Laptop won't turn on, flashing lights

Hello

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6z-1100 sound running a 64 bit version of windows 7 Home premium, and recently, he stopped at boot the system successfully. While being used, all of a sudden the screen went dead (without warning) and the computer turned off. To try to reactivate (while being connected to the power adapter) the computer turns on, the screen would have died stay and num/caps lock lights flashing regularly at an interval of 3 seconds.

I had been doing some notifications that my battery was less than the optimum capacity. After having this error before, I just ignored it and used the cord for the majority of my use of the laptop. My family has a similar laptop that I have taken the battery, interlaced for my friends and still couldn't turn on.

Any suggestions? I'm sure it's out of warranty.

I tried all the simple fixes, try reset hard and other.

Sounds like a hard drive problem. Get out of your drive hard and leave overnight in the freezer.

OK... I learned to get the motherboard changed. How much it will cost in India for my laptop?

What do you suggest I should do?

How much will it cost in India?  I have no idea. I live in Europe.

I suggest to ask a repair shop of PC or laptop.

If the cost of repair is more than 50% of the current value of the laptop, you would be better sourcing of a notebook replacement.

Have you tried to connect the laptop to a power adapter and then gently shake the power adapter connection to see if the power led blinks on and outside?

Who will let you know if the problem is the connector of the DC adapter on the motherboard. They are not lacking.

Brand new XPS 8900 Win 10 won't turn on, flashes yellow 2 times power made a break of 7 times pauses then resumes.

I've not seen a chart explaining flashing power on the 8900 XPS button codes. And there is nothing in the Manual.

You need to contact Dell tech support immediately. You have 21 days from the date of billing (no delivery date) to pick them up. And then you can order another.

Otherwise, technical support should work with you to solve the problem under warranty on this system.

If you are comfortable working inside the case, it is possible that something got its place potted during shipping. Then you can try reseating the RAM and PCI-e cards modules and cables between motherboard and drives and connection etc. Don't forget to read the instructions on the inside of your PC use in the manual before opening the case.

  • spectrex360: Start button / stop / flashing laptop won't turn on

I just got the HP spectrum x 360 on the Store of MS (signature edition). The power button on the side flashes and it won't turn. I know that the battery is charged, because it is connected and there is a connedtion that the led is lit when the power cord is connedted to the laptop. But the power button continues to blink and I can't turn on the computer. I tried to tap on the screen and the Microsoft keyboard key. Any way to reset this? Thank you

OK, I found the answer. It was a hard reset. Just hold the Start button for 20 seconds (or until it no longer flashes) then wait a bit and you can restart the laptop.

I have a Satellite A215 who just won't turn on. I have the blue light flash on the power cable and battery. I tried to take out the battery and memory.
I tried to use only the power cord power, but with no luck please please help got all my pics on laptop and it won't just turn

Have you tried a different memory location? On some PCs, you must have a Module of memory in the first place. Otherwise, it does not start.

If this does not work, then the motherboard or video card might be faulty. Take it to a Service Center for repair.

  • Laptop won't turn on (only for a second)

First of all sorry for my English

I have a laptop DV6541ev and since yesterday it won't turn.

When I press the power button the lights come on for less than a second, and then the computer to turn off.

Turns on the power indicator when the power cord is connected to the laptop.

I confirmed that too many others.

  • Laptop won't turn on after the new battery.

A few days ago, when I got home, I found that my VAIO VPCF1290x of 3 years was dead. The battery indicator has been telling me to get a new battery, but I thought it would be enough for now.

Problem: Laptop wouldn't turn on after pressing the power button.

    (1) with the adapter and the battery still in my laptop, by pressing the power button does not turn on my laptop. However when I press the power button, green light battery (the button itself) indicator on for about a second, then dimmed quickly.

    (2) after reading some forums, I decided to fill my laptop into the battery button for a good 30 seconds trying to turn slot WITH the adapter. It turned on my laptop, but it took a good 2-3 seconds for the laptop to make all sounds as if it was about to start.

I have since then bought a new battery and a reason that my laptop lights at all. When I connected my new battery to condition it green button energy came on again for about one second then disappeared.

I don't know what's the matter with my computer and would like to help. I KNOW that I should probably get repaired but would like an idea as to why my laptop behaves like a *.

    EDIT *.

To give more information, when I have the OLD battery placed in the computer of the battery indicator is a constant flashing orange.

With the NEW battery sony return the same thing occurs when the battery light constantly blinks orange.

    What I've tried;

Hung still no display on an external monitor

Removed and reinstall the memory and hard drive, not good.

Tried the hard reset, not good.

I put another hard drive just to see if the disc was not, but no difference.

There is no audible beeps at all. It does not seem to go through the checkpoint.

  • HP G62-b50em: laptop won't turn on

Last night so I was using my laptop it suddenly stopped without error or message. It was not overheating, as it is on for about 15 minutes. I could not reactivate afterwards. The charging light on like everything is normal. Battery was full and laptop was plugged. When I try to turn it on with pressing the power on button, the button flashes for about half a second, maybe even less, the fan starts running at the same time, light that indicates this laptop is connected, one I mentioned earlier, shuts down and that's it, nothing happens. I tried the hard reset, but it did not help. What could be the problem? Laptop is about 4 years old.

Unfortunately the laptop is not under warranty. So one of those two things probably to it?

The thing is maybe a year ago, it's the same thing (sorry that I did not mention that he earlier, earlier recall as I had a lot of trouble with this laptop before, cannot follow more) and the problem was the motherboard. I can't rememer if the symptoms are the same, but I remember laptop is not able to turn on. From what I was told, the motherboard has been replaced since at that time, it was still under warranty. I really hope that this isn't the same thing again. As I don't have the luxury of waiting more than a month.

Is this what can I do with it?

    Hey,.

In my opinion, there is nothing that you can do it sounds like a bad material work because Windows installation doesn t affect the startup procedure until Windows starts so you have a hardware problem.

What you can try is the following:

If it doesn t work you need professional help from technicians of laptop I think

  • laptop HP dv7t-4100 Ww185av: laptop won't turn on

My laptop was working fine until recently. Two days ago, I was in a hotel room, wor king on my laptop and everything was fine. Then I plugged it later and tride to make it back on and got no response. Is the only thing that happens, whenever I press the power button, the light blue right next to the entrance of the power cord blinks 3 times. The battery is useless on this laptop for years, and I essentially plug it everywhere wherever I'm going. I'm fine dealing with who, as this laptop is aging, but I really need to access all my five holes out there.

I tried the reset, options by removing the battery, and you try to start like that. The only thing I see are the lights flashing and nothing else. The screen remains black, no disc hard sounds, etc. Looking to get a new AC adapter, I want to ensure that this is the right way to go. And I also want to double check the plug so I do not get the wrong adapter (if that's the real problem).

If I need a new adapter, I want information on the power. I guess I got the replacement has been more low power the my original. I think I went from 90 to 65, and I kept getting warnings that things can run more slowly. I did not notice too much of a difference, but it might one of these things, that I'm used to and a higher power supply can be a good thing. I look forward to your responses and express my thanks in advance!

  • Pavilion DV2500: my HP pavilion DV2500 laptop won't turn on but displays an indication that his load

Hi, please I really need help on my laptop. I try to turn on but the switch does not work, but it shows only the only blue light which indicates that its charge every time that I plug. I really don't know what could be wrong, but its really sad because I have a lot of important things on this PC, I need an immediate answer on what it takes to this topic please

You mean you can get a new motherboard? Yes, but all motherboards AMD for this series have problems. They are not news so all of them were made at the same time and are subject to the same problems. It is now quite obsolete. A new motherboard will cost perhaps $135. There are services on the internet that will repair the motherboard for as little as $50 if you can remove it and ship just the motherboard. You could get another year or so out of it, if you do this. Personally, I would say computers laptops have come a long way since 2009 when your was carried out and for about $500, you can get good news. I can't really predict exactly what laptop model will suffer no problems on the road. In General, if you want more reliability then think on one of the business models, but you look at closer to $1,000 for one of those.

    Post back with more questions.
