Re: HP laptop touchpad does not work after uninstall of kaspersky anti-virus (version of windows 7 32)

Hello when I removed Kaspersky Antivirus, my HP 110.3135DX notebook touchpad does not work (Windows 7 in 32 version). can someone help me solve this problem?

Hello

Try the following.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode with Networking" and press ENTER.  When it has loaded, download driver Synaptics following, and save it in your downloads folder.

http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp49501-50000/sp49601.exe

Once finished, click on the Start Menu, open windows control panel, open programs and features, the Synaptics Pointing Device driver right click and choose uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the computer and let Windows load normally, then open your Downlads folder and run the installer downloaded Synaptics previously - when it is finished, restart the laptop.

Kind regards

DP - K

    Besides what abdelhak says:

The message of PXE boot that you receive when you start your computer has nothing to do with your CD/DVD-Rom drive. Your computer uses a PXE boot method to attempt to load Windows from a location on your network. Since you do not have this configuration, it is safe to ignore it. If it slows down the startup time of your system, contact your manufacturer and ask them for instructions on how to "disable PXE Network Boot of the BIOS.

    Hope this helps,

Can you help me solve the my problem please?

    HI Jorge,.

If you have reinstalled your system using the Toshiba recovery disks the touchpad should have the right drivers and be fully functional. I seem to remember that it is possible to disable the touch pad using one of the "keyboard shortcuts" (F9 on my SA30) in order to check that it has not been inadvertently pressed.

I just bought this new laptop. I have updated to Windows 8 Windows 10. Everything worked fine before the update. I am now active on Windows 10 and the mouse pad does not work. Initially, the entire mouse pad not working, I couldn't even move the mouse on the screen. I had a play around in the settings and have managed to get the work of the mouse, but now the button of mosuepad. I searched around the computer for the settings to solve this problem, but I had no luck.

Please any help would be great, begin teaching and could do with getting this issue sorted.

    Thank you!

You need to uninstall the driver for the touchpad (MOMENTUM or Synaptics)
    After that, restart the laptop...

You can also try to update the driver in Device Manager... but the unit must be connected to the internet...

  • Satellite A300-20 b - Touchpad does not work after BIOS update

I've updated the BIOS on my Satellite A300-20 b latest version 2.00. Update succeeded, but when I rebooted system touchpad has stopped working.

I tried to find the solution, resettled drivers (windows XP system). In the Windows Device Manager there is no problem with Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad, I see. Software Synaptics shows no problem I can enable and disable the touchpad, but it does not work for the touchpad. I tried Linux live CD and in this system does not work as good touchpad. I think there is problem in this version of the BIOS.

Does anyone have the same problem?

    Hey Buddy,

Have you tried to turn the touchpad on or off if you press FN + F9? Check this please!
Also, try to load the default settings in the BIOS.

What happens if you connect an external mouse to the laptop? It work?

I can t imagine that the BIOS update causing this problem. If it doesn't work, you need to contact a service provider for help. They can check the touchpad and replace.

  • Satelite U920T-100 - touchpad does not work after, sign in

The touchpad of my U920T-100 satellite works when the lap top is launched upward, but 10 seconds after I connected the touchpad no longer works.

I tried all the stuff that posted to the FAQ:
    -disconnect all other devices
-external mouse works, but once it has been cut the Tablet is "dead."
-Fn + F9 does not work
-checked touch pad settings: nothing unusual
-removed and reinstalled touch pad drivers three times: no results, the problem still exists.

When the lap top is started in safe mode, the touchpad works again (and continues to work), so probably a program blocking the touchpad when the lap top is started normally.

Don't know where to go from here. Does anyone have a suggestion on how this problem could be solved?

    Thnx & friend,
    René

    *@reineilers*

The touchpad can be enabled and disabled using the * keys FN + F5 * combination and not Fn + F9 that you have published in your original post above.

Please try FN + F5 (or just F5) key!
This enables and disables the touchpad.

  • On NEW laptop keyboard does not work after that the screen keyboard has been activated and then deactivated.

Look at my friend got a new laptop and went through the whole upward. the on-screen keyboard has been activated which invalidates the real keyboard when the on-screen keyboard has been disabled the real keyboard has NO return. If this is a bug... Fix it. This is not a driver issue, it is not a user error. Stop giving people answers, trying to pretend like it's not not the OS when most people already know that it is.

I'm sorry, but I didn't not new meant only one day.  And when I got my new laptop, one of the first things I did was to create a point of files, even a day later I had a restore to use - point and that was possible here as well.  I'm sorry it wasn't the case.

If the system restore option is not available, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not work, you can try to go into the BIOS during the startup (the key appropriate to push appear on the screen to enter the boot menu or boot installation - try them both in turn if both appear. It is possible that the BIOS contains an option to disable the keyboard (which may have been activated by the keyboard on the screen but not changed when disable you the on-screen keyboard) and you may need to re-enable manually.  There is a slight possibility, but it is an option to try.

Another option to try is to set up a new user account that has never used the keyboard on the screen and see if the regular keyboard works when you connect to this account.  If so, you can simply treat the original as a corrupt account account and use the following procedures to complete the transfer.  To fix this use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.

I hope that one of these aid procedures.  I'm sorry if they seem to 'generic', but we do not really know what is the problem - especially since the system is new.  We try and identify the cause and fix the problem at the same time using the procedures available to us.  I suspect there's a registry tweak will correct this problem, but I went through the whole registry, and although I found several referencers keyboard, I could find no which seemed to control or not activate the main laptop keyboard (though it has been in one of the entries that has been encoded in binary that I couldn't read).  It's possible someone who knows more about the registry will respond to this issue with a proposal to amend (or perhaps another solution).

I hope that one of the solutions I proposed works.  Please post back in all cases we will know whether or not to continue searching for an answer.

    Good luck!
