  (Why do I need to order recovery disks, if windows still worked?)  Anyway. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
