But when I click it, it says "control panel extension is incompatible with the version of the driver," and once I click ok it kicks me out of the next page.

How to restore two scrolling settings figure?

    Hi Bianca96!

I understand that you are having problems with your two fingers to scroll contact on your tablet.

Did you take a glance at our article on the HP support site that treats of the "If use you the touch pad or click in win 10? You can find this article at http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04648748

If this is not enough, I would suggest that you uninstall the device (via Device Manager) and software, and then reinstall. You can also run your HP Support Assistant to ensure that all of your drivers and firmware are up to date.

Finally, I would go into the BIOS on the main tab and press the F9 key to restore the default settings.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download the latest installer driver Synaptics, on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63975.exe

Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and choose uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has completely recharged, open your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

When windows has reloaded, you may now need to configure the options require you (Pinch Zoom, edge slides etc.) for the touchpad - open windows control panel, open the mouse, select the tab settings of the ClickPad, then click the button settings ClickPad.

  • Pavilion ab523tx: on the new laptop touchpad problem

I bought a new computer hp laptop ab523tx yesterday and noticed touchpad is not working as it should. his works well when I use gesture and type at the center of the toucpad but when I tap on the edges (the four banks), or type works nor gestures.

is this manufacturing defect or it is just the case for all laptops to the ab hp series?

Also, there is gap between the keyboard and the low basis common base.

No this does not happen with any laptop especially with the ab series because I myself use ab219tx. And it is the touchpad works very well also on the edges.

Your problem is because obsolete or non-drivers. Try to update your drivers to touch. If you still facing problem after update of drivers so this could be a hardware fault. Then you must visit the hp service center or ask the seller to replace the laptop

    Hello

    Try the following.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode with Networking" and press ENTER.  When it has loaded, download driver Synaptics following, and save it in your downloads folder.

Once finished, click on the Start Menu, open windows control panel, open programs and features, the Synaptics Pointing Device driver right click and choose uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the computer and let Windows load normally, then open your Downlads folder and run the installer downloaded Synaptics previously - when it is finished, restart the laptop.

  • Laptop Touchpad on Dell Vostro 1015 computer freezing.

Touchpad on Dell Vostro 1015 keeps freezing. When I turned off the laptop for a while, he worked for about 10 seconds and then stop working again. What can I do?

    Hello

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: install the latest Windows Vista compatible touchpad drivers for your laptop by downloading from the Dell Support website and check if that helps:

You can download the drivers for the touchpad from following link:

    http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=W732&catid=7&dateid=-1&impid=-1&osl=EN&typeid=-1&formatid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=VOS_N_1015&hidos=WLH&hidlang=en&TabIndex=&scanSupported=True&scanConsent=False

Method 2: Try these steps described in the article in support of Dell and check if it helps.

Mouse, keyboard or the Touchpad works not properly:

    http://support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/KCS/document?docid=277550

Note: Follow the steps for the "Troubleshooting a keyboard or a touch pad integrated into the laptop.

If the problem persists, then it would be best to contact Dell for assistance.

    Dell support: http://support.Dell.com/

    Hope it will be useful.

  • Computer laptop touchpad inversion of two fingers to scroll

Touchpad of my laptop allows two fingers to scroll, but it's counterintuitive, because when I shoot down, the screen scrolls upward, and when I push upwards, scrolls the screen to the bottom. Windows 7 Dell Latitude E6540

I don't have a Dell but, you may need to verify that you have the latest touchpad drivers supported for your PC. For example, see http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN294988/EN , which is for an E7240 E7440 3340, but it does not "for systems with Windows 7, the latest touchpad driver must be installed. Earlier versions of this driver Windows 7 do not include the directional adjustment'. So maybe it's the case for your E6540?

  • HP laptop touchpad not working not

My laptop computer HP touchpad stopped working after a clean install of windows 7. The LED for white touch pad permanently but fires it does not work completely.

The laptop model is HP Pavilion dv5.

The original operating system was windows Vista.

It seems that you install some or all drivers for your laptop computer's hardware once you did a clean installation of Windows 7.

    Go to http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

If you are able to do with the laptop in question, click the button "identify now.

If, as I suspect, you are not able to access Internet with this laptop, enter your model number.  You need to be more specific than the dv5 Pavilion.  There should be another series of numbers and letters after dv5.  For example, if you have a HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx notebook, you'd end up this page-->

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-dv5-1200-entertainment-notebook-PC-series/3744212/model/3860524#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930C7

The driver for your tablet would be located under "Driver - keyboard, mouse and input devices."  For the above example, this is the "Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad driver."

You need to install most of the other drivers as well.  If there is a category with multiple choices, such as the driver for the wireless network adapter, you will need to determine the type of device you have by looking in Device Manager.

  • G6 laptop Touchpad No Light & does not work

Hi This is my first post

I searched the rest of the forum before making this post and tried all the other suggestions without success

    Information System

    Laptop HP Pavilion G6

    #ABU product number A5H09EA

    Serial number 5CD14477ZK

    64-bit version of Windows 7

    Problem

When windows starts on the touchpad light is not lit.  It is not turned on and does not turn on the use of the method 'double tap' in the upper left of the touchpad or the small circular ' indentation.

Since it stopped working I updated the drivers for the touchpad, and no change happened

Sometimes the 'right click' and works of drop-down list button and the menu appears, but no other function works.

Sometimes the touchpad works for a short period, but it is "intermittent" and slow and unresponsive.

Any help you could provide would be appreciated

    Hello

First, download the latest installer driver Synaptics, on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp53501-54000/sp53851.exe

Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and choose uninstall.

When this is finished, stop the laptop.

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Tap here to f10 as soon as you press the power button to enter the menu of the bios.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

When windows has completely recharged, open your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once done, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, see if now hold the fn key and pressing the SPACEBAR will illuminate the TouchPad.

There are also other configurable options here.

  • How to activate the scrollbars on a Lenovo laptop touchpad

I use a Lenovo E531 for laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and I accidentally disabled the touchpad scroll. I tried everything, but it still does not work. Is there anyone here who knows how to fix this?

The touchpad scrolling could have been disabled by the system to return to a very basic driver or via user input by adjusting the options in the configuration of the touchpad utility,.

Click Start or press the Windows key and type mouse select it mouse section of the control panel from the list above. In the mouse properties dialog box, go to the Touchpad tab to see if you can open the Lenova Touchpad utility.
If you do not get satisfaction to locate or using the Lenova Touchpad utility, go to the E531 Lenova support site and download the latest drivers and utilities for your machine. I checked and the Lenova site seems to list as a ThinkPad Edge E531. Reason for exclusion of the webbot site, you will need to locate the model yourself from the link below.
  • Computer Dell laptop Touchpad - how to disable?

I saw the answers anywhere on the web, but none works.  When you click on "mouse" in the Control Panel, there isn't a "touchpad" tab  We have NO function key, we have disabled the driver in "Device Manager" and the touchpad still works.  We have removed the pilot, the touchpad still works.  We have updated Windows... nothing.

Help me!!!  Thank you, Alabama LALAW

Not all laptops have a way to disable the touchpad.  Some, especially older models, don't.
If there is a solution, it will only apply to your model.

I suggest that you visit the User Guide that you can get from Dell.

  • HP Pavilion DV7 laptop: Touchpad, sometimes active, even when the power button is pressed on off (light orange)

I use a wireless mouse (or a wired mouse) preferably instead of the touchpad.   The touchpad has a power button to press - white light indicates on and off Orange light.    After booting, I usually disable the touchpad and mouse wireless, however, sometimes when you type I realize my palms are contacting the touchpad and the cursor jumps around accordingly.    The touchpad is disabled (orange light) but I can control it with a finger, it works like its supposed to as if it is enabled.     Any ideas?   I have not downloaded a driver updated or do anything to try to solve this problem, as I fear, it could actually cause other problems.

Update the driver it is the usual Council for problems - that is the solution here?   Has anyone else had a similar problem.    Most of the touch pad problems I've read is in regards to an erratic touchpad - nothing to do with 'on' or 'off' problems.

    HI @WayneCM,

Thank you for your inquiry. I will do my best to help you!

I understand that you use the power button / stop to turn off the touchpad.  Sometimes, you will notice that your palm is in contact with it and the cursor is accordingly jump around but the rest light orange, to show that he has disabled.  Here is a link for HP Notebook PCs - using the touchpad and ClickPad (Windows 10). Please review the section on "Open the properties of the ClickPad" in figure 4, you'll see there's a button where you can disable the touchpad, until you want to reactivate it. Please let me know if this helped.
