LaserJet 5200 leaving Streak

I'm new to this interview printer thing everything and our LJ5200 recently began to leave a trail. I tried to replace the toners, but this didn't solve the problem. I got to be clarified by printing ~ 25 copies blank to make the streak to disappear, but then once I have add any toner to the page the streak comes back to us. I tried to do the cleaning page thing and that had no effect at all. I wonder if its possible fuser goes wrong without giving me a message. Any ideas would be great. I'll be back in the office in the morning to add images of the pages with the streak. I spent about an hour by changing things I thought that he can solve (with the help of google), but nothing has worked until now, so I just went back to the default settings. I need to get this cleared up as soon as possible. Thank you! Sorry if there was something similar posted I did some quick research and could not find anything.

Have you removed the fuser and inspected the roll? You would probably be able to see an article on the roll.

You can also do a test. Print a page and stop him before entering the future and see if the line is present or not.

  • HP 8750 leaves streaks each 3 inches

    Hello

I have a HP Photosmart 8750 large-format printer that I had problems with during some time now.  When I print anything, regardless of the size, colour/black & white, or the type of paper the printer leaves streaks every 3 inches.  These trails are the paper outside sources in a horizontal direction.  I have attached a few photos so that you can see the results.  The first is a 12 x 12 inch (cut when I scanned a bit) image and the second is a 8.5 "x 11" text document where you see streaks on the lines that begin with 'any color... ' and 'coat of paint... ". "I installed the printer on a PC and a Mac and it does the same thing, so I'm sure this isn't a driver problem.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what is happening?  I'm at a point where I think I'm throwing the printer, but would like to know if there is some kind of fix for this.

Thanks a lot for any assistance!

    Elke-

The cause is easy to describe, but may be difficult to solve.  There is a circular encoder disc that tracks where the book is such that it is powered by the roll.  This encoder must have an ink or similar task which is causing a "bunp" every revolution.  (Depending on the size of the main rollers 3 "spacing would be a revolution).

The solution is a little more difficult, and I have never had to do that so much of what follows is speculation.  You need carefully clean the disk encoder with flat water and perhaps a q-tip or a similar flexible element.  Cleaning precautions are similar to the band of coding of cleaning as described here, except the encoder disc is harder to do :-).  Now the hard part: the disk encoder is relatively well protected.  It is at the end of the roll bar on the left side of the printer.  I never disassemble this model so I won't be much help. Please take a look and see if you can understand something, post here and I can take mine on his perch and preview detailed.

Be careful when the unit of failover on the side or upside down, depends on the use that the printer had that may cause ink to overflow area service station on the right side.

  • LaserJet 2300: Laserjet 2300 horizontal streaks

    Hello

We have a 2300 Laserjet that works very well. That the cartridge is empty, we bought the spare cartridges which are officially HP 10A (Q2610A) 2300 series voor.  After we started making copies again, but they came out with a lot of black horizontal stripes, so almost a black page, which makes it almost impossible to read anything. When we gave the old man a (almost empty), we could make another copy with ink on the left and the copy was perfect once again. Put the new one in, even black streaks. As we thought that maybe this cartridge was defective or has been damaged, we decided to open the second cartridge we bought, but without success. Also of black streaks. And the former providing perfect copies. So does that mean? If we have forgotten something? Is something with the new cartridges?

    Hope someone can help us.

    Best regards, Luc

I don't know where you purchased the cartridges. Since this is now an old printer, it is possible that you got of the toner cartridges that are obsolete and not stored properly. They have the wiper blades that can go wrong when not stored in correct temperatures. If HP original back instead of purchase for refund or Exchange. Something tells me that you probably bought toners on ebay then you can be out of luck. Also the box they came in should be black and white. So blue and white you got very old ink cartridges.

  • HP LaserJet 5200tn leaving wrinkles and marks on printed documents

    Hi all

We have a printer HP LaserJet 5200tn here at the office who leaves the wrinkles and marks on printed documents. These lines and these marks do not slather with the touch of a finger on the paper. They vary in intensity - some impressions have more margins on them than others (see attachments). These marks appear on the bottom of the pages, but there are some in the upper right.

I tried to replace the toner as well as cleaning of the roller behind the toner cartridge, however it only did not help.

I think you have to buy a maintenance kit, Q7543-67909 part number, to fix this problem - but I wanted to check to see what your thoughts are with many people.

What do you think? Please see the attachments. These attachments are two blank paper printed from Microsoft Word documents. Please ignore the pale lines and dark seen in the middle of the spare part, these are just the analysis of printed documents.

    Thank you

    Casey

Hard to tell with the samples. Make what is called a half test. Place a sheet of paper on the manual before folding tray, open any other tray and make a self-test, it draws the paper in. When the rear edge of the paper into the printer, quickly open the toner door to stop printing. Now, remove the toner cartridge and look at the picture without fuse below. If the fault is present the toner cartridge is bad and must be replaced. If the defect is not present then the fuser unit has a problem and maintenance kit would be a good idea. You can work around probably install the kit right now if you use only letter or a legal document. Just reposition paper in the tray, so the edge is the side 8.5 what you can do. I think it is called letter-r for rotate. This can work because most of the time the problem is sleeve fuser film starts to go bad on the edges. Having the book go thru in the position of rotation bypasses the bad part of the fuser unit. Good luck.

  • HP Laserjet P1006 leaves suddenly printing wirelessly - between print jobs. Instantly.

    HI -.
I used to be able to print wireless from my macbook Pro (OSX 10.8.3) on my Laserjet P1006.

I can still print if I connect via USB, but as soon as I unplug the window ' print and scan "says that my printer is offline.

I was inbetween print jobs when printer suddenly stopped allowing my computer to print wireless.  There was nothing that I could see that he would set.

I tried to stop (computer and printer, same wireless router) and turn it on again.

I tried showing computer not to retain printer... then you reconnect with USB to recognize as good as new.  That did not work.

I tried to follow the instructions for MAC and for this specific printer to a post someone else the fact, but the instructions meant to hit utility from the 'Open Print Queue' window and I did not have this option.  He also says to look for Hello, I don't ' have that option.

    I'm wiped out.

How can I return my wireless connection?

    Hello

Teh Laserjet P1006 is a single USB printer and does not include any wireless connection:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01173154

Can you connected the pritner to a print server (a port on a router, etc.) in the past? specific model of said does not support any connection without using a USB key.

  • HP Laserjet M553: HP Laserjet M553 leaves two-sided printing

I'm running 10 Windows on a desktop HP Envy with a printer HP Laserjet M553. I have this printer for a little more than a month.  I was able to print two-sided dox on this printer with only one or two times before this opportunity not to print on one page (front and back).  In these situations, I was able to stop the printer and the computer, and then restart both and duplexing continued.  Now, happened for the 3rd time after several weeks of use unless it occurs and it refuses to print duplex style once rebooted, even having to sit off the power, unplug computer and wall of a catch of the day to the next.  Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions as to why this is occuring?

Unless you send a primitive regime print jobs (such as DOS, or non-TASSES * n * x systems), default values or settings of the printer itself will not usually come into play.

With print jobs generated by modern windows and * n * x systems, the printing itself must contain printer-language 'orders' to select the mode of plex. the printer should just obey them.

The only possible exception is if you chose some document types (e.g., transparency); for these types of paper, you must use "manual duplex printing" rather than "auto duplex printing.

Maybe you (inadvertently) select printing in your application, or preferably driver printer settings?

  • Photosmart b110a leaves streaks and black ink when printing card

The printer is around the age of 18 months and until recently printed perfectly to any type of paper we used, now, although print on normal paper, whenever we try to send the same file to print card 200gsm, large black ink as a streaks appear at the beginning of the printed area.  Change the type of paper for 'Matt card' makes no difference.  The printer is used by many laptops all running on a OS (Vista, XP & now Win 7) all have the same result.  I changed the black cartridge several times, but it makes no difference.  Everyone knows this or can anyone suggest anything else I can try.  Thank you very much

  • HP Laserjet does not print

My HP Laserjet 1320 leaves printing several copies of a single document several weeks ago. Yesterday, I uninstalled, reinstalled, turned off the printer, unplugged, it turned on and plugged in. The computer '' recognized '' a new piece of hardware, installed a pilot... nd then refused to print at all, not even simple. After that, I turned off everything, unplugged and replugged the printer and still nothing. Then I checked the updates and found that HP has had a new update to the 1320 in December, so I tried to install that (three times), but it will not install. I just get a failure message. I have Windows 8 on my desktop PC. I have also (used to) have the printer configured so I could access it from other computers in the House to print via wi - fi. Help! I have a job for which I need to print 600 copies of a single document, and now I can't print anything.

Sure, go ahead and remove the second printer 1320.

My installation of 1320 under Win7.

Strange the HP has a USB port in the support doc.

  • Streaks M551

I have a customer with a M551 leaves streaks on the page.  Here's what I found:

    -The streaks are black

-Streaks are very wide and dark when the printer has not been used for a few days and greatly improves with multiple page printing

-All ink cartridges have been replaced

-There are no scratches or abnormalities on the cartridges

-The streaks appear on the transfer belt, but it is just loose toner that can be wiped off with a tissue

-There is loose toner on top of the yellow cartridge - it is just below where the transfer belt revolves around its roll
-The cleaning cycle makes no difference

-All the toner cartridges are HP original, and that's all that was used

-This has happened for several months and the black cartridge has been emptied and replaced several times

There is an attached PDF file showing streaks in their light version.  I could not get a page that I could share publicly with the really bad version.

    Any thoughts?

    Hello TrippB,
  • LaserJet 1300: laserjet 1300

I use the hp PCL5 driver.  My printer has been printing a very bright image.  I'm looking for the printer features to check the EconoMode setting.  What should I check to make copies darker and easier to read?  I tried the new cartridges without success.

If you print a Configuration page how is it?

I think on this model, all you have to do is press the go button and hold the button for 5 seconds approximately.

If the config page is faded at least you know it's not software and it could be a mirror scanner dirty laser.

To set the printer default back you can do a cold reboot.

Turn the printer off, press in and hold the Go button, turn on the printer while continuing to press the Go button, after at least a second five wait but before 15 seconds elapsed released the Go button. Somewhere during the process of attention turns on and after you release the button lights up flashes for a bit and then the printer will go to a ready state.

If you print a config page after a cold reset and it still faded and you have a hardware problem and passed out to print is usually just a dusty mirror.

If you have a hardware problem that you want to search for the service manual for your printer, you should be able to find on the internet.

I suspect that someone has posted instructions on how to clean the mirror scanner laser somewhere online and maybe even a video. Remember the hands of oil finger of optical surfaces can be difficult to remove and clean the optics with dry swabs you just remove dust, cleaning liquid leaves streaks.
