  • Problem trying to crop a large map?

Here's my problem, I can not understand. I work on a map of great State (25 inches x 35 inches), but wish only to show a city and its streets. I won't show 95% of the rest of the card. Problem is how (or can it?) the unused map? When I recorded in jpeg format and open in PhotoShop to crop it appears blurry after I harvest.

    Any tips or suggestions?

    Thank you

    Just try this.

    1. your group card.

    2. draw a reactangle for your area you want on the card.

    3. Select your card and the rectangle.

    4 make a clipping mask

    5. go in the transparency palette. and 99% transparncy difficulty.

    6 select all.

    7. Select object > flatten transparency, the value 100 in Raster or vector balance. Check her preserve overprints and spot colors.

    Now your work is cropped...

But your tracks objects are developed.

  • Larger map SDXC

Anyone who has used a to the SlateBook 2 x 128 GB SDXC card?

A 128 GB SDXC card works fine in the SlateBook 10 X 2.  The only place where I found that it doesn't work is if you are in RECOVERY mode.  In this situation the Tablet resumes the 32 GB factory specifications.  Which means, if you plan to install something recovery you will first need to put it on a 32 GB microSD card.

  • Map of blackBerry Smartphones transfer Media to the device memory

I have a few rings I bought and you want to transfer. I update the Mem Card a 8 GB of the 120 MB and you must place these ringtones on the device memory and then put in a larger map and then transfer to the Mem card. Can someone give me some step by step directions if possible. Thank you as always. Eldon

The media icon > Explore > go to your desired ringtone and don't open it, just highlight it > Menu > move.

From there you access the memory of your device and drop it into the similar ringtone folder.

You can also copy off your ringtones on your PC by allowing the storage of mass on your media card Options > Media Card.

Then plug your BB to the USB port and you should be an option for a removable folder in my computer on your PC.

  • Creating a larger than partion HV / 3GB on HV Virtual drive C220 3 ML

I have a C220 system which features a SD card 16 GB with four partitions installed/configured, HV, UCS, drivers and HUU, I would install Xenserver on the partition of the HV, but due to the 16 GB required to install this is not possible.

I would like to know if I am able to do the following:

    • Format the SD card and place it in the server, if I turn the HV partition in the BIOS I can assume that the card is empty it will allow me to use all the 16 GB to install or it will not see the card until I set up different partitions using the UCS?
    • If such is the case if you get a larger map say 32 GB and should add the HV with UCS score as well as four other partitions is a way of distribution (more) unallocated to HV partition free space.

    Thank you.

If you upgraded your server at least 1.5 (4) the only other thing you need to do is to reset the flash default flex (see attached screenshot) xxxx, once you do this you will see that the 1 partition.

  • 8600 AIO will not adapt to the page of sites like mapquest maps.

Don't know what happenend, everything was fine, but all of a sudden my 8600AIO will not expand or adapt to the cards that I am posting on the websites of the page.  Even large maps on Mapquest print on a 4 x 4 block on a sheet of standard paper.  There is no settings I can change to expand or adapt to the page.  All of the suggestions.  Thank you

    Hi rrstu,

I want to help you to be able to print with did it to page and/or expand features. I have a few questions to help us.

    • What browser are you using, and have you tried another browser?
    • When you print, you choose file, print or you choose the small printer icon on the web page that gives you the easy to print?
    • Please guide me through the steps you take to print.

I have played around with Map Quest and Internet Explorer and have found a way to make it work.

In fact, I had to, click the printer icon little, not file print, and then click the new window/tab, I pointed out the map, click file print preview and changed the settings. Settings the most important was to choose as selected on the screen at the top. For the card that I'm viewing the best settings to use is the landscape, and basically, you need to change the size according to your needs. Adjust makes it seem small for me, I changed it to 150% it it looked perfect. Basically, I don't think it's a problem with the printer, I suspect that the problem is related to settings in the program you are printing from.

To test the printer, you can make a copy of the front and choose the option to enlarge the image. If it works we know that's not the printer at the origin of the problem.

  • Conditional mapping question

    Hi all

We have what I consider a large mapping project where we combine business number and of the two UD in a 'result '.  The number of combinations is going to be very large.  I think we need to use 'Like' and create a script longer than wil repeat for each company.

Other ideas for anyone who may have encountered this problem?

    Thank you.

you run Classic FDM or FDMEE?

can you give us more details on the mapping logic?

in FDMEE you have type of multidimensional mapping.

in FDM according to your logic of mapping, you can use different solutions. Take into consideration that you can concatenate values from the source in your import format. This way your mappings may be easier.

If you have a large amount of data to import, I recommend using a SQL script from script of the event instead of the mapping of VB script.

  • Design of images of the map

are there good ground rules in the design of your card images?

How do determine you the "live space" for the image of your card?  to make your design not get trimmed or cut?

At that time, DPS 2015 does the following:

-The aspect ratio card format and image (for the top, left and right image) determine the shape and size of the image under the influence of size of card (column & row) and the proportions of the provision.

-L'image of the map (for articles, banners and collections) is adjusted to fill the area of the image of the map, then centered and cropped.

General orientation is to use a large images for all images in the card so that you get a good result for the large maps as well as small cards.

But the main focus at this point is to be very aware of what is at the center of the image. "Artsy" rule of third-party images will not survive.

There is an interaction between these factors and you have to play with the design of card to make your work plan. Make graphics for a wide and short card image fill the maximum space of a map may take some fiddling with serious at first. Look at the scale to fill the result very carefully.

N.B. - the brand image is treated differently.

Brand image is adjusted to adapt, instead of the scale to fill. We do not crop the image of brand.

  • CS6 won't let me not resize large images?

I use Photoshop CS6 to mount and export a series of tiles of very high resolution. Long story short, they will be used to catch a large map in a mobile application.

I have a very tight deadline, and I just was stopped in my tracks by an error I get when I try to intensify.

Each tile is a multilayer of PSB, 16384 x 16384px at 72 dpi, approximately 2-3 GB in size. All I want to do is scale up to double their size - 32768 x 32768px.

When I try to do that, I get the error, "could not complete the command Image size because the result would be too large."

What it exactly means in terms of size (size of the file or pixel dims)? What is the problem?

Since I work at the PSB format and I'm resizing within the 300 000px limit, I do not understand why I am not allowed to evolve up to 32768px.

I need to keep the layers as smart objects for their high-end... so not flatten.

Everything I can think of is to split the files into smaller tiles, but who will probably drive crazy me (I currently have 28 tiles high range).

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

There the elements beyond the canvas? (To verify that you can use Image > reveal all.)

  • Assemble maps in PDF format

I work with topographic maps of large (38 inches x 28 inches). These PDF maps have geospatial location incorporated (possibly under form a layer) during which is very convenient when in the field using a Tablet and this who do not.

I'm looking for a way to replace these cards together (6 total) for a large map of shape of the region, in that I work.

I currently use Adobe Acrobat X (not Pro) and I have access to Photoshop CS3, but after playing with it, I found after import and assemble images, CS3 does not allow me to export (save under) a PDF file and maintain critical geospatial location data.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

The ability to edit or save geospatial coordinates in a PDF file is no longer available in Acrobat X, it can only read and display the data in existing documents. Acrobat 9 Pro Extended was the last version to support publishing and recording geoPDF. You will need to use GIS software to create and export your geoPDF files, such as ESRI.

Geospatial data are not supported in Photoshop.

  • Google Map in MSO problem

    Hello

I'm a code Google Map integrating a web overlay in a pop-up MSO. Specifically, copy the following code:

Now, I'm pretty sure that a TEST .folio page will not produce a file over 1 GB. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

    I use the tools V19 and CS5.

    I guess that's because I'm using < iframe >?

  • No way for my image map links to stay?

On my site, I think using a large map image with 12 hot spots (mostly thumbnails of images and text links).

The problem is, if I still change an image / inch, then I must generate a new imagemap and redo all 12 links hotspot everywhere.

    Very tedious.

The good side is that I can then swap images and do other creative things in Photoshop with layers etc. And the fonta are more abundant.

I'd like to hire a Web Designer to (html / CSS) all for me, allowing me to Exchange on the right thumb in dreamweaver.

So my simple question is this: is there a way I don't know who the DW, could remember the hotspot links during the removal and replacement of a card image large? Thank you.

Yes, just do not delete the image first... Just replace using the Properties Inspector.

  • Plotter of selfs of large print files

Sometimes in printing intensive Illustrator CS3 and CS4 files memory with photos for a large plotter HP, the files do not print. For not to stifle the plotter, is it possible to print the Illustrator file a little at the same time for the same piece of paper? The parties will all have to line up perfectly. I think remember that in older versions of Illustrator, there is a parameter called something like 'split long paths' what impression, or such a thing, but I cant find it in the print dialog box.

If you have Acrobat and Distiller, I found Acrobat printing to be much faster at printing large files. I work with very large maps which were > 50 000 objects in them and I found print directly from Illustrator excruciatingly slow. I usually save a copy a profit per action (usually v.8) and distill the EPS to PDF and print from Acrobat. The reason why I save as an old version that EPS, it's time to save the file is very short. I tried to print the larger map I directly in Illustrator and stopped printing after an hour of queue. The same file, back-recorded in a Version 8 EPS, take ~ 45 seconds to record, 1 minute to distill and ~ 5 minutes for the coil and to start printing on our HPs. In this way, you can maintain the integrity of the placed images or embedded in your file HAVE original without having to adjust or re-rasterize images. You can also use Acrobat to refine your optimization without destroying your original files. It can also help you find out if you have a problem with a font, bad graphic style or bad faster than if you had to wait an hour for it to be rolled up, and then the printer will tell you, he had a postscript error.

If your effects of rasterization of the Illustrator document are set to high and use one of the press to distill defining default values, you should be able to get good results and the fastest wait time possible. It is also beneficial because everything you have in a mask will be cropped (images) or deleted (paths that are not visible. This also flattens the transparency effects that you may have.

It is my experience and has been a very reliable way for me to print anything I have, be it a size or tiled to make a 18'x 9' card. (One of my clients wanted to paper a wall with a highly detailed relief, the world satellite map.) Satellite image was 200 dpi to scale to 100% tile and it has started printing after about 15 minutes of waiting).

    Hope this helps,

    D.
