  • Computer laptop Toshiba Windows 7 gives a cooling problem system error and advises the immediate stop

    Hello

My laptop Toshiba Satellite L670-BT2N25, running Windows 7 message "System error" on a cooling problem, advising the immediate closure and return for service.  It seems to come on 10 to 20 minutes after coming out of hibernation or restart. Second series of apparitions that seems to follow a windows update that makes me think it's a software problem. The machine is clean, clean physically so not due to dust or poor maintenance.

Pop-up - message is constant and annoying. Machine feels hot anywhere. Never stopped because they say it would make if he got to the hot wire.

I do not play, video or use heavily for long periods... no trend about the programs you are running or use.

    Appreciate any help

I had this happen to me, and is not actually a problem with the cooling fan. There is a problem with Toshiba is going to happen if you have an update waiting in the Toshiba Service Station. Open this program and update everything he tells you. This is what fixed my problem.

  • Laptop Toshiba Windows 8 failure to configure the updates... Returning from endless loop

I bought a new laptop (Toshiba Satellite C55-A5281) with window 8.  Once through the new normal computer set up, I saw that there were 108 updates for Windows 8.  Yes, it's a hundred and eight!  OK, may as well do before loading anything on the new computer, right?

Hours and hours later... I was always in an infinite loop.  I've been through all this hit F8 once forcing them to close and restart upward... then made the deal of refreshing to try to fix.  Then, I started the whole update process on and got the same thing... Hours later, once again.  I actually let it run all night.  Same ugly loop once again.

Maybe doing 102 updates at the same time, it is not a good idea.  But I have no idea of those who to try to do first.  Or exactly how just a little at a time.  And if I have to do one at a time, and each takes hours, I can't live that long...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I knew before Windows 8 would be a challenge... but unfortunately it seems a lot harder than I expected.

I did the full restore... and then did a full reformat reset it all back at the factory.

Then I did some updates at once instead of 102 all at once.  It took forever, but seems to work.  Then I got a notice of update to Windows 8.1.  I did that as well (took hours) and everything seems to work now.  I have probably 20 hours of downloading (and wait) and the download time (and waiting) with this.  I hope it's over and I can go on living it normal.

  • Installed new hard drive on laptop with Windows 7 can install Windows XP on external hard drive and plug it into USB?

Original title: Win7 Pro + HD Ext different OS
I just installed a new hard drive in my laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
Would it not be possible to install WIn XP or Win 98 + older software (Win 98 or XP) on an external hard drive, then plug it into USB, laptop, in order to run old programs of 16-32 bit?

It would be best to run Windows 98 or XP in a Virtual Machine, if you need to run older programs.

You can use a free software such as Oracle VirtualBox or VMware Player:

I recently bought a new laptop from Toshiba with Windows 8.  I have a 5 year old, but I like it, HP Photosmart 7200 Series C.  I can not get the CD to download on the new laptop - he says that he does not meet the requirements of the system.  I downloaded from the internet, but do not have the ability to perform tasks of the laptop - want to do analysis or checking ink levels, etc.  Scanning is a problem since I often use this feature and it is so much easier and faster to scan from the screen of the laptop to the printer/scanner.  Thank you for all the ideas.

Has worked like a charm - you're my hero!  It's ongoing struggle for a few months and you got the solution!  Thank you so much...

    Hello

-How are you trying to shut down the computer?

-You receive an error message when you attempt to shut down the computer?

-Did you do changes on the computer before this problem?

Method 1: Run the troubleshooter of performance since the link and if that helps.

    Open the troubleshooter of Performance

    Method 2:
Step 1: Start the computer Safe Mode and check if it helps.
Start your computer in safe mode

  • Since another laptop Toshiba Satellite L300 - can I use Recovery CD?

    Hello

    I can't get a computer to load Vista (Equium l300 (I think).
Ubuntu loads very well (I have a linux partition 8 GB, with GRUB installed in a separate partition), but when I try to load vista I get "to go". "and nothing happens.

I tried HDDRecovery by pressing '0' or 'F8', but this gave me a check disk for errors and nothing more.
I always have a backup of HARD drive recovery in another partition, but I know not where to place them, can you tell me where?

Then I discovered that I have a wife satellite toshiba recovery disc.

I can use it to recover the satellite or it will remove a real installation of Vista, put a 'pirate' new copy in its place?
If I can't do that, can someone tell me where to place the folder HDDRecovery image?

In General, Toshiba create materials recovery and images of recovery for each laptop model separately.
Each laptop model has different hardware and recovery images are not the same.
Before the start of recovery it will be checked if the recovery image belongs to some portable computers. If the identification is not just installation of recovery is interrupted.

One last thing. If you have changed the structure of the partitions or installed some other OS, you will not be able to use the recovery saved on the HARD disk image.
It is bad enough that you have ignored the reminder of recovery with clear instructions on creating recovery DVDs.

    Here is the original post:
    Important INFORMATION

your system is equipped with a hard drive recovery system. If you need to repair
your computer in the restaurant to original factory State, you can do it directly
hard disk (press F8 when you start your computer, choose "Repair your computer"
and follow the instructions in the menu) or create a media drive bootable recovery for this purpose.

Toshiba recommends you create recovery disk medium using the "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator"
to ensure that you are able to restore your computer to the original factory, installed state
even if your computer is seriously damaged.
