Laptop on the desk

I use a small computer Compaq Mini laptop - and I would like to move everything to my desktop or copy it to the pc, but I don't have any idea. Am I allowed to download 3 times, so everything is above board.  Can someone give me advice or instructions?  I don't want to destroy anything and I can't afford to take it anywhere. Thank you.

You will not be able to do, especially if the license (Windows 7) came preloaded on the Compaq Mini.

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

  • Transfer pictures to the laptop on the desk

Hi, I'm reasonably seasoned with Lightroom, but have just started using a laptop while traveling and loading the pictures on it in Lightroom. I would like to be able to work with photos on the laptop while traveling, including marking and setting the parameters, then transfer into my office catalogue and remove it from the laptop. Is there a text anywhere on how to do it? I searched the web, but come only with old posts of people who have developed workarounds. Any guidance would be appreciated!

On the laptop, select the photos you want in Lightroom (perhaps all), then check that use catalogue, order of menu file-> Export "are negative", select a location for the files to be written on.

On the desktop, open Lightroom, select file-> import from another catalog, and then select the catalogue created by the laptop.

  • Transfer CC Lightroom to laptop on the desk

I have a Lightroom CC installed on my laptop, but I want it on my desktop computer as well. Cannot find my serial number to do so. Anyone who can help me to do?

    Hello

You can have the creative cloud installed and signed in on two computers as long as you only use it on one at a time and you do not require a serial number. Download and install as you did on the first computer, sign in to your Adobe account on the Adobe using your Adobe ID website, download the desktop app from clouds, then download the software. Sign on a computer that should not be used: log in and log out of the desktop Adobe Creative Cloud application

You can download the installer for Creative Cloud from here:

No, the tests are related to the machine, what they are, but you can install the tests on your desktop, just as you did on the laptop... probably better to wait for the trial of the laptop is used first for the time-out more trial of them.

  • How to import bookmarks from the laptop to the desktop using Firefox 38.0 on both devices?

    Thank you

Pretty simple and easy, not only are there alternative methods, as is often the case in computing, but different methods produce different results.
Aid articles have more complete explanations with step by step instructions and screenshots.

You have the choice of four methods depending on what you're trying to reach. Ask you what set of bookmarks is the largest and most complex?

Import and export of the a.)
This adds bookmarks. It spikes on the existing ones. (For example, if the laptop: unsorted, folder of bookmarks and bookmarks are now additional folders in the existing desktop bookmarks menu.)
Useful to simply do what you asked: export the Favorites of the laptop and import those on the desktop.
However, if the office is new and has only a few bookmarks on it, but the laptop has the major then consider

    1. Export of the desktop as a HTML file.
    2. Backup of the laptop to create a .json file
    3. Restore the .json laptop on the desktop file.
    4. Follow-up to import HTML file
    • Office has now all the bookmarks of the laptop, as well as his own originals

    See

    (B) backup and restore
This procedure by report written all existing bookmarks. He retained the structure of folders and bookmark labels. Ideal if bookmarks of laptop are the only ones that you care. Or combine the two methods, as suggested above.

(C.) manually replace the bookmarks and the historical database.
Not what you asked but that also gets the history information.
This is useful if you often rely on the addessbar acting as the awesomebar

    (D.) sync
An alternative is to use Firefox Sync. Who should ensure that the laptop and the Office have the same bookmarks.
However if you do this save your bookmarks manually before the first sync bookmarks. I highly recommend that if synchronize you bookmarks you make regular manual backups too, because Sync itself can sometimes corrupt and duplicates of bookmarks. (If you do not notice this corruption quickly you can't have automated bookmarks that are free of corruption.)

  • TOSHIBA HDD/SSD Alert - do I need if I have my laptop on a desk?

Hello all, I guess my question is not on the HARD drive or the hardware itself, its subject the load or the process CPU usage alert hdd in my laptop. Fact it gives a heavy load for my memory?
Someone at - he noticed your laptop to be a bit slower when this option is enabled?
I know it's protection for my HARD drive, I understand that was a time when my laptop falls or is hit, the hard disk will fail and my HDD is damaged.
But how useful this app if I have my laptop on a desk all the time without danger?

Do you advise me to turn it off?

In general the TOSHIBA HDD/SSD Alert function must monitor the operating status of HARD drive and run the backup of the system. It is very useful, but certainly not so important, tool that must run all the time. It runs in the background, does not use the resources so and in fact there is no reason to stop it, only if you want.

    That recommend you?
In my opinion you should let it run. I have the Satellite P500 and it works all the time. I t n t n stop and I noticed a few performance bad/slow more laptop because of this.

  • Not able to save from the laptop to the office on a network.

    Hello

    I have 2 computers.

The #1 computer is a Dell XPS 400 desktop that running Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 with Service Pack 3 directly connected to a Linksys WRT54G wireless router with an Internet connection.

The #2 computer in a Dell Studio 1737 laptop running Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1, connect to the Internet and the desktop via the wireless router wirelessly.

I have no problem, go out to the internet or to see the files and folders that I've shared desktop so that I can pull them up and change them to the laptop.

The problem I have right now, it is that when I try to open, modify and then save a file on the desktop, I get an error message. Here are the steps that I tried to use a file TEST SAVE.txt that I created on the desktop in order to try to understand the problem.

    1. open the shortcut to my laptop in the folder that contains the TEST SAVE.txt. on my desk

    2. double-click on TEST SAVE.txt

    3. make a simple change in the document.

    4. choose Save in the file menu.

Using this method, I get this error message.

    "Unable to create file name\TEST \\computer name\directory SAVE.txt.
Make sure that the path and file name are correct.

I also tried by repeating steps 1 to 3 above, but by choosing RECORD under in the file menu drop-down. When I do this it tells me that the file already exists, and I want to replace it. When I choose yes I get another error message saying the same thing as above.

I checked to make sure that the files and folders on the desktop have been properly defined under attributes.

    No READ-ONLY checkbox.
    No hidden check box.

Still no luck. Prolly something simple that I forgot, but any help in this would keep a few gray hairs to show.

    Thank you

    Hi Vlad70,

Thanks for posting. Instead of using a shortcut to the file. Can you access the sharing, open it from there and see if you can save it?

  • I noticed that my user name in the C drive has disappeared and is displayed under the desk

original title: save files on the net / backup of the files in the C drive

These 20 to 30 days, I noticed that my user name in the C drive has disappeared and is displayed under the desk. In addition, whenever I try to save a file on the net on my laptop, this allows me to record only at this location:

    C:\Users\vijai\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Virtualized\C\Users\vijai\Documents

Also in the Solution Explorer, while all other folders category, like documents, pictures, music etc appear in the left panel, these do not appear in the right panel. I also note that a "Application Data" folder appeared under my user name and all files stored in this folder only.

Can someone help me solve this problem

You can try the following steps and check.

    Method 1:

You can try a system restore to a prior restore point before you have been affected by the issue.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

    Method 2:

If you are still facing problems then try creating a new user account and check if the problem occurs:

    Create a user account

  • transfer of Photoshop from the laptop to the desktop

When I bought my laptop, it came with pre-installed photoshop. I have now upgraded to a desktop computer and I want to get my photoshop from my laptop on my desk, but I don't know how. Can someone let me know if I can do this and how please?

Whether or not it is legitimate to do depends on the arrangement you have with the person who has installed the software on your laptop.  It is possible that the software is intended only for the machine on which it was installed.  You should check with the person who sold you the software to determine the terms of its use compared to your laptop compared to other machines.  If they don't has not provided you with the installation media, and then it will probably be the case you need to contact them in order to acquire the same software for resettlement.
