  According to the HP support site, there are drivers available for Vista and Windows 7 If you're lucky it. Download the appropriate drivers for your computers. According to the information of product from HP, this printer can be connected directly to the network by an ethernet cable. I don't see where it has wireless capability, but in any case ethernet is preferable for printer connections if possible.

  I want to connect my Laser Jet 4100N directly to my laptop which only has USB and LAN ports.

  The printer has a parallel port and a LAN port.

  I have access to WiFi internet, the modem is located in another room.

  I have a CAT 5/6 connecting cable.

  I get the 192.168.1.8 IPv4 address for my computer by typing IPCONFIG at the command prompt.

  I connected the crossover between my laptop and the printer cable.

  Turn on the printer lit up an indicator on the LAN port on the printer.

  In the menu devices & printers, I added a new option of "using TCP/IP" printer and 192.168.1.8 provided IP address.

  The computer search TCP/IP but end in nothing.

  Please help me to communicate with the printer.

  You try to use your wireless PC address to print with a wired device.

  Your PC has two network adapters, they are not in fact cards, they are integrated into the motherboard and but I will refer to them as cards for simplicity, or I could call ports.

  When you find the IP address of your PC you are probably finding an IP address wireless, but since you're wired card has never been configured statically and is not connected to a network there is no ip address.

  What I would do would be statically configure the IP address of the port wired on your PC, & I would something like 192. 168 2. 2, with a default gateway of 192. 168 2. 10, & a subnet mask of 255. 255 255. 0 and don't worry because you do not connect you to the largest network on the DNS servers. Then I go to the printer and change the network settings and give it a 192 IP address. 168 2. 10 and its default gateway I would set it to 192. 168 2. 2 and the subnet mask would be the same that you set on the PC.

  Regarding the process of search for the cable network on your PC etting sand information in map, I think you need to do some research of the internet based on your operating system. I mean version of Windows operating system. Windows 7 would be different from Windows 8 in perhaps a few minor details.

  The reason why I change that a number from 1 to a game in your IP address is that it puts the port wired into a network separate from the wireless port, in my view, that will keep your PC of confusion as to which port uses to communicate with the printer.

  Is it possible to make a Laser Jet 4000 printer a wireless printer?

  Well, it took a bit of digging to find a solution for this old printer but I don't know yet, it works as a reservoir.  What I see in the manual, this printer had a connectors series and parallel.  No USB, no Ethernet.   These types of connections are blindly for wireless installation.  With the help of 'conversion' and cables using a wireless USB print server may or may not work, same Ethernet may not work.

  You are looking for more on the above, but here's another solution that can help.

  If you have a desktop running Windows 7, get a card series or parallel to install inside.  Now install the printer drivers that are included with Windows 7.  Now, just SHARE the printer on your network with the computer connected wireless or wired to your router.

  I noticed your post about how you can't scan with your MFP HP Laserjet Pro 177fw on your Mac. And I'm happy to discuss this issue scan for you!

  To confirm that the hardware of the printer is functional, you are able to make a copy with the glass of the scanner of the printer?

  To copy:

  1. load the document on the scanner glass according to the indicators on the product.

  2. close the scanner.

  3. on the product control panel, press the button number of Copies.

  4. Select the number of copies.

  5. press the black start copy button or the button color launch copy to start copying.

  I hope someone can help please. Yesterday, I was using my printer color Laser Jet CM1312nfi MFP multifunction scan a few pages. The analysis went through fine without problem like so many others before. No changes have been made to the system and I am the only person using the computer and the printer.

  About 45 minutes after the last scan, I went to scan another page when I got this message:

  "No Twain compatible device installed, please install one and try again.

  The scanner wouldn't work. I tried restarting the computer and the printer on and outside, does not. I thought that maybe there was a problem with the machine itself or a loose cable or connection but the machine still print documents.

  I tried to use HP printing and doctor Scan and it does not work. He guided me to several pilots. I downloaded and tried one called "CM1312series-win7-full-solution-AM-EMEA1-v5.1". The installation will not fully cross and reverses. The same thing happens when I try to reinstall the original software that I used to use the scanner a few years back.

  I finally solved the problem the next day after several hours of frustration.

  I would like to uninstall the driver software, disconnect the USB cable, and restart the computer. After the reboot, I would try one of the options mentioned previously. At some point, the installation process asked me to reconnect the USB cable and then click on the button 'OK' or 'Continue' in the dialog box for installion.

  However, I noticed that as soon as I plugged in the USB cable, but before I could click the button, Windows would automatically begin to install a driver. That would be doing the same thing. He would install components 6 or 7, 4 or 5 would move to print successfully. A separate status dialog box would jump to the top showing these parts installed. A green check mark appears beside the print functions. However, 2 components dealing with sweeping would not install properly. These components would get a red X next to them.

  During this time, I would have clicked on the button 'OK' or 'Continue' in the dialog box for installion. After a few minutes, the installation abort itself and I would end up having to uninstall the driver and restart everything again.

  Finally, he appeared on me that 2 separate facilities are taking place at the same time. What finally solved the problem after uninstalling the driver and restart again, I started the original installation process, but when I was asked to connect the USB cable, I first disconnected the computer from the internet and then connected the USB cable.

  Before I could click on the "Continue" button, I noticed that the separate installation process began again. Immediately, I clicked the X in this dialog box to put an end to this facility. I then clicked 'Continue' on the installation dialog box desired and it finally all settled. Once it is installed, I reconnected it the computer to the internet and the scanner now worked.

  OK, I'm about to explode a joint here. I bought a new router and I have now the 100 HP Laser Jet color MFP M175nw problems to connect. I can connect and print via USB, but not wireless. I can see the printer on my computer in the Network Center and he has five bars of signal WiFi. I uninstalled everything and run the MS Utility and then reinstalled the software.   I see by your post you are having problems setting up the printer on the wireless network. I will definitely do my best to help you.

  Restore the default settings of the network printer.

  • Press the Setup button. (key)
  • Select the network configuration Menu.
  • Then select default settings.

  Print a configuration report to ensure that the IP address is 0.0.0.0 and the SSID is disabled.

  Print a Configuration report.

  Here are the instructions to set up the printer via the Direct wireless set up the printer on the network as the Infrastructure.

  Turn the wireless directly on the printer.

  On the printer, press the setup button, select (key) and network configuration menu, select wireless menu, select direct wireless and turn it on.

  On the computer, in the lower right corner, click on the wireless icon, and select the printer from the list to connect to. Then open Internet Explorer and type the IP address (192.168.223.1) of the printer in the address bar.
  This will load the web server integrated for the printer.
  Select the networking, Wi - Fi on the left side.
  Fill in all your information network, select infrastructure, select the name of your network, set password and encryption type. Apply the settings.

  Click on the wireless icon and connect to your network name.

  Print a configuration report to ensure that the IP address is valid. (192... or 10...)

  Now, create a new port, this will save you the time, instead of uninstall and then reinstall the software.

  Go to start, devices and printers, right click on the printer, go to the printer properties, select the Ports tab.

  Click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.

  Thanks for the information.  I suspect that it is within the connection.  Try to connect the printer directly to the computer.  If it does not, add the driver through Windows with the USB cable connected directly to the PC.  See the information below about the drivers to use.  Here is a link that will provide measures for this.   Can someone tell me the type of cable I would need to be able to print to my hp laser jet 4 p compatible with my home network air. I understand that a USB cable works except there is no USB port on the printer.

  You must be able to connect to your network so that you can consider using a JetDirect 300 x attached to the printer connected and parallel cable wired port on your router.

  Not sure if that will get with Apple Air Print, but it will get the 4 p is connected to the network.

The printer prints the shadows cast on the left and right of the paper edges, but also the light shadows in the printing.  I saw the HP Toolbox for my printer and tried to print a cleaning page.  All I get is a text box indicating that the printer could not be accessed, even if it will calibrate and print a test page. I need different drivers or is there another solution?

  The driver may be corrupted not allowing all the features work.

  There could be a problem with the toner or the fuser unit causing this problem.

  Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet and the USB cable is connected directly to the computer. Try running Cleanup again.

  If you still have problems you can uninstall and reinstall the latest version of the software.

  (1) U have tried to reinstall the printer drivers? Try to clean the print cartridge using the hp software installed...
  (2) if the problem persists, reinstall the cartiridges...
  (3) make surré cartiridges meet ink, the wires are properly pluged in electricity, as well as cable usb to computer, usb messages work

• Laser Jet 2100 PCL with Windows 7 (x 64)

  Recently, I pulled out my old XP machine to a new one running 64-bit Windows 7.  My old PCL6 Laser Jet 2100 always worked fine on XP but I can't get anything to print on the new machine.  When I plugged it in the Win 7 box it installed in a minute or two and said all was ready.  When I sent a test page to him, it showed print but nothing happened.  The printer displays printer status is ready, but nothing happens.

  I use a cable GB adapter cable to the parallel port on the printer to a USB port, same as I did on the XP box.  Do I need a newer cable?  Is it possible to make my old workhorse 2100 printing in Win 7 box?

  I understand that you have a fax job that will not print from your printer Laserjet M127fw range. I can help you with that.

  To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. When done, remove the cable from the back of the printer's fax. Now:

  1. Click on the configuration icon that looks like a key.
  2. Click on Service.
  3. Click Fax Service.
  4. Click clear saved faxes.
  5. Connect the cable of the fax.
